Abstract

Some characteristics of clean drinking water are fresh water, colorless and not smoky. One of the water sources that are considered clean and worth drinking is through PDAM (Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum). Water from PDAM was chosen because it has gone through various physical and chemical processes, so that PDAM-assisted water is considered clean enough to be used for daily needs in the future. Factors that affect the level of water feasibility are usually determined from the mixed content of the water. One of the ingredients used by PDAM is chlorine as a disinfectant to maintain water cleanliness and protect from bacteria. Referring to the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia 492 / MENKS / PER / IV / 2017, the upper limit of chlorine content in drinking water is 5 mg / L. Water quality classification system designed by utilizing pH sensors to know the acidity level in water, turbidity sensors to know the level of turbidity in water, and TDS sensors to know the amount of dissolved substance content in water. Then the system will store and process input data from the sensor using the fuzzy method of takagi-sugeno model to classify water quality based on its content into three groups, namely safe, processed and dangerous. During the testing phase of the system, from 4 experiments with 3 PDAM water samples, the accuracy rate obtained from the system and compared to existing tools was 100%.

Abstract

Student Academic Information System of Brawijaya University (SIAM UB) is a system provided by Brawijaya University which functions to help student services in academic matters. A system that is said to be good if it can meet user needs to increase user satisfaction. The purpose of this research is to determine the decent experiences and bad experiences of users and the classification of features that affect the level of gratification and disappointment based on user perceptions. The method used in this research is the interview method and the Kano method. The interview method is obtained to explore the experience of using SIAM features. The Kano method is obtained to categorize the features into categories in the Kano Model. Namely Attractive, Indifferent, Must Be, One Dimensional, Reverse and Questionable. After grouping the features, the calculation of increases and decreases to the level of user satisfaction with each feature is carried out using Better and Worse. Informants taken in the interview method were 13 respondents, the number was retrieved based on saturation data and the collection was conducted by snowball sampling. Meanwhile, for the Kano method as many as 98 respondents by distributing to students of the UB Faculty of Computer Science. The results of the interview method were the decent experiences that many respondents felt because SIAM helped meet the needs of academic services, and the bad experiences felt by many respondents because they often experienced server downs. The result of the Kano method is that the student entrepreneurial data feature is in the Indifferent category, the attendance feature and fast track registration are in the Attractive category, the rest is in the One Dimensional category. Feature that has the highest Better and Worse scores is the recap feature of study results that is included in the One Dimensional category and the lowest is the student entrepreneurial data feature that is included in the Indefferent category.

Abstract

The security system in vehicles is something that must be considered because vehicles are often stolen which results in losses to the vehicle owner. Ease of control and a security system that can be monitored using only one communication device such as a mobile phone that can support a wireless connection is an opportunity to develop a vehicle security system. By designing a vehicle displacement detection system based on GPS data and the IMU sensor, it will become a more accurate tool to determine the condition of vehicles. In order for the system to classify the current situation more accurately, the Naive Bayes algorithm is applied. The use of GPS data in this study uses the NEO-6M module because a vehicle must be closely related or always have a coordinate location as long as it is within satellite coverage. This data is used as input along with data from the IMU sensor used in this study using the GY-61 accelerometer sensor. From this research test, the NE0-6M module has an accuracy value of 99.99%, the GY-61 sensor has an accuracy of 87,68%, and the SIM800 module can functionally run well. In the classification process that using Naive Bayes, an accuracy of 95% is obtained.

Abstract

The online test is a test that utilizes computers as a medium that replaces paper in the implementation of the exam. SMAN 1 Jombang and MAN 9 Jombang still uses conventional based exams where the exams still use paper media in their implementation, so teachers still have difficulty in correcting the results of the exams which makes the teacher correcting the exam takes quite a long time. In this online test application utilizing the services of Amazon Web Service as a server and storage. By utilizing the Ec2 and AWS Rds Database it is hoped that the online exam application can be accessed online and can be accessed by many people. With the construction of this system makes it easy for students to do the exam without having to face-to-face and makes it easier for teachers to hold examinations at school. The method used in developing online exam applications is the waterfall method where in the first stage, namely the study of literature to making conclusions. The tests used in this research are the Blackbox Testing method and the System Usability Scale. The results showed 32 respondents from SMAN 1 Jombang got SUS 71.09 results which were included in the acceptable or good category and at MAN 9 Jombang got SUS 72.29 results included in the acceptable or good category

Abstract

Grain-cipher Algorithm is a bit-oriented synchronous stream cipher. Grain-cipher is based on two shift registers, a linear feedback register, and Non-linear feedback register. The shift register has a size of 80 bits for key, and 64 bits for IV. Grain-cipher algorithm are chosen as the core of this research because of its lightweightness, which means that on its operation(encryption and decryption process), the algorithm will only uses a small amount of computing power. This research aims to see whether the algorithm will perform as it should in a constrained hardware environment. Grain-cipher are gonna do encryption and decryption process on ESP32 microcontroller. Bluetooth Low Energy(BLE) is going to handle the data transfer for both microcontrollers. In testing, the Grain-cipher algorithm performs the encryption and decryption method on the microcontroller without any problems. Result shows that ESP32 did both encryption and decryption process without any problems, and the data transfer between microcontroller using BLE, also performs very well. Exchanged data between the two microcontrollers is also cannot be read by the third microcontroller that doesn't have the key needed to do so(It will only show the ciphertext).

Abstract

In organizing academic activities, University of Brawijaya Television has many agendas to hold seminars and socialization about the process of completion of work and the process of delivery of related sciences. The number of seminar schedules at UBTV makes its leaders unable to see how far the progress of seminar submissions is processed. Then in the implementation of the seminar, the number of participants or speakers who have high degrees and positions makes the seminar participants ashamed to ask if they do not have a high level of confidence. The lack of time in the question and answer session became a problem for participants to ask questions, so there were participants that were still wondering since their questions are not answered yet. This has an effect on the knowledge of the participants if they do not know the answers to the questions that want to be asked during the seminar and socialization. Based on these problems, this study proposed an interactive seminar management system based on the web that is expected, with the system, participants can ask anything they don't understand about the seminar without any embarrassment. Besides, they also can manage the time of the seminars and socialization in this institution. This system is designed along with Object-Oriented method implemented with Laravel framework in PHP programming language as well as MySQL database. The tryout is done with the approach of black box and white box to get a valid results so that it can be concluded that the system works according to the needs and solve user problems.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has a positive impact on information media such as news. Online news sites have become one of the most trusted source of information for conducting news searches. Finding news information online enables users to search directly in the search column of a news site. Online news has a structure or fields such as title, content, and additional tags. However, this will cause problems if many users searches are following the structure other than the title and content of the news which should have a more appropriate portion. Indonesian news information retrieval system is needed to solve this problem. Using methods that can solve the problem of structured documents. BM25F method is a ranking method that can consider the structure or field in a document. Tests carried out on BM25F free parameters get the best results at boost title = 5, content = 1, bc = 0,75, and k1 = 1,2. And the BM25F ranking test using precision @ k and r-precision in 600 news documents for 12 queries obtained the best average precision @ k = 0,95 when k = 5 and the best r-precision value = 1.

Abstract

Parking is a necessity for the community of vehicle owners. Besides, parking areas are necessary so that vehicle users do not obstruct traffic flow as well as good city spatial rules. Therefore, the need for report information encourages the public to address the problem of parking in Malang. Because the community report to the relevant Transportation Office has not been conveyed properly so that makes the community confused to have to submit an unofficial parking report. With the development of technology, GoTindak application uses geotagging technology that can help users know the location at the time of reporting complaints or criticisms on non-official parking in the Malang city area. This research (GoTindak) utilizes a crowdsourcing feature where non-official parking report information can be directly obtained from other users. The GoTindak app contains details about the location, time, status of the report, description, and proof of photos and images. Also, there are 4 stages of report status that have not been followed up, are processed, completed, and not approved. The technique used in this study is prototyping. Further tests are validation tests, units, usability tests that use SUS (System Usability Scale) as instruments. The result of functional testing is valid status as well as the application running as per the user's needs. Usability testing that produces a value of 80.5 where the value belongs to the category is excellent and successful.

Abstract

Gestational diabetes is a state of high blood sugar levels that occur during pregnancy. The presence of this disease is common and usually occurs in the 24th to 28th week of pregnancy. However, the condition of this high blood sugar level cannot be underestimated because it can cause several complications that can harm both mother and baby. In addition, untreated gestational diabetes can also increase the risk of type 2 diabetes for both mother and baby in the future. The cause of the onset of gestational diabetes is not certain. However, gestational diabetes is a multifactorial disease which the presence can be caused by various factors that play a role in increasing the risk of this disease. Therefore, gestational diabetes becomes difficult to diagnose because doctors need to consider these factors, analyze them, and compare them with previous patients under similar conditions. Eventually, the diagnosis depends on the doctor's interpretation and is prone to human error. A solution that can be applied is by using a classification algorithm that can identify the presence of gestational diabetes. Pima Indians Diabetes Dataset is a dataset that is widely used in some research of diabetes prediction. This dataset has a characteristic of imbalanced data, so that Neighbor Weighted K-Nearest Neighbor (NWKNN) can be applied to the dataset. By deleting data containing missing value and testing the value of K and E of NWKNN, the best results for sensitivity was 0,8125, specificity was 0,8788, and F1 score was 0,7879 were achieved at K = 25 and E = 2. Meanwhile for k-fold cross-validation testing, the NWKNN algorithm was found to be better than K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN). The best results were obtained by 4-fold cross-validation test i.e. sensitivity was 0,6043, specificity was 0,8703, and F1 score was 0,6383.

Abstract

Language Development Unit Universitas Brawijaya or Brawijaya Language Center (BLC)'s course service is one of the services most in demand by many people. The relatively cheap price and the schedule selection by each participant are the main factors why many people choose BLC. The lack in the BLC course service is from an administrative perspective. The course scheduling system is still done manually by the course administration. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research related to course scheduling. In the future, this research can assist BLC in course scheduling. The method that will be used in this research is Genetic Algorithm. In this research, the genetic algorithm process includes initial population formation and chromosome representation, parent selection, crossover and mutation, calculation of fitness values, population replacement selection, and chromosome derepresentation. Based on the test results, the best parameter values are found in the population number 700, Cr 0.5, Mr 0.4, and the number of generations of 900 with a fitness value of 0.98182.
