Abstract

Learning evaluation using multiple choice question paper is widely used because it is more effective at measuring learning outcomes and can cover more subjects. In 2017, there was a research to build multiple choice exam question bank management system at Faculty of Computer Science Brawijaya University. This research helps to reduce the possibility of similar question being proposed by different lecturers. However the research was not able to generate multiple choice question paper. The Course Lecturer Coordinator must select the questions one by one at question bank to generate a question paper. The question paper made by Course Lecturer Coordinator must meet the learning outcomes that have been set at the beginning of semester. Therefore, the question paper must have topics and question difficulty level which corresponds to the learning outcomes. This made it difficult to generate question paper. A web-based randomized multiple choice question paper generation system was developed to resolve this problem. The system development was done with waterfall software development model using object-oriented approach. This system had been tested using unit, integration, and validation testing. White-box testing was used in unit and integration testing, while black-box testing was used in validation testing. All of the tests performed to the system shows valid results.

Abstract

information regarding train travel routes has not been clearly recorded while at the station or leaving the station, this causes passengers to experience confusion to find that information. The application of RFID technology in every station that is passed by the train will get real-time and Web-based information. So that passengers feel more comfortable to have the history of train travel and the leadership of the station can calculate the time of arrival of each train are seen on the website. The RFID tags installed on the locomotive stores the information needed, which is the train ID, destination, previous station, current station, and next station. After identification, the information will be recorded automatically in a database, then the information on the RFID tag will be updated according to the next trip. The information is also used to move the Wessel automatically according to the destination to be addressed. This system applies a Wireless Sensor Node by using NRF24L01 as a communication module. The RFID-RC522 module was chosen because not only can it be used to identify RFID tags, but it can also perform writing modes to block data on the RFID Tag. The interface used consists of a desktop-based interface that is used when wanting to update information on RFID Tags and a web-based interface is used to display information about train travel history in real-time. There are two tests on this system, namely functional testing and performance testing. In functional testing, the base station can communicate with sensor nodes and actuators, sensor nodes can identify and update data on RFID tags, actuators work according to commands given by the base station, then the base station can perform automatic updates to the database. Performance testing is measured by sending delay parameters between nodes in each process. The results of testing when identifying an average delay of 63,875ms, when updating information received an average delay of 44,625ms, and testing on the branching path got an average delay of 21.5ms.

Abstract

Malang City besides being famous as a student city is also famous as a tourism city because of its beautiful nature. So do not be surprised if many immigrants settled in the city of Malang. Hinduism as one of the religions in Malang has a population of 0.16% of the population of Malang City. Hinduism has a place of worship which is usually called a temple. In the city of Malang there are five temples which are places of worship for Hindus. The small spread of temples in the city of Malang causes people to find difficulties in finding the closest temple location, especially for migrants. To overcome these problems, the solution offered is to develop an information and temple search application based on the nearest location in Malang based on Android. This application is expected to be able to inform the location of the closest temple, provide the closest route to the temple, and provide information related to the name and telephone number of the temple's organizer, the piodalan day, and the temple worship schedule. In its development, this application was designed using the Object Oriented Design (OOD) approach and implemented with the Object Oriented Programming (OOP) method. Unit testing of three main application methods yields a valid status. The results of validation testing conducted on five test cases produce valid status. The usability test results on five respondents resulted in an SUS 84 score that was included in an excellent scale.

Abstract

The Office of Library and Archives of Batu City is an agency that has the main task and function of organizing public services in the field of literature and archives in the Batu City area. There are several problems that occur in the business processes that are carried out, especially in library services, such as getting complaints from library visitors, unfulfilled visitor requests and the loss of several collections of reading materials. Due to this, it is necessary to evaluate business processes to find out more about problems and find solutions. The initial step taken was to identify the ongoing business processes using the "Regulation of the Minister of State for the Empowerment of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform Number 19 of 2018 concerning the Preparation of Business Process Map for Government Agencies" as a guide in identifying. Furthermore, modeling business processes using Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN). The next stage is to analyze business processes using Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) to obtain potential problems with the highest RPN value and then formulate a recommended solution. The results of the formulation of recommendations for problem solutions are four types of information systems or IT infrastructure, namely Inventory Information Systems, integrated Online Service Calendar, Mail Information Systems, Digital Signature with IS / IT business benefits that can meet the principles of Responsiveness, Effectiveness and efficiency, Accountability and Transparency in Good governance.

Abstract

The development of online business today makes e-commerce (electronic commerce) evolve into s-commerce (social commerce) as a new paradigm that utilizes social media. Instagram is a Social commerce that aims for users to share photos and videos. Instagram's algorithm now helps businesses increase sales. Salad Nyoo is a company engaged in the sale of food and beverages that use instagram to market products and increase sales. In s-commerce purchases that occur not only planned purchases, but also impulsive purchases. This study aims to find out the influence of S-commerce Browsing, s-commerce Usage Intensity, Advertisement Content, Urge to Buy, and Perceived Enjoyment on Impulse Buying. The model used in this study was the S-O-R (stimulus organism response) model. Data collection techniques using purposive sampling techniques. The respondent characteristics of this study were customers of Salad Nyoo. Data processing of questionnaire results is processed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Model (PLS SEM). The results showed that S-commerce Usage Intensity, Advertisement Content, and Urge to buy influence Impulsive Buying in Salad Nyoo. Although one of the 6 hypotheses tested in this study, there are 3 hypotheses that are rejected, namely S-commerce Browsing against Urge to Buy, Advertisement Content against Urge to Buy and Perceived Enjoyment against Impulsive Buying.

Abstract

E-rapor Direktorat PSMA is a system provided by the Indonesian government to help process the scores of senior high school students. Every national school is required to use this system and due to there is still no structured research to find out how the system is used in school. In this research usability testing will be used to investigate wether the system is usable for teachers of SMAN 1 Tuban. System utility research was also conducted to explore the use of the system in this school and how the system fulfilled the school requirement. The test is conducted using usability testing method based on the three usability aspects as accordance to ISO 9241-11, namely effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction. The data was obtained from task testing, questionnaires, and interviews. The result of each usability aspects is calculated using relations formula to obtain a quantitative assessment, other than that, the testing also resulted in some specific problems with the improvement suggestions given. The utility research is conducted through interview based on the six utility aspects by Kendall & Kendall which consisted of possession, form, time, place, actualization, and goal. The result of utility research is in form of quantitative assessment of the system and some new user needs. The conclusion from this research is users can operate the system well but the system still needs some improvements in some aspects.

Abstract

Emotion is a feeling of a person's feelings that can influence a person's decision to act and behave. The most recognizable and identifiable expressions of a person's emotions are facial expressions. Research related to emotion recognition based facial expressions is relatively new research and its application is comprehensive in various fields such as academia, industry, and government. Emotion recognition requires a classification method capable of recognizing the type of emotion of each facial expression and a feature selection method to select optimal features. Therefore, this study will classify emotions based on facial expressions by implementing the Extreme Learning Machine (ELM) method as a classification method and Genetic Algorithm (GA) to select the most optimal features. Based on implementation and analysis, the average accuracy by the ELM and Genetic Algorithm is 82,87879% with the number of generations = 22, population size = 70, crossover rate = 0,8, mutation rate = 0,2, and the number of hidden neurons = 40. These results were compared with the ELM method without Genetic Algorithm which implies an average accuracy of 72,12121%. The accuracy results obtained from the two methods show that the feature selection using Genetic Algorithm has succeeded in increasing the average accuracy generated by ELM by 10,75758%. Genetic Algorithm is moreover succeeded in selecting features with an average of 63 selected features from a total of 136 features.

Abstract

Wireless Sensor Network has been able to be applied in agriculture to monitor the condition of agricultural land, namely regarding the humidity, pH, and temperature of the soil. However, this monitoring process cannot take pictures on the location because Wireless Sensor Network has the disadvantage of not being able to send large datas. To solve this problem, you can use a large capacity communication module so that more data is sent and also use the compression method for data to reduce the size of data before being sent. The communication module used in this study is 6LoWPAN. 6LoWPAN was chosen because it has advantages in terms of transmission capacity, range and has a low power consumption. There are 2 compression methods used, namely the DCT algorithm which is used to reduce interpixel redundancy and RLE to condense the results of the DCT algorithm so it can be smaller. The results obtained after testing are that the application of the compression method can save image size by around 24% from the size of the original image and reduce the total package sent by about 77% of the original packet. Delivery performance using the compression method has the advantage of sending time but decreases the success rate and increases average delay when sending image data.

Abstract

In the process of student learning at Brawijaya University, every student who is required to undergo one of the courses, namely Field Work Practices (PKL), in some faculties is given the name of the Real Work Lecture (KKN). The purpose in undergoing PKL is to combine hard skills and soft skills obtained during college. This PKL or KKN can also be completed through an achievement track, which is obtained by winning a competition that is suitable for the student's field of learning. In undergoing PKL or KKN, students can choose friends to be a group in undergoing PKL or KKN and Contests. This choice of friends causes several problems for some students, such as the difficulty of finding friends if you don't have many friends, the difficulty of finding friends from different faculties, finding experienced friends, and low pool in friends. Based on these problems, this study aims to build a system that can thrive students to find colleagues in the field of PKL or KKN and competitions. The system's built by using a development method called Waterfall. In the requirements engineering process, there are 52 functional requirements and 1 non-functional requirement. In the design and implementation process, it's being built on the Android operating system using the Kotlin programming language. Laravel framework framework used in building services on this system. In the tests that have been run, all functions are made to run properly with validation testing that gets a valid value of 100% and for compatibility testing, the system that has been created can be run in the Android operating system versions 5.0 to 10.0.

Abstract

Anwar Medika Hospital, Sidoarjo is one of the service agencies in the health sector which has 17 health service polyclinics and 22 disease specialist polyclinics. The total number of patients at Anwar Medika Hospital, Sidoarjo is approximately 15,000 and has 49 doctors. Anwar Medika Hospital, Sidoarjo develops hospital information facilities and has the main feature of booking outpatient queues in a mobile application called Online RSAM (Online Hospital Anwar Medika) which has a function to provide information related to Anwar Medika Hospital services. In its use, several problems were found related to the usability of the application which was tested through usability testing metric effectiveness. Efficiency and satisfaction with the System usability scale (SUS). The first evaluation found 6 problems related to the 5 given task scenarios, the next step was to improve the application interface according to the problems obtained based on the respondent's behavior, interviews and guidelines. The next stage is second evaluation based on the interface recommendations that have been made and then comparing the results of the second evaluation with the first evaluation. The results of the second evaluation based on recommendations for improving the application interface can increase the effectiveness matrix to 100% from the previous 96%, the efficiency metric increased from 0.06 goal / s to 0.08 goal / s and the satisfaction metric increased user satisfaction based on the SUS score of 66. to 79 so that it is in the "acceptable" position in terms of acceptability ranges.
