Abstract

The background of the problem held by this research is to find out the implementation of attitude assessment applied in schools. The attitude or affective aspect is an important part of the learning process, but many schools only focus on cognitive aspects. A good attitude must be instilled in every student and there is on need to think about it because it is absorbed in his daily behvior. This study aims to determine whether attitude assessment has been applied to the maximum in learning and the apllication of attitude assessment techniques in learning. The research method is a qualitative field research with a descriptive approach. Obtained from observations, interviews and documentation. Interviews were conducted with PAI’s teachers to find out whether the attitude assessment had been applied ti the maximum or not, observations were modw to find out the activities of teachers in assessing student’s attitudes in learning, and documentation was used to take an attitude assessment and photo form that could strengthen the evidence of the findings from interviews and observations. The results of this study indicate that the assessment of attitude has been apllied in learning, it is proven that students always try to be better with the prefix that only wants to get value but this change is implemented continuously so that it becomes a habit in everyday life.

Abstract

Moral setbacks that occur in adolescent level students experience a significant increase, not infrequently these events occur in the world of education in Indonesia. Strengthening character education is one way to reduce the effects of moral loss on students. So that the character values must be built in accordance with religious teachings and which have been determined by the government such as religiosity, mutual cooperation, independence, national and integrity. These values can be included in school programs through the integration of intraculicular, kokulikuler and extracurricular integration. In this study focuses on strengthening the existing character education in SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Park by including character habituation through local content learning, extracurricular activities and habituation activities. So it can be ensured that all student activities are based on strengthening character education. This study uses descriptive-qualitative research which results of the research are a translation of the sources obtained in the form of written and oral data and environmental observations.

Abstract

Principal's leadership is a model of leadership that is implemented based on certain situations and conditions in influencing, directing and improving the performance of his subordinates by strengthening enthusiasm and motivation and rewards. This research aims to study the principal’s strategy in improving teacher and employee discipline. This study uses a descriptive-qualitative method with the subject of the research as head, curriculum waka and the teacher council. Data is collected by interview, observation and documentation. The results showed that the efforts of principals in improving teacher and employee discipline had been carried out correctly, effectively, efficiently so as to improve the discipline of teachers and employees.

Abstract

The purpose of this Classroom Action Research (CAR) was carried out with the aim to find out the increase in social studies learning achievements of ASEAN material through the application of cooperative learning methods to class VI SDN Jatiasih Bekasi students in 2018/2019. This Classroom Action Research was carried out by applying the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model in order improve the quality of the learning process and is a concept of learning activities that help teachers in carrying out mathematics learning activities on fractions taught by trying to maximize the active role of students, especially the knowledge they have and how they are applied in everyday life. With this concept, learning outcomes are expected to be more meaningful for students. The learning process takes place naturally in the form of activities students work and experience, not transfer knowledge from teacher to student. The quality of learning is more important than learning outcomes. Classroom Action Research (CAR) is carried out in stages 2 cycles, and the results of the actions taken have been proven to be able to improve student learning outcomes / achievements in terms of classical student mastery learning in the first cycle of 53%, could increase to 74.5% in the second cycle and in terms of the average value of the evaluation results of 74.5 in the second cycle of 79.2, this means there is an increase of 22%. From the results of this class action research also showed an increase in the level of student learning activities from 3 categories Active Enough in the first cycle to 3.5 Active categories, Active categories in the second cycle to 3.8 categories Very Active means there was an increase of 28.5%.

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the Principal's leadership management strategy in improving the Performance of Educators and Education Personnel. The Headmaster Leadership management strategy is one of the keys to success for improving the quality of performance of educators and education personnel. Increasing the quality of the performance of educators and education personnel will have a significant impact on the educational process and the achievement of desired educational goals. This paper uses a descriptive qualitative approach that seeks to describe the form of leadership management strategies for school principals in order to improve the quality of educational performance and education personnel. The results of this study indicate that (1) the Principal's management strategy has a very important role in improving the performance of educators and education personnel. (2) the quality of the performance of educators and education personnel has an impact on improving the quality of learning and achieving educational goals to the fullest.

Abstract

The issue of learning achievement for students needs to be an important discussion because it can affect the education of a nation. Among the causes of low student achievement is motivation. All parties involved in education should contribute to solving the problem. This article aims to explore McClelland's motivational theory and actualize it in Islamic education (PAI) learning. The approach used is a qualitative approach by conducting literature studies or library research in accordance with the theme of the main topic. The analysis used is discourse analysis to examine the value or message contained in a text, especially about McClelland's achievement motivation theory and PAI learning. The results of this study indicate that PAI learning should contain McClelland's motivation regarding achievement motivation, power motivation, and affiliation motivation to support the interests of students. This is also supported by the argument from the Qur'an and the Hadith.

Abstract

Curriculum development is an important thing to do. In Indonesia, there have been ten curriculum changes that have started from the 1947 Curriculum to the present, the 2013 Curriculum. In fact, the curriculum changes show that the principles of education must be able to adjust the development of the times without leaving the cultural values of the relevant community. The purpose of this research is to find out the principles in curriculum development. This research uses library research method. The results of this study indicate that curriculum development resources, including; empirical data, experimental data, folklore and general public knowledge. The principles in curriculum development are divided into two things: 1. General Principles, which include; the principle of relevance, the principle of flexibility, the principle of continuity, the practical principle, and the principle of effectiveness, 2. Special Principles, which include; principles for determining educational objectives, principles for selecting educational content, principles for selecting teaching and learning processes, principles for selecting media and teaching tools, and principles relating to assessment.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the students’ problem solving skill to solve problem in Archimedes principle on the senior high school level. The method of this study was mixed method with explanatory follow up explanation design. The subject of this study was 30 students of k-11 in SMAN 9 Malang. The kuantitative data was collected through survey by 2 essay questions with reliability cronbah alpha 0,70. The qualitative data was collected through interview after analyze student answare. The aim of this interview was to follow up the pattern of student answare. The result of this study shown that students’ expert attitude began solve problem through definite problem qualitatively. In addition, the students’ novice attitude refer to not describe a problem qualitatively.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the initial problem of the still low student learning outcomes in Islamic religious education subjects. The data analysis technique of this study used a regression analysis method. This type of research is quantitative by using the Quasy Experiment method and uses the Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design. Based on the results of the study, the effect of the application of the discovery learning model to student learning outcomes shows that the tcount is greater than ttable both at the 5% significance level or the 1% significance level (2,000 <3,119> 2,660) this means that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, while the effect of giving Teacher motivation towards student learning outcomes shows that tcount is greater than ttable both at the significance level of 5% and the significant level of 1% (2,000 <4,090> 2,660). Motivation by the teacher together on student learning outcomes results are greater than t table both at the 5% significance level and 1% significance level (2,000 <3,191> 2,660) this means that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected.

Abstract

This study aims to find the effect of emotional and spiritual intelligence on the morals of students in junior high schools in Bangkinang City District. The purpose of this study are three, namely: 1. To determine the effect of emotional intelligence on the morals of students in the First Middle School in Bangkinang District. To find out the effect of spiritual intelligence on students' behavior in the First Middle School in Bangkinang City District. 3. To find out the significant influence between emotional and spiritual intelligence on the morals of students at the First Middle School in Bangkinang Kota sub-district. This research is a correlational research with a quantitative approach. The population of this study was 2205 students. Research samples were 399 students. Sampling using Slovin formula with an error rate of 5%, sampling technique using Stratified Random Sampling. Data collection techniques in this study using a questionnaire and data analysis techniques using multiple regression. From the results of the study obtained that there is an influence between emotional intelligence on student morals with a Significant value of 0,000 <0.05. There is an influence between spiritual intelligence on student morals with a Significant value of 0,000 <0.05. Then there is a significant influence of Emotional and Spiritual Intelligence on the Morals of Students in Junior High Schools in Bangkinang City District with a Significant value of 0,000 <0.05.
