Abstract

Communication protocol on OSI Layer standardization, divided into several layers among them is data link layer. This layer divided into sub layers, one of which is MAC (Medium Access Control) used to transmit signals owned by nodes connected to the network without any conflict. Zigbee is one of the standardized communication protocols on the MAC sub layer that are known to be reliable and low power. With zigbee, the researcher has the idea of ​​analyzing the power consumption level when this protocols are communicates. The communication system between the nodes was tested using xbee s-1 with arduino uno as microcontroller, and because xbee s-1 low power researchers gave solar cells as resources. Solar cells are used because they have self charging capabilities. System testing includes, changes in environmental conditions when nodes communicate. The last step in this research is to analyze the result data from the test to conclude the result of the research. The result of this research is zigbee communication using solar cell resources can be used in areas where the air temperature is stable and there are heat sources. The power of calor can provide arduino microcontroller power and xbee s-1 module to be used in communicating. Changes in working environment in the form of distance, delivery of packets, temperature, and time intervals applied by researchers can affect the level of power consumption. Researchers recommend environmental conditions that are used so that the system can be run optimally. The use of the zigbee protocol would be optimal if used at a distance of 60-70 m, data transmission by 60 - 80 bytes, temperatures at <30 and> 20 ° celcius, and time intervals 25-35 seconds.

Abstract

Population increase occured in various regions of Indonesia, one of them is Malang City.With the increasing number of residents and immigrants of Malang City, then the public transportation is needed for the smoothness of their activities. Based on facts, media information for the pople of Malang City about public transportation routes is very needed. Currently, municipal government of Malang City is provides public transportation routes information on MediaCenter website. However, the information which provided is just a list of public transportation routes. So based the functional features, that information is not good enough to ease the user problem. Therefore, we need a mobile based application which built to facilitate residents and visitors of Malang City in choosing public transportation from the depature location to destination location. System was bulit using the haversine formula and best-path planning algorithm (hub-based planning). This system provides 2 starting points as an alternative to informing users that from the same depature site there are 2 starting points to get public transportation. The system scored 87% of accuracy testing on route search results. In usability testing, system earns 83% learnability, 62% efficiency, 91% memorability, 90% errors, and 88,5% statisfaction.

Abstract

The difference in the speed of an electric motor can produce an unsuitable output. The use of two electric motors with different speeds to move the wheels of a smart wheelchair or a robot car causes the device to move in the direction that is not intended. Based on these problems, it needs a wireless RPM monitoring system in order to know the speed difference between the two motors or both wheels with ease. This study focuses on knowing the RPM of both wheels smart wheelchair by using incremental encoder. 2 Optocoupler Sensors and 2 encoder disks with 20holes is implemented in the smart wheelchair to know the RPM value of each wheel. The Optocoupler sensor is used to detect how many holes are detected in 1sec, so the RPM of the motor or wheel can be known. Based 50 tests ​​of the Optocoupler Sensor on the right side of the prototype obtained an average percent error of 0.92% and the left side obtained 0.87%. Based on 10 tests of Sensor Optocoupler on the right side on smart wheelchair obtained an average percent error of 2.00% and left side obtained 2.06%. The connection status of NodeMCU WiFi when connected to a laptop at a distance of 10-50meter is connected and the connection status at a distance of 60-70meter is disconnected.

Abstract

Website dictio is a community to share, learn, discuss intelligently, critically, and courteously through online media. Based on the interviews to stakeholders of dictio parties, it is found that dictio website has a problem, which is the use of features contained in the website dictio like the use of language. The purpose of this usability testing is to measure the quality level of the website and it can be a material improvement proposal for dictio developer team. Data collection used in this research is by using questionnaires, giving test assignments, and conducting interviews after testing dictio website. From the test results, it can be obtained that the usability value of the Effectiveness criteria is 78%, then 75% for usability level value of Usefulness, 31% for usability level value of Satisfaction, and then 75% for usability level value of Efficiency. In the use of language in dictio website, the result of the interview showed that partisipants prefer using two languages, namely Indonesian and English, and for like lending features, partisipants prefer using thumb up. Hereafter, we suggest improving usability criteria in each category. There are two recommendations improvement for usability criteria value of Effectiveness, one recommendation improvement for usability criteria value of Usefulness, five recommendations improvement for usability criteria level of Satisfaction, and last two recommendations improvement for usability criteria Efficiency.

Abstract

Electrical energy is something very important to sustain human life. The availability of electrical energy and the growth of power plants is a two think that must be considered by every human. Based on these problems, there is an effort to prevent the occurrence of electrical energy crisis in the future, one of the efforts is to design the electricity saving on the house. Researchers use the finite state machine method with Arduino Uno as a hardware control and labview as a program design and implementation software. In this research, there is 6 features that are (1) Detect human existence by using PIR sensor. (2) automatically set room light. (3) Automatic water pump. (4) automatically set room temperature (5) Calculate and limit the use of electricity per day by limiting electricity consumption. (6) Sending notices for email and turn off the AC when electricity usage has reached the expenditure limit per day. The testing process on 6 features has been done, and the results obtained in accordance with the work function of each feature.

Abstract

Milk is a food of livestock that has a complete and balanced nutrition where its protein nutrition is higher than vegetable protein. The consumption of milk and its products play a role in improving the quality of human resources in Indonesia that is still low. Therefore, the role of milk manufacture industry in Indonesia is very important in terms of providing and sufficient nutrition needs of the people. One of the milk manufacture industry is dairy cooperatives of SAE Pujon, Malang. In order to be able to play a role well, the production rates of fresh milk in dairy cooperatives of SAE Pujon is important things that need to be optimized. Improper production rates will result in losses, such as loss in the form of material or loss of consumers. Based on these problems, it takes support vector regression method optimized with ant colony optimization that is implemented into a system. Optimization is done to determine the most optimal SVR parameter. The optimized SVR parameter are (sigma), C (complexity), (epsilon), cLR (learning rate constants) and (lambda). Range of ACO parameter values to obtain optimal SVR parameter value is q0 = 0,5-1, α = 0,01-0,04, = 0,01-0,04, ρ = 0,001-0,004, δ = 0,001-0.004. The milk production rates forecasting in dairy cooperatives of SAE Pujon from January until December 2016 by using SVR-ACO resulted MAPE value of 3,30425%.

Abstract

The method of conventional robotic arm motion is by forward kinematic, which moves by determining the time of deviation of each joint to reach a point. Unlike the forward kinematic, inverse kinematics move by determining the angle required to perform a motion. Forward kinematics is considered as method that utilizes trial and error, this method become less effective because it takes a long time. Meanwhile, inverse kinematic offers more practical solution with more complex computing calculations. With the development of microcontroller complexity on calculation inverse kinematic can be done more quickly by using parallel computing that can take advantage of all the existing cores on the microcontroller. openMP is a C ++ program directory that describes the use of application program interfaces to perform parallel computations in multiple memory environments. openMP becomes one of the programs that can be utilized to perform parallel computing. The result is, openMP able to divide the program so that the Squential program imposes its process on core 1 (30.74%). But in the parallel program the process load fairly even distributed, although it looks more burdensome to core 2 (30,7%) and 3 (20,38%). Accuracy calculation results from both methods are same, both have same nois and error that is equal to 0.4 cm from x axis, 1.5 cm from y axis and 1.06 cm from z axis. In addition, the error also occurs at the servo angle, where the average error in 1st servo is 1o, at the 2nd servo is 1.24o, and at the 3rd servo is 4.1o. When compared to speed, the parallel method performs all tasks faster than squential by 20 seconds (36.4% of the sequential time) for 4 servos and 10 seconds (22.2% of the squared time) for 3 servos.

Abstract

Laboratory is a means to conduct the process of practicum at a university. The purpose of a practicum is held so that students can directly implement the material obtained at the time the lectures take place in the classroom. However, when practicum there are students who are difficult to perform the installation of practical purposes, it is caused by the uniformity of configuration requirement of practicum between lecturer and student. To overcome these problems it takes a virtual laboratory to do a practicum. This virtual laboratory serves as a lab that can be accessed virtually on each student device. In this study used the docker engine as a virtualization software provider. Practicum used as virtualization is a computer network practice module that each chapter will be used as an image using docker. Furthermore, to run the lab can be through the container provided by the docker. Docker is chosen because the use of memory, processor and storage are more efficient. Tests conducted in this study is a test of computer performance, which is seen from memory usage and CPU usage. the test performed resulted in the use of memory of 1.21MB and 0.7% of CPU usage on packet capturing practice, 6.77MB and 0.6% CPU usage on socket programming practice, 2.30MB and 2.93% CPU usage on protocol layer transport pratice.

Abstract

Scenario parking system that exist in Brawijaya University is when vehicle will come out of parking area hence parking gate will do checking by asking letter of vehicle number (STNK). Sometimes vehicle owners forget to take vehicle registration. Brawijaya University authority provides ease by giving out campus dispensation letter as a substitute for vehicle registration obtained from Command Headquarter of Brawijaya University. There are some disadvantages of using the manual system which is the inaccurate verification of the dispenser in the Command Headquarters to ensure the applicant is the owner of a valid vehicle or not. In addition, the campus residents can entrust the goods in the campus area to the officers of the security guard. The Security Guard at Brawijaya University's Command Headquarters followed up with the announcement of the findings of lost items through social media. In fact publication of lost items through social media is less effective. From both of these problems the authors provide solutions by developing the system dispensasi vehicle out campus web based. These system requirements are derived from the requirements analysis results. In designing this system contains sequence diagrams, class diagrams, data base design and interface design. In the implementation of this system using Codeigniter framework and tailored to the design of the system created. From the results of validation and compatibility testing, indicating that this system has been running in accordance with the requirements specified.

Abstract

Lembaga Penjaminan Mutu Pendidikan (LPMP) of Southeast Sulawesi is a technical implementation unit with the task of undertaking quality assurance of primary and secondary education in the province. To carry out these tasks LPMP Southeast Sulawesi conduct training activities which in its implementation get some problems. The first problem is the registration process is done manually so that the pile of queues of prospective participants. The second problem, the data processing is done centrally so it takes additional time to perform data processing. Third problem, the dissemination of information done manually so as to affect the performance of the committee. The fourth problem is the submission of participant certificates that are often lost or tampered. Based on these problems, the solution is to develop a management information system developed using throw-away prototype method. Throw-away prototype method is chosen because by using the method can understand the needs of users in the early stages thereby reducing the risk of system failure. The results of this study, obtained 1 iteration that produces 34 functional requirements, and 1 non-functional needs. Based on the results of validation testing found that all functions can run well with valid status results. Based on the results of compatibility testing found that in the Safari browser version 11 and below, Opera version 47, Google Chrome version 61 and IOS System version 11 and below no problems found. Based on UAT test results, it is found that all tested functions can be accepted by the user.
