Abstract

Children in a family environment that is less harmonious, the most important thing the child expresses is feelings of anger or sadness when someone asks it and this will affect the social to others. Therefore it is necessary to have an environment that is able to direct the child's social emotional direction in a positive direction. the family environment is very influential on the child's social emotional, when the child is in the family environment such as conflicts between families, lack of communication in the family, and so on actually the child's emotional emotional needs are not met. So the focus of problem is how elementary age children must have a good social emotional that is by providing a good environment as well as parenting parents themselves. For this reason the approach used is a qualitative approach with the method of field study with the data collection technique is interview. According to data in the field that the social emotional development of children who are socially emotionally good are parents giving examples, advice and examples from their own environment that show the goodness of kindness. And give examples of examples in daily life such as greeting, being honest and not distinguishing friends. So that children's emotions can be controlled well because they are always careful and not selfish, which later gives birth to good social towards parents, siblings and even peer friends.

Abstract

With the learning strategy, students are expected to be easier in the reply taught by the teacher. Because in the curriculum 2013 students are required to be more active, creative, innovative teachers only as facilitators in the process of learning to teach. The objective of the learning strategy is to align the basic ability of children optimally where teachers emphasize the activities and creativity and character of children so that the learning process or learning is more quality. This article aims to analyse the relevance of the learning strategy with the characteristics of the MI/SD staple in the class IV thematic Book 1 sub theme 1. The method of research used is quality that is descriptive. The data sources in this study use primary data sources in the form of thematic books (book Teachers and book students) class IV SD/MI Theme 1 sub theme 1. The method used is library Research. The result of this research is to know the relevance of the learning strategy with the main material MI/SD in theme Book Class IV thematic 1 sub Theme 1.

Abstract

This research was aimed to know how comic strip can improve students’ motivation and reading comprehension at MA. Raudlatusshibyan NW Belencong in academic year 2017/2018. The research design was classroom action research. It consists of one cycle, and the cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data were collected by using reading tests and questionnaire. The result study shown that comic strip improved students’ motivation and reading comprehension. The percentage of students that got very high motivation after using Comic Strip in learning reading is 55% and 45% got high motivation. The result of the mean in post-test at cycle 1 is 77,9 while the students’ highest score was 88 and the lowest score was 52. The result of the test shown the abilities of the students were improved. There were 17 students or 85% out of the 20 students who reached the score of KKM while the rest of them there were 3 students or 15% failed. It is indicated the improvement of student’s reading comprehension and their motivation of English learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the conceptual understanding of prospective elementary school teacher students on the concept of geometrical space which includes the relationship between lines and planes as well as lines and lines in geometrical space using Android games. The Android game used was XSection. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample in this study was taken using a cluster random sampling technique and obtained class 3C as an experimental class, namely the class that learns using Android-based educational games and 3D class as the control class, namely the class that learns without using Android-based educational games. Data regarding conceptual understanding were obtained by the multiple-choice tests and data were analyzed using independent sample t-test and normalized gain test. The results showed that the experimental class showed a significant increase in understanding the concept of geometrical space compared to the control class. The post-test average score of students' conceptual understanding in the experimental class was higher than the control class so that the Android-based education game was effective in improving students' understanding of the concept of geometrical space for prospective elementary school teachers.

Abstract

This study was aimed to find out whether or not there was a significant difference between male and female students’ ability in answering factual and vocabulary-in-context questions of the TOEFL-Like reading comprehension test. Secondary data analysis was utilized by taking reading comprehension test scores of twenty-one male and twenty-one female students of the English Education Program. Samples were selected using random sampling technique. Data were analyzed using independent sample t-test. Results showed that the t-values of sig. 2-tailed was higher than 0.05 in male and female students’ ability in answering both the factual questions (0.267 > 0.05) and the vocabulary-in-context questions (0.837 > 0.05). The results revealed that there was no significant difference between male and female students’ ability in answering factual and vocabulary-in-context questions of the TOEFL-Like reading comprehension test.

Abstract

The covid-19 pandemic era forced teachers and educators to apply learning by applying online models. Many platforms are offered to facilitate learning, of course it confuses what application is suitable to use so that learning continues to run well even with the online system. So the purpose of this study is (1) to know the understanding and interest of students after learning by using online media platform, (2) to know the effectiveness of the platform that is often used during emergencies Covid-19, (3) able to implement a suitable platform for learning during pandemic Covid-19. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. where in research the data obtained is then interpreted by the researcher. Based on the results obtained that the use of WAG as a single medium in learning is less effective, while the use of the classroom can be said to be effective because it is applied to students become more active in learning while the google meet application provides effective results in learning because learners are able to directly understand the material brought but has some constraints faced especially in signals and quotas. So it is necessary to use a combination of teleconference applications such as google meet and applications such as WAG / Classroom as a discussion container

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools basically have a distinctive soul and philosophy. This spirit and philosophy guarantees the existence of the pesantren, and even becomes the driving force in educating students and maintaining the continuity of the institution towards progress in the future. The pesantren has five souls or it can be called five souls, namely sincerity, simplicity, independence, ukhuwah / brotherhood, and freedom in determining the field of struggle. As an educational institution, Islamic boarding schools have a big role as a fortress to defend the nation's moral values. However, the decline in moral and ethical values will affect the integrity of the nation and state. Therefore, the government has determined character education as a content that must be present at every level of education, including in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

Formal Education Institutions that directly print productive age cadres are vocational madrasahs (MAK) and vocational high schools (SMK). The history and origins of MAK and SMK, that MAK is more oriented to religious education based on skills or skills as a means of living in the world. Whereas Vocational Schools almost certainly emphasize skills and skills. The contents of MAK's subjects are 70% religious subjects, 70% vocational subjects. Of the two MAK and SMK alumni who tend to study Islamic economics or courses in Islamic economics majors is MAK. Then MAK and SMK, if viewed from Islamic economic principles that are more directed at strengthening religious teachings, so that they can be practiced and applied in the world of work, according to the author MAK is more relevant and more profitable, both in the world and the hereafter. Abstract

The current era, with fertile technology that is increasingly developing, certainly has positive and negative sides. One of the phenomena that shows the negative side of development technologies such as Youtube, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook is that many cildren use media gadgets as playmates, so that the child is not controlled is choosing content that is popular in cyberspace, as a reseult the child will further away from values religion, humanitarian values, values justice and moral values. In this article, the researcher describes the prevention of moral decadence for the younger generation, so it is necessary to increase the role of education, especially the role of parents in selecting entertaiment content that contains moral values for children. These efforts are made to prepare the next generation who have knowledge, faith and good character. The writing of this article uses qualitative research with descriptive analysis. The writer in this article uses Roland Barthes’ semiotic analysis model known as “two order of signification”, namely by looking for the denotative meaning the connotation of each scene. From using this method the researcher foumd that the animated film Nussa and Rarra, the episode of prayer must contain values from the concept of Islamic teachings, namely Akidah, Sharia and Moral. If parents are able to nurture and guide by choosing content that educated and implements in life, it is hoped that the child will become a person with character according to the expectation of the nation and religion. Abstract

Conflicts with ethnic and religious nuances is partly due to the lack of insight into the understanding of cultural diversity. Responding to this situation, Islamic Religious Education is important to develop the multicultural perspective so that the reality of a multicultural society can be accommodated in it. This study used a qualitative approach with the type of case study, with the research location at SMA Kertajaya Surabaya. The informants of this study were the principal and Islamic education teachers, using the method of collecting data through interviews, observation and documentation study. The data that has been obtained are analyzed, interpreted and interpreted qualitatively descriptive. The findings obtained that the formulation of the PAI curriculum that applied was flexible and based on an analysis of the situation faced by the community. The PAI design that is applied considers the multicultural aspects that exist in society by paying attention to the situation of students, and the teachers who carry out learning activities. The strategy used is to include multicultural values such as a sense of justice, love and compassion, mutual respect between teachers and students, between school institutions and elements to the society.
