Abstract

Abstract Information technology which is increasingly sophisticated certainly brings a lot of convenience to humans. So that technology is widely applied in various fields. One of them is in the field of education. Both formal and non-formal education requires a computerized system to support academic activities to be more effective and efficient. The purpose of making this system is to overcome the problems that exist in the previous system which was considered inefficient so that a website-based academic information system was created at the Minhajurrosyidin Gresik Islamic boarding school. With the existence of this academic information system it is able to provide facilities for teachers / administrators in processing and storing data in Islamic boarding schools so that they become more effective and efficient. This academic information system covers student data, teacher / teacher data, and student assessment and SMS Gateway. Making information systems using the help of the Laravel framework, using the PHP JavaScript programming language, and CSS in making system interfaces and for storing data used MariaDB software.

Abstract

High number of vehicles indirectly increases the high number of deaths due to traffic accidents. One of the factors causing traffic accidents is drowsy while driving. When drowsy, the driver's attention to the road becomes less and it also reduces his responsiveness. Another factor that causes accidents is driving distraction. Similar to drowsiness, driver distraction results in less attention of the rider on the road. Based on these problems, a drowsiness detection and driving distraction free application was developed with Android-based activity recognition. This application makes use of the camera on an Android device as well as a motion sensor to detect driving activity. The camera will record the blink duration of driver's eyes to determine whether the driver is drowsy or not, which the camera will only be active while driving and simultaneously all device notifications will be turned off. From the results of black box testing, the application has a validity level of 100% for all of its functions. Then from the accuracy test results, the accuracy of drowsiness detection is 85% during the day and 65% at night. The decrease in accuracy is caused by the difference in light intensity during the day and night. Then the usability test of five respondents obtained a score of 71 which was included in the acceptable group. From the results of compatibility testing, it states that the application can run on the target API level 23 to 30.

Abstract

Universitas Brawijaya has a website-based application system, namely Sistem Informasi Akademik Mahasiswa Universitas Brawijaya (SIAM UB). SIAM UB serves to fulfill academic and financial services for students of Brawijaya University. In this study aims to produce user experience evaluation documentation in SAP students Faculty of Computer Science during the use of SIAM UB by being evaluated using UX Curve whose assessment is combined with the construction of the UTAUT (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology) model. There are 3 aspects of assessment from the UTAUT model as a reference for evaluation in this study, including performance expectancy, effort expectancy and facilitating condition. The number of respondents in this study amounted to 10 SAP students of the Faculty of Computer Science and produced 30 curves along with 189 descriptions of reasons for the curve change. The results from the analysis showed that the aspect of performance expectancy is the aspect that most affects the user experience, which has the highest number of improving curves with 8 curves along with a description of the reason for the curve change which is divided into 55 positive comments and 43 negative comments. Overall, analysis of the results from evaluation for user experience at SIAM UB using UX Curve produces a good impression where it is in line with the average curve of every aspect that is improving the user experience.

Abstract

The flexibility of learning activities is one of the needs for students and educators in the era of technology that has been growing rapidly. Mobile-based independent learning is expected to support learning activities in lectures intended for students studying at the Information Systems Department of the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Brawijaya. There is no adequate platform for online learning. Therefore, new solutions and innovations are needed for making online learning applications using the MOOC concept. The design of user experience that is carried out also has elements of improved gamification in order to provide user experience that can increase student motivation. The addition of the gamification element must begin with the identification of the user profile using the Octalysis Framework. The design will be made in the form of high-fidelity prototypes using the Human-centered Design (HCD) method. The results of the evaluation using Techniques for Evaluating User Experience in e-Learning (TUXEL) yielded 13 problems on Usability Inspection in the Login, General Interface, and Assignment categories. In Pedagogical Usability found 8 problems in the category of Help & Documentation, LMS Learnability, Learning Through The LMS, and LMS Flexibility. The User Experience Evaluation shows positive values ​​in the attractiveness, dependability, efficiency, novelty, stimulation, and normal values ​​in the perspicuity dimension.

Abstract

Companies engaged in distribution utilize warehouses as temporary storage places for goods. The use of warehouses certainly has several procedures that must be applied so that goods are managed properly. In the practice of warehouse management, there are several processes that are carried out before the goods are distributed to customers. Based on interviews and observations that have been made, CV Sidodadi Textile experienced several main obstacles, including recording incoming and outgoing goods manually, causing difficulty in managing documents and archives of incoming and outgoing goods. From the problems that exist in the CV Sidodadi Textile, this research offers a solution by developing a mobile web-based fabric warehouse management application that is used for recording data such as incoming goods, outgoing goods, stock of goods, and the position of placing goods which was developed using the waterfall model. This study found 20 functional requirements, 2 non-functional requirements, and 5 actors. This application was developed using the laravel framework. The results of the tests that have been carried out on the mobile web application are validation testing getting the results of the predicate 100% passed, compatibility testing getting the results that the application can run on both iOS and Android mobile browsers, and usability testing getting results with excellent predicates on every aspect of the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ).

Abstract

One type of land transportation vehicle that is widely used by people is the bus. One of the transportation service providers using buses is PT. Pahala Kencana. The company has several branches of which are located in the city of Malang. Every bus will certainly be treated and maintained in order to maintain quality and safety. The process of bus maintenance and maintenance includes checking submissions and bus parts management. There are several problems including bus crews who want to file a bus check must wait until the bus arrives. The next problem is that when a mechanic submits a bus spare part, the officer cannot see the progress of the bus parts submission while the last problem is that the logistical officer has difficulty recapitulating data and making reports because all processes are carried out manually and has the potential to result in recording errors. To overcome this, a system was created to assist production division officers. This system was developed on a web basis. The process of developing this system uses SDLC waterfall. In the research conducted, 41 functional needs were obtained, 1 non-functional requirements were also obtained, and five types of actors were produced. System implemented using Laravel Framework. The unit test results get 100% results, then integration testing it gets 100% results, then the validation testing it gets 100% results and finally the compatibility test shows that there are no problems when run on different browsers.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic that has occurred since the beginning of 2020 has had a major impact on various aspects, one of which is in the education sector. Teaching and learning activities that are usually carried out face-to-face in class are currently carried out using distance learning methods. The Department of Information Technology, State Polytechnic of Malang, as a part of the higher education institution, has also carried out a transformation through the implementation of online lectures using online learning media, namely LMS Polinema. The use of LMS Polinema gets various responses from users. This research then aims to document how long-term user experience is and how the acceptance and use of online learning media during the COVID-19 pandemic using the UX Curve method combined with the viewpoints of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model. Respondents who became the object of research were 10 students of the Department of Information Technology, State Polytechnic of Malang, aged 19-22 years. There were 4 aspects evaluated, namely Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, and Facilitating Conditions. The results of the analysis show that the average curve on the Performance Expectancy aspect has the most significant improving. In addition, the Performance Expectancy aspect is the aspect that most influences the user experience which has the highest number of respondents' comments for 80 reasons, consisting of 43 positive reasons and 37 negative reasons.
