Abstract

This PKM activity is aimed at Catholic Women in Airmadidi, North Minahasa Regency. In the initial survey, the target community expects knowledge and skills about making organic fertilizers. Because it coincided with the pandemic, the implementation of PKM activities was carried out through the zoom application with the delivery of material by resource persons about the benefits of using organic fertilizers and the potential of existing resources around/around the environment that can be used as a source of organic fertilizer. After that, through a video, they demonstrated how to make organic fertilizer by utilizing existing resources. This training on making organic fertilizers needs to be followed up with mentoring activities during manufacture to further refine and maximize the results of the activities. In addition to household waste, various other biological sources can also be tried as a source of organic fertilizer. The community needs to get higher motivation so that they want to continue to make and produce and utilize organic fertilizers by utilizing the biological resources that exist around them

Abstract

Caisim (Brassica chinensis var. Parachinensis) is a type of vegetable that is in great demand by the public, because it contains many nutrients that humans need. Using chicken manure on caisim plants to provide nutrients for plant survival and growth. This research aims to see and determine the growth response of caisim plants (Brassica chinensis var. Parachinensis) by administering varying doses of chicken manure. This research was carried out in Sea Village, Pineleng District, Minahasa North Sulawesi from January to February 2023.This research used a completely randomized design (CRD) method with varying doses of chicken manure, with chicken manure needs are : Without treatment (A0), 312,5 grams/ polybag (A1), 625 grams/ polybag (A2), 937,5 grams/ polybag (A3). Data analysis from the observations was analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and continued with the Least Significant Difference Test (LSD) with unequal replications. From the research result, the caisim plant lacks light in the plant growth process. The hypothesis was also rejected because varying doses of chicken manure had no effect on the growth and development of the caisim plant. It is recommended to choose an ideal research location for succes in the cultivation process, the importance of the need for sunlight in plant growth to influence photomorphogenesis, namely plant growth and development which is directly controlled by sunlight. Keywords : caisim, dosages of chicken manure

Abstract

Chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum morifolium) is the most popular plant in Indonesia, because chrysanthemum flowers have their own advantages in terms of the beauty of their flower colors. The problem with chrysanthemum shoot cuttings is that the roots are not dense enough so that the chrysanthemum plant cannot grow upright. This research aims to determine the effect of Trichoderma sp. on vegetative growth of chrysanthemum plants. This research was carried out for 5 weeks, starting from July to August 2023 at the Green House of the Seed, Nursery and Agrotourism Center, Tomohon City. The method that will be used in this research is a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with 5 treatments: P0 = No Trichoderma sp. (Control), P1 = Thricoderma sp. 25 gr/l, P2 = Thricoderma sp. 50 gr/l, P3 = Thricoderma sp. 75 gr/l, P4 = Thricoderma sp. 100 gr/l. All treatments were repeated 5 times so that there were 25 units. The data obtained based on observations in this research will be analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The variables observed were: number of leaves, plant height, number of roots, root length. The results of the study showed that the use of Trichoderma was not significantly different from the variables number of leaves, plant height and root length. Giving trichoderma only had a significant effect on the number of roots (giving 50g trichoderma/liter of water). Keywords: trichoderma sp., chrysanthemum cuttings, growth, results
