Abstract

User experience can be a measure of acceptance of an application. The user experience measurement aims to provide input in evaluating the development, improvement and maintenance of the UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) application based on the level of user experience using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). 6 aspects of UEQ were chosen because they have advantages over the others. User trust can decrease, even lead to frustration when a user experiences a failure in the user experience. It is feared that the data entered into the SPMI application is inaccurate or seems perfunctory. This has the potential to affect the evaluation and improvement of each study program. This research was conducted to SPMI admins from each study program at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. The results of measuring user experience from the SPMI application of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang showed positive evaluation results with categories above the average, namely in the aspects of perspicuity (1.712), dependability (1.470), and stimulation (1.167), novelty (0.917). Meanwhile, in terms of attractiveness (1.626) and efficiency (1.864). The results are included in the good category, but efforts still need to be made to improve the quality of the novelty to be more innovative in its development.

Abstract

This study presents a comparative analysis of traditional disk-based and cloud-based Backup and Disaster Recovery (DR) approaches, focusing on the challenges inherent in existing solutions, such as high infrastructure costs, extended recovery times, and operational disruptions during software updates. Conventional disk-based systems often require periodic reboots and manual interventions, which can interrupt ongoing operations. In contrast, cloud-based solutions, particularly Asigra, offer a streamlined alternative by reducing infrastructure dependency, enhancing recovery metrics—specifically Recovery Point Objective (RPO) and Recovery Time Objective (RTO)—and minimizing maintenance downtime through agentless and incremental backups. Cloud backup provides comprehensive upgrades without the need for system reboots, thereby saving time and improving operational effectiveness. This study evaluates the proposed cloud-based approach in a village government organizational environment, analyzing its performance based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), RPO, and RTO. Cloud-based configurations are compared with traditional setups to assess improvements in disaster recovery procedures and data storage. Findings demonstrate that cloud-based strategies offer simpler and more efficient DR solutions, providing superior scalability, reliability, and administrative ease tailored to the unique needs of village government data management.

Abstract

The shift from traditional classroom settings to online learning has become prevalent in most higher education institutions. A key tool facilitating this transition is the Learning Management System (LMS). Commonly used e-learning platforms include Google Classroom and Zoom. This research was aimed to identify the factors that influence the students’ acceptance of technology in the education field. It involved the master's students in the computer science program at Brawijaya University as the participants. To fill in the gap in the previous research, the research employed the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), incorporating additional external factors such as the impact of application features and their interoperability. The methodology involved formulating hypotheses and using path analysis to examine the relationships between these factors. The results revealed that the variables PE, PEX, EEX, FC, PI, and PA influence both Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) and Perceived Usefulness (PU), with values of significance below 0.05. Similarly, PEOU and PU are shown to significantly affect actual system use.
