Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) is a wireless network technology that has changed our world significantly and has become a part of the technology industry which is very important at this time, involving interconnected devices and sharing all types of data with each other that can be controlled using the Internet or other communication media such as Bluetooth. This research utilizes Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) using the ESP32 module because it is suitable to be applied to an IoT-based smart home environment. The first reason is that BLE has advantages over other wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi, ZigBee, and Bluetooth Classic. The advantages possessed by BLE include easy configuration, fast data transmission method, wide signal coverage distance, and does not consume relatively large amounts of power. For network protocols using UPnP which is useful for connecting devices functionally. UPnP's discovery protocol method is Simple Service Discovery Protocol (SSDP), when a device enters the SSDP network, it allows the device to advertise to network control points. The control point or master on the network can scan and receive data from the intended advertising device. By customizing UPnP and BLE using the ESP32 module we can implement a system discovery that is for effectiveness on IoT in a smart home environment. The results obtained in this study are quite good with the success rate of BLE discovery performance of 100% and the processing time to connect between devices with an average of only 4 seconds..

Abstract

Pendaftaran Tanah Sistematis Lengkap (PTSL) is a program launched by the government through the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency which aims to ensure certainty and legal protection of citizens' land ownership. This program involves three parties, the applicants, the committee formed by villagers, and the local Regional Land Office (known as Kantah). PTSL procedure begins by recording the data of PTSL participants by the committee. After that the committee sends the nominative list of participants to the Malang District Land Office by bringing the required documents to be converted into land certificates. However, Malang Regency Land Office is often confronted with the problem of delays in the process of releasing land certificates because the documents collected by the applicant are often incomplete or inappropriate. Based on the problems that have been described, an information system is needed that is able to be an intermediary of the committee and Malang Regency Land Office in coordinating the PTSL application submitted by the applicants. This research applies the waterfall model. In the implementation phase, system applied Model-View-Controller pattern and CodeIgniter framework. The result of implementation phase is tested by applying validation testing and browser compatibility testing. The validation test results show valid results, while for browser compatibility testing there are 5% error issues and system can be run on several browsers.

Abstract

MaksiPlus Utama Indonesia is a distribution company that engaged in fisheries, agriculture, and animal husbandry in Indonesia. The fisheries sector at PT. MaksiPlus Utama Indonesia named Lelenesia has four business processes, including supply, product processing, product sales, and product ordering. While running its business, Lelenesia does not yet have clear and standard business process documentation. There are still obstacles such as the business process carried out in Lelenesia not according to the specified time target. This happened because there were obstacles that hindered the running of business activities in Lelenesia. The expectation of Lelenesia owners is to consider the use and assistance of information systems, business processes can run more efficiently in the future. Based on the problems that have been described, an analysis and improvement is made on the ongoing business processes. The analytical method used is the Business Process Improvement (BPI) conducted from phase 1: Organizing for improvement to phase 3: Streamlining. After get the results of the analysis and evaluation, the next step is to do simulation of business process. The simulation results show that there is a reduction in the total time in the business process that has been repaired, namely, the supply supply process is 169 minutes, the product sales process is 12,846 minutes, and the product ordering process is 1,700 minutes. So it can be concluded that the time needed to run the recommendation business process is more efficient than the current business process in the Catfish Fisheries Business Sector PT. MaksiPlus Utama Indonesia.

Abstract

Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Malang is an educational institution that provides one of the services in the form of information services in the form of information on new student admissions (PPDB). Acceptance of students is an activity carried out at the end of each academic year in order to find students graduating from junior high school to become students at the school. However, the process of accepting new students at MAN 2 Malang is still done manually. Prospective students must come directly to the school to fill out the registration form in the form of printed paper. Besides that, the input and processing of registration data by officers is also by manual typing, and the difficulty of delivering PPDB information to the public. So based on the difficulties and problems that arise, it is necessary to explore the need for research to develop information systems that can overcome problems in the acceptance of new students (PPDB) with a web base at MAN 2 Malang. This study uses the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) waterfall model with its stages. System requirements analysis is carried out by interviewing and observing physical documents on PPDB. The results of interviews and observations were analyzed in order to produce system requirements divided into two actors, namely admin and prospective students. The design of the results of the needs analysis using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) includes use cases, activities, sequences, and class diagrams. The system implementation uses PHP and the Laravel framework as server-side processing that implements MVC. Testing using the black box validation method with 100% valid results. Followed by the UAT test which resulted in 100% of the system being accepted and used by stakeholders.

Abstract

1,084 kWh / capita is the large amount of electricity use in Indonesia in 2019. Efforts to determine electricity consumption and control of electrical equipment require technology with monitoring and control functions on / off of electrical equipment. By implementing a smart home system it can reduce user efforts in carrying out these activities. To carry out monitoring and control activities, a wireless sensor network is needed to connect users and electrical equipment. One of the JSN communication modules is Bluetooth low energy (BLE). Implementation of the system using ESP32 as a server that supports BLE. Data acquisition is carried out by 2 ACS712 sensors and a ZMPT101B sensor. 2 relay modules as switches and the nRF Connect application as a place client. Users use the client application for monitoring and control of electrical equipment. Testing is done to see system performance. In functional testing all system functions can run smoothly. Testing the accuracy of the voltage and current sensors get results with an error value of 1.23% and 22.93% and the second sensor gets an average error percentage of 29.33%. The client server pairing test got an average time of 0.763ms in the distance scenario and 0.704ms in the closed room scenario. The success of the system in testing with a packet delivery ratio parameter of 75% in each scenario. Performance testing with round trip time parameters obtained the smallest RTT value of 0.00728ms at a distance of 5 meters. And RTT in a closed room scenario is obtained with the smallest time at position A of 0.0064ms. The time for data transmission will be longer if the distance between the client and server is getting farther. The maximum system connection distance is 15 meters.

Abstract

With the development of the application technology for searching the Hadith translation text in digital form, it is one of the good learning media to help the Hadith learning process. There have been many types of digital Hadith that have been spread. However, most of the Hadith translation text searches still use keyword-based search technology, which will result in some related Hadith translation texts not being displayed or irrelevant Hadith translation texts being displayed. To solve this problem, this study uses a term weighting algorithm and distance measurement to maximize the search results for the Hadith text. Several stages in this research are the text preprocessing stage which produces terms to represent documents, the term Weighted Inverse Document Frequency (WIDF) weighting method to provide weight values ​​for each term and the Bray-Curtis distance measurement to determine the similarity between the query and the document. In the testing process used 5 different queries and Mean Average Precision (MAP). The results of testing the effect of using term weighting, the term weighting with the best performance is WIDF weighting with a MAP value of 0.71 when the number of documents returned is 5. For the test results of the distance measurement algorithm, the best distance measurement algorithm is Bray-Curtis Distance with a MAP value of 0.71 while in Euclidean the MAP value is 0.2 on the same number of returned documents. Meanwhile, the results of the test evaluation showed that the best variation in the value of n on the number of n documents returned was 5 with a MAP value of 0.632. The greater the n value, the greater the diversity of documents, as a result, the greater the chance for irrelevant documents to be taken which causes the MAP value to decrease.

Abstract

The Center for Study and Disability Services of Universitas Brawijaya, or commonly known as PSLD UB, is an institution at UB that has the function of providing assistance to students who have special needs. In the process of mentoring PSLD UB recruits students. the mentor will receive training on how to provide assistance to students with special needs in the learning process and academic activities within the university. Prospective assistants were given material and practice on the types of disabilities found in UB for two days such as sign language training. However, in practice, potential facilitators do not absorb the material well because the training time tends to be short. Because it is needed a mentoring training application system that has the function as a medium for further training for potential candidates in order to absorb the accompanying training material provided. Then obtained 23 functional needs and 1 non-functional needs and then implemented using the Java programming language with an Android-based platform using the SDLC method that is Waterfall which includes processes consisting of plans (planning), analysis (analysis), design (design), implementation (implementation), testing (testing) and maintenance (maintenance) as well as validation testing that produces a validation rate of 100% and usability testing is done based on the answers of respondents using a Likert scale so as to produce a value of 75.8 so that it falls into the acceptable category.

Abstract

Clash of Clans is a game with a strategy genre created by a world famous game company from Finland and was founded in August 2012. This game was initiated by the game's CEO, Ikka Paananen. At first this game was only released for smartphones, namely iOS only, the following year the Android version was released. There are 5 parts of the UX Curve method that are used as question parameters to game users, namely, General UX, Attractiveness, Ease-of-use, Utility and finally Degree-of-usage. After the process, the categories can be broken down into three categories, namely Improving, Deteriorating, and Stable. The result is 65 Improving category curves, 9 Deteriorating category curves and the last 26 Stable category curves. There are other aspects besides the depiction of curves, respondents are instructed to make reasons for their experience using the application and categorize them into positive reasons and negative reasons. In the General UX aspect, the mean reason is 3.5, the mean attractiveness of the reason is 2.9, the average Ease-of-use reason is 2.9, the average utility reason is 2.7, the Degree-of-use average reason is 3.1. It can be concluded that users of the Clash of Clans game mostly use games in their daily lives as entertainment and gather online and play together. As well as respondents if friends plan to use this game in the future they are enthusiastic about making recommendations for the use of this Clash of Clans game.

Abstract

In learning and teaching practice, a way to assess one's achievement in studies is needed. Method that is usually used is test or exam, which is a scoring method using sets of question and command that needed to be fulfilled. Medium for examination keeps evolving, from paper (CBT), computer (CBT), and mobile based (MBA). Computerized examination makes the exam itself doesn't need to be held in one place by using online examination method. Online examination uses multiple choice method to make exam scoring easier, but it's also more vulnerable to cheating attempt than essay. Due to the large number of mobile device users with the Android operating system and its capabilities that have many sensors, the author offers a solution, namely an Android-based context aware online exam application. Application uses light sensor, gyroscope sensor, microphone, and GPS to get light intensity data, sound decibels, device orientation, and user's location to detect cheating attempt. Application tested using black box, compatibility testing, and usability testing. The result of black box testing is 100% valid, result of compatibility testing is 100% for Android 7.0 until 10.0, and the result of usability testing score is 70.5 which is categorized as acceptable.

Abstract

Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS) is an information system used by RSI UNISMA Malang purposed to handle management process related to data and information of hospital services. This system is used to handle registration, nursing, pharmacy, medical records, laboratories, and finance. However, there are problems in implementing SIMRS which are able to decrease hospital service quality. This research purposes to evaluate SIMRS for knowing and describing system condition by using Human, Organization, and Technology (HOT-Fit) Model Framework. Data collecting was carried out using questionnaires methods by spreading the questionnaires to 100 respondents and also qualitative method by interviewing selected respondents. The research result showed that this information system has good quality since the organization supported its implementation. Based on the three aspects of HOT-Fit, aspect of technology gained the lowest value of all. There is conformity relationship among those three components, but there is still a nonconformity that needs improvement.
