Abstract

In recent years, minimization of logistics and transportation costs has become essential for manufacturing companies to increase profits. One thing is done to reduce logistics and transportation costs by optimizing the route of taking or transporting components from each supplier. Route optimization to minimize total transportation costs is a problem that often finds in Vehicle Routing Problems (VRP). Problem Capacitated Vehicle Routing with Time Windows (CVRPTW) is one variant of VRP that considers the vehicle capacity and the service period of each vehicle. CVRPTW is a Non-Polynomial Hard (NP-Hard) problem that requires an efficient and effective algorithm in solving problems that occur in this automotive company. This study uses the Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithm by testing using several parameters to solve the CVRPTW problem. The test results using the ACO algorithm obtained a faster route compared to the method applied by the company.

Abstract

Performance measurement is an essential factor for an organization to control the implementation of the strategy. The existing performance measurement system only evaluates financial performance. This study aims to propose the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and measuring hospital performance with SWOT and BSC integration. Stages of research are determining internal and external factors with SWOT analysis, formulating alternative strategies, translating strategies into BSC perspective on strategic maps, determining performance indicators (KPI), KPI validation with AHP to obtain indicator weights for each view, and measuring hospital performance. Based on the results of the study, performance indicators (KPI) for hospitals based on the Balanced Scorecard perspective are six financial perspective indicators, two customer perspective indicators, four internal process perspective indicators, and five growth and learning perspective indicators. The internal process perspective is 90.43%, which means that the performance of the hospital is very healthy with the AA category, and learning 68.89% means that the performance of the hospital is very healthy with category A.

Abstract

The public bike-sharing system has a problem where the number of bicycles at the docking station needs to be balanced to ensure system user satisfaction. The usual solution is to distribute bicycles so that system users can still park for locations that are usually full of bicycles or pick up bicycles at locations that normally lack bicycles. The purpose of solving this problem is to get a vehicle route with the total operating costs of the vehicle. The full vehicle operating costs are associated with the full time taken by the vehicle to distribute the bicycle. Besides, there are also penalty fees related to the lack of bikes or parking slots at the time of operation of the public bike-sharing facility. In this study, two variations of the simulated annealing (SA) algorithm were developed to solve the SBRP problem called SA_BF and SA_CF. The data used comes from a Velib bike-sharing system case study in Paris, France. The results of the experiment show that both the SA_BF and SA_CF algorithms succeeded in solving SBRP. This algorithm has an average difference of 2.21% and 0.36% of the Arc-Indexed algorithm (AI) from previous studies in the first dataset. As for the second dataset, Tabu Search algorithm, SA_BF and SA_CF obtained an average difference of 0.65%, 1.08% and 0.38% of the optimal results.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the classification of attribute needs of purchasing services through the Adorable Projects website by using the integration of e-Servqual and Kano Models. The selection of these objectives is based on the low level of website usage as an online purchasing tool owned by Adorable Projects. The classification activity aims to make it easier for Adorable Projects to make improvements to the quality of its website services. Based on the results of data processing, 24 attributes in the must be the category, two attributes in the one-dimensional category, three attributes in the attractive category, and four attributes in the indifferent category. Strategy priority in developing service quality by increasing the diversity of service delivery features and product review features. The integration of e-Servqual and Kano can assist business owners in making strategic decisions related to improving the service quality.

Abstract

The particular characteristics of spare parts have prompted several authors to provide substantial results for effective spare parts supply chain management. In this context, the purpose of this paper is to present the significant contributions that researchers have proposed, over time, for the spare parts supply chain management. The literature has shown that the particular characteristics of spare parts have a significant impact on inventory performance and customer demand fulfillment. For this reason, most of the contributions were focused on spare parts classification methods, forecasting methods and inventory optimization.  The focus of researchers on some areas of spare parts management allowed us to identify some promising perspectives that were not developed in the literature, such as the development of performance measurement frameworks for the spare parts supply chain and the measurement of organizational maturity.

Abstract

The largest kenaf culture in Indonesia is in Laren, Lamongan. Kenaf plants are suitable to be planted in the Bonorowo field. The less potential land conditions make the cultivation of kenaf plants must use chemicals. The use of chemicals has the potential to harm the environment. The approach to identifying and analyzing environmental impacts is the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). LCA is one method to find out the life cycle of agriculture. LCA stages are Goal and Scope Definition, Life Cycle Inventory, Life Cycle Impact Assessment, and Interpretation. Environmental impact measurement is based on fifteen categories grouped into four categories. LCA processing results show the use of urea fertilizer has the most significant negative impact on the environment. The biggest impact category due to the use of urea fertilizer is aquatic ecotoxicity. The use of urea fertilizer affects the types of resources, climate change, ecosystem quality, and human health. Of the four groups, which have the highest value, are the resource group. The use of urea fertilizer has the most significant role in the success of kenaf cultivation because kenaf cultivation requires more N elements to improve the quality of kenaf stems. The use of organic fertilizer can be an option to reduce the use of urea fertilizer.

Abstract

PT. GMT has a mission to deliver the products to the customer on time and high-quality products to improve services. Sometimes, the delivery of product delays caused by the raw materials delays or didn't meet specifications. Selection optimal suppliers of raw materials are one of the solutions. There are two factors must be considered for the selection of suppliers, qualitative factors and quantitative factors. In this study, for qualitative factors, based on the criteria needed by PT GMT. This research produces three Linear Programming models, first: a qualitative objective function that will be maximized called the Total Value of Purchase (TVP). TVP is an integration of the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Mix Integer Programming Integration. Second, the quantitative objective function for the procurement cost of raw materials, which is called the Total Cost of Purchase (TCP). The third is to optimize qualitative and quantitative simultaneously using the Goal Programming method. The selection of suppliers based on TVP the total value is 97.25, and the total procurement cost is Rp. 36,914,000, based on TCP, the total value is 89.14, and the total of procurement cost is IDR 31,356,000, while based on Goal Programming, the total value is 93.18, and the total of procurement cost is IDR 32,621,000. PT GMT has been able to determine the optimal supplier based on the policies set.

Abstract

This research discusses the maintenance problem of a small commercial aircraft with propeller engine, typed ATR-72. Based on the maintenance records, the aircraft has average 294 routine activities that have to be monitored and done based on determined threshold interval. This research focuses on developing a metaheuristic model to optimize the aircraft’s utility, called Crow Search Algorithm (CSA) to solve the Aircraft Maintenance Problem (AMP). The algorithm is developed and tested  whether a younger metaheuristic method, CSA, is able to give better performance compared to the older methods, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and other hybridized method PSO with Greedy Randomized Adaptive Search Optimization (PSO-GRASP). Several experiments are performed by using parameters: 1000 maximum iteration and 600 maximum computation time by using four dataset combinations. The results show that CSA can give better performance than PSO but worse than PSO-GRASP.
