Abstract

The importance of expertise in the field of programming today makesVocational High Schools as early as a possible incorporate curriculum that canlearn skills in programming, which is then called basic programming subjects. These subjects are the initial foundation, to study other productive subjects thatmust be studied by students in the field of ICT expertise. However, in reality, students tend to dislike these subjects because they feel difficulties inunderstanding and learning them. Therefore, we try to present a solution toovercome this problem by developing basic programming educational media, especially in the material of branching control structures by embedding thesyntax of problem-posing learning models in the type of open-posing into theinteraction flow. This educational media is called TOLSYASUPI-EduMed. Theresearch and development method (R&D) was used as the main method in thisstudy. The model for system development uses ADDIE by adapting the R&Dmethod. A/B testing methods are used to validate the initial selection ofeducational media design. The form of design until the development stage isvalidated by media and material experts as much as 3 iterations, to ensure thatthe educational media can look for effects on the effectiveness of learning. Atotal of 36 students were involved in the use of this educational media.Evaluation of the use of educational media to determine aspects of satisfactionand usability using the Computer System Usability Questionnaire (CSUQ)method. The results of the study stated that 90.9% of experts agreed that VeryStrong to choose design B to continue at the advanced design, development, and implementation stages. The results of the validation of media and materialexperts state that it is feasible to use. Based on functional requirementsspecifications, all features function properly, and non-functionally 94.49% withpredicates Very Strong that end-users (students) are satisfied and feel theusefulness of this TOLSYASUPI-EduMed.

Abstract

Sugar cane disease is a major factor in reducing sugar cane yields. The low intensity of experts to go into the field to check the condition of sugar cane causes the handling of sugarcane disease tends to be slow. This problem can be solved by instilling expert intelligence on sugar cane into an expert system. In this study the method of classification of sugar cane disease was proposed using Extreme Learning Machine (ELM). However, ELM alone is not enough to classify multilabel and multiclass disease case data in this study. Therefore, it is proposed to optimize the weight of hidden neurons in ELM using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). The experimental results show that the classification using ELM alone can reach an accuracy rate of 71%. After the weight of hidden neurons from ELM was optimized, the accuracy rate became 79.92% or an increase of 8.92%.

Abstract

Agricultural product storage has a problem that need to be noticedbecause it has an impact in gaining the profit according to the number ofproducts and the capacity of storage. Inappropriate combination of productcauses high expenses and low profit. To solve the problem, we propose geneticalgorithm (GA) as the optimization method. Although GA is good enough tosolve the problem, GA not always gives an optimum result in complex searchspaces because it is easy to be trapped in local optimum. Therefore, we presenta hybrid real-coded genetic algorithm and Variable Neighborhood Search(HRCGA-VNS) to solve the problem. VNS is applied after reproductionprocess of GA to repair the offspring and improve GA exploitation capabilitiesin local area to get better result. The test results show that the optimal popsizeof GA is 180, number of generations is 80, combination of cr and mr is 0.7 and0.3 while optimum Kmax of VNS is 40 with number of iterations 50. Eventhough HRCGA-VNS need longer computational time, HRCGA-VNS hasproven to provide a better result based on higher fitness value compared withclassical GA and VNS.

Abstract

BPMN has become the standard of business process modeling indescribing the existing series of business process. By engaging BPMN, an analystwould possibly able to model the whole business process activities in whichhe/she may analyze business process upon design time. It can be done byanalyzing the structure, behavior, or semantic of process model. In certaincondition one may ask a question what would the effects of the process be if itwere to be executed up to this point?. However, it cannot be solved with onlygraphical notation, but with its semantics. In practice, several modeling tools stilldo not provide a feature for managing information regarding the effects/resultsin the business process model. In fact, analysts should be supported with a toolin order to semantically enrich a process model with its effects. This articledescribes effect annotation semantically towards activity in the BPMN modelincluding the rules in representing its effects. The effect annotation will be suitedtowards activity type (atomic and compound activities). The outcomes of plugin development of eclipse BPMN2 modeler for representing semantic effect arealso described in this paper.

Abstract

In recent years, depth images are popular research in imageprocessing, especially in clustering field. The depth image can captureby depth cameras such as Kinect, Intel Real Sense, Leap Motion, and etc. Many objects and methods can be implemented in clustering field andissues. One of popular object is human hand since has many functionsand important parts of human body for daily routines. Besides, theclustering method has been developed for any goal and even combinewith another method. One of clustering method is Density-Based SpatialClustering of Applications with Noise (DBSCAN) which automaticclustering method consists of minimum points and epsilon. Define theepsilon in DBSCAN is important thing since the result depends on those. We want to look for the best epsilon for clustering human hand in thedepth images. We selected the epsilon from 5 until 100 for getting thebest clustering results. Moreover, those epsilons will be testing in threedistance to get accurate results.

Abstract

One of the most fatal natural disasters in Batu City was a landslide. The percentage of casualties if directly affected by landslides is 47%. This number is quite large when compared to other natural disasters. Even though the potential of the tsunami is the biggest, when compared to the intensity of the occurrence, landslides are the most common and most often cause fatalities. One of the causes of many fatalities in natural disasters is the lack of preparedness management. For that reason the need to develop a technology that can support to reduce fatalities in landslides is needed. One of the technologies used to prevent the number of fatalities caused by natural disasters is to use multi-agent system. One of the advantages of an agent is use Belief-Desire-Intention (BDI) models for building the Muiti-Agent Systems (MAS). The specific objective of this study was to model a simulated natural disaster landslide using the Prometheus Methodology. Evaluation is done by generating a model using jackCode and implementing it using the Java Agent Development Framework. The results of this study indicate that a model made using the Prometheus Methodology can be used as a simulation of natural disaster preparedness for landslides.

Abstract

The target indicators for the success of training conducted by the XYZ institution in 2018 are achieved in un-ideal conditions. The target of the average Competency Gap Index (CGI) value is achieved by reducing the measurement parameters of the work competency standard (SKK). This condition is a fact that the success of the training in the XYZ institution still lacks in its achievements. Based on the explanation of the problem, this study will apply the concept of Business Process Management (BPM) to conduct an analysis of the business process of conducting training in the XYZ institution to identify the possible problems that occur in the business process. This study aims to analyze and modeling the current business process of training program (as-is). The research methodology uses literature studies and data collection from interviews, observations, and supporting documents. The results of this study are proposed business processes (to-be) which are recommendations for improvement in current business processes (as-is). The business process is modeled used the standard modeling of Business Process and Notation (BPMN) version 2.0.
