Abstract

The command to recite shalawat is in Surah al Ahzab verse 56 “Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so], O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace”. This research was conducted in Majlis Taklim Dzikir Shalawat Syadziliyah Ta'mirul Islam Surakarta, with problems namely First, how is the religious value capable of influencing the behavior of the former thugs in the Majlis Taklim Dzikir Shalawat Syadziliyah? Second, what is the strategy of da'wah carried out by the Kyai for former thugs in the Majlis Taklim Dzikir Shalawat Syadziliyah? Third, how does the phenomenon of change experienced by former thugs after following Majlis Taklim Dzikir Shalawat Syadziliyah? The first research objective was to find out religious values that could influence the behavior of former thugs in the Majlis Taklim Dzikir Shalawat Syadziliyah. The second was to find out the strategy of da'wah carried out by Kyai for former thugs in Majlis Taklim Dzikir Shalawat Syadziliyah. This type of research was a qualitative with descriptive approach, while the informants used were in the form of qualitative, the approach used was character analysis and discourse by using interview method and (1) data in the form of natural setting, (2) sampling determined purposively, (3) researcher as a key instrument in collecting and interpreting data, (4) inductive data analysis, and (5) meaning as an essential thing.

Abstract

The program of memorizing of Quran (taḥfiż) in Islamic Schools is the main attraction in the screening of new students, especially in the Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT), one of them is Al Anis Kartasura Sukoharjo which has implemented it from 2006 to the present with the target of two part (in 29th and 30th of Quran) or 1263 verses plus the Yanbu’a program’s and Reading Qur’an 30 part by seeing. The focus of the research is to evaluate the Taḥfiż curriculum and its learning outcomes. The author collects datas by curriculum documents, interview several teachers and evaluate student learning outcomes. Finally the author finds that taḥfiż learning at Al-Anis used several methods begin from verse by verse, listening, writing, drilling and together, all methods, to improve the students abilities. In other, the teachers use teaching learning centers, because they judge its more appropriate than the student learning center because teaching of the Qur’an like teaching a foreign language.

Abstract

Character education is a system to instil character values to students including the components of awareness, understanding, consideration, and profound commitment in implementing those character values. The character education applies at Surakarta public secondary school (SMPN Surakarta) to encourage character values to students on the components of knowledge, awareness, and interest for God the Almighty, individual, other people, and society. Character education at schools closely relates to management or school evaluation that how character education is planned and applied properly at schools. In planning character education, it can immerse character values into learning. The implementation itself tries to integrate character education contents that have been formulated into all learning subjects. The integration is in all aspects of school daily basis life such as teacher role models in behaving and teaching. The success of character education is evaluated by the achievement of indicators of output competency standard such as performing religious teaching properly, following social norms, capable to think logically, critically, creatively and innovatively,  mastering knowledge for further education, and understanding personal and people rights and obligations during the life of local and national society.

Abstract

The emergence of globalization and capitalism in our lives today has given rise to the emergence of hedonistic attitudes, consumerism, materialism and the emergence of permissive attitudes. This contemporary condition is clearly in a dangerous condition, so it is necessary to look for moral and moral principles to maintain the continuity of human life on this earth. One effort that can be done is to re-express the thoughts of classical Muslim leaders who have been able to exert influence in the development of the Islamic world and have even been able to bring glory to Islam. Ibn Miskawaih is one of the Muslim philosophers who in every major discussion of his writings always includes moral aspects, so it is interesting to study, how far the concept of moral education according to Ibn Miskawaih is able to parse various problems in the implementation of moral education in the present and future come. By using qualitative research methods through the documentation of the book Tahzib al-Aklaq Wa Tathir al-Arara, the conclusion is that the epistemology of moral education according to Ibn Miskawaih includes; sources of knowledge, benchmarks of truth and classification of knowledge, and methodologies for acquiring knowledge. The source of knowledge, according to Ibn Miskawaih, is epistemologically derived from the truth of revelation, although in his writings Ibn Miskawaih did not write the postulates of the Qur'an and al-Hadist directly.

Abstract

AbstractIndonesian Islam ideas clearly elaborate the teachings of Islam which are promoting the tolerance, creating Muslim society which is harmonious and respecting the minority rights, such as on Ahmadiyya’s issues. This article shows how Ahmadiyya communities are able to survive in Yogyakarta through educational institution and how the others society receive their existence peacefully. Limiting its scope on Ahmadiyya’s school namely, Yayasan PIRI (Perguruan Islam Republik Indonesia) Yogyakarta which established on 1942 and it labeled as Ahmadiyya’s school based on its history especially refers to Gerakan Ahmadiyya Indonesia. This paper drawn on the acceptability of Ahmadiyya-affiliated school around the society and its effort to negotiate their position used the Indonesian Islam ideas as the approach and the perspective. Artikel ini menunjukkan bagaimana masyarakat Ahmadiyah dapat bertahan di Yogyakarta melalui institusi pendidikan dan bagaimana masyarakat lain menerima keberadaan mereka secara damai. Membatasi lingkupnya di sekolah Ahmadiyah yaitu Yayasan PIRI (Perguruan Islam Republik Indonesia) yang didirikan pada tahun 1942 dan diberi label sebagai sekolah Ahmadiyah berdasarkan sejarahnya, terutama mengacu pada Gerakan Ahmadiyah Indonesia. Makalah ini menggambarkan keberterimaan sekolah berafiliasi Ahmadiyah di sekitar masyarakat dan upayanya untuk menegosiasikan posisi mereka menggunakan gagasan-gagasan Islam Indonesia sebagai pendekatan dan perspektifnya. Abstract

Millennial generation of Merapi Slopes view that the eruption of Mount Merapi is a natural cycle, so they are required to be able to adapt to the natural environment. It is a necessity to increase the capacity of millennial generation in the context of disaster management. SMPN 2 Karangnongko applies the Smart School extracurricular in order to disseminate the values of peace and disaster management. The purpose of this study is to describe the perception of millennial generation towards disaster and the effect of the application of Smart Schools on capacity building. The study uses qualitative methods with data collection methods of observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the perception of millennial generation in Logede region towards disasters as tragedies, ordeal, tests, and unpleasant events that brought misery. This view is influenced by religious values and local wisdom that develops in the community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan titik integrasi antara kesehatan jiwa dan pendidikan karakter. Dinamika studi keilmuan islam dituntut mengembangkan paradigma penyatuan ilmu keislaman dengan ilmu eksakta maupun ilmu humaniora. Penelitian ini berusaha memberikan sumbangsih di bidang ilmu pendidikan dengan mengintegrasikan dengan ilmu kesehatan mental dan ilmu tafsir. Integrasi ilmu kesehatan mental diharapkan memberikan kemapanan dalam konsepsi memahami dinamika manusia. Integrasi dengan ilmu tafsir dimaksudkan untuk menemukan orisinalitas konsep dalam islam. Harapannya, penelitian ini mampu menemukan konsep komprehesif, holistik, mendalam dan aplikatif dalam dunia pendidikan, sehingga mampu memperkaya keilmuan pendidikan di satu sisi dan memberikan solusi terbaik persoalan kemanusiaan di sisi lain. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pustaka berjenis kualitatif. Sumber informasi penelitian ini adalah Al-Qur’an, Al-Hadis dan karya sarjana-sarjana di bidang ilmu kesehatan mental dan pendidikan karakter. Metode dokumentasi digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aspek tazkiyah nafs merupakan titik integrasi antara kesehatan jiwa dan pendidikan karakter, dalam kerangka membangun individu sehat dan berkarakter. This library research aimed to find the point of integration between mental health and character education. The dynamics of Islamic study is presecuted to develop  the paradigm unity of Islamic study, exact sciences and humanities. This research try to contribute pedagogic by intergrating mental health science with  Tafseer. Hopefully the intergration of mental health science gives the steady in conception in understanding of human dynamics. Integration with Tafseer meant to find originality in Islam. So this research is able to find the concept of comprehensive, holistic, in depth and applicable in the world of education.This is a qualitative research that used informaton from Al-Qur’an, Al-Hadis, books of mental health experts and character education experts. The documentation method was used to collect the data of research. This research try to reveal and to ta’shil  the understanding of mental, mental health and tazkiyah nafs then aplicate this understanding into character education. The result of the research indicates that tazkiyah nafs is the point of integration between mental health and character education for building healthy and  characteristic individual. Kata kunci: mental, sehat mental, tazkiyah nafs

Abstract

AbstractCharacter is an action that is done without thinking and consideration first. So the person who is character is the person who performs and responds to something with spontaneous and reflexes. The formation of good character requires the right processes and strategies. Studies and research on character are increasingly important to do considering the recent phenomena are related to the deterioration of values and characters performed by children who are still relatively small and many other actions that deviate from the values of Islamic character that we can see every day through the media. This research is field research using interview, observation and documentation as data collection method. The expected outcome of this study is the offer of solutions to the character problem that occurs. Researchers are interested in doing research in boarding school Al-mumtaz because affective side is preferred and emphasized than cognitive even in the assessment and determination of class increases. The strategy undertaken in the internalization of Islamic character values based on the findings of researchers is a) through entrepreneur activities b) weekly moral value c) habituation d) reward and punishment e) exemplary from teacher f). surveillance and attitude setting for 24 hours. Keywords: values internalization, character building, Islamic boarding school AbstrakKarakter adalah tindakan yang dilakukan tanpa pemikiran dan pertimbangan terlebih dahulu. Jadi orang yang berkarakter adalah orang yang melakukan dan merespon sesuatu dengan spontan dan reflek. Pembentukan karakter yang baik membutuhkan proses dan strategi yang tepat. Studi, kajian dan penelitian tentang karakter semakin penting dilakukan mengingat fenomena baru-baru ini terkait dengan kemunduran nilai dan karakter yang dilakukan oleh anak-anak yang masih tergolong kecil dan banyak tindakan lain yang menyimpang dari nilai-nilai karakter Islam, yang bisa kita lihat setiap hari melalui media. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan dengan menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi sebagai metode pengumpulan data. Hasil yang diharapkan dari penelitian ini adalah tawaran solusi terhadap masalah karakter yang terjadi. Peneliti tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian di pesantren al-Mumtaz karena sisi afektif lebih diutamakan dan ditekankan daripada kognitif meski dalam penilaian dan penentuan kelas meningkat. Strategi yang dilakukan dalam internalisasi nilai karakter Islam berdasarkan temuan peneliti adalah a) melalui kegiatan wirausaha, b) nilai moral mingguan c) pembiasaan d) imbalan dan hukum e) contoh dari guru f) pengawasan dan penjagaan sikap selama 24 jam. Kata kunci: internalisasi nilai, pembangunan karakter, pondok pesantren

Abstract

Character building has become strategic way for government to prepare Indonesian golden generation on 2045. President Regulation Number 87 Year 2017 about Reinforcement of Character Education (PPK) suggests 18 students’ character value through the harmony of psyche building, sense building, thought building, and physical building. Those could be implemented through the development of local wisdom and the improvement of special character and identity of a region. Gorontalo is one of nineteen regions in Indonesia which regulates local laws has various local laws, one of them is Mopolihu Lo Limu (Lemon Bathing) for female children under 1 to 3 years old. Mopolihu Lo Limu tradition has numbers of values which are relevant to the Reinforcement of Character Education (PPK) such as: (1) Religiosity, (2) Honesty, (3) Tolerance, (4) Discipline, (5) Hard work, (6) Independent, (7) Love the Mother Land, (8) Friendly, (9) Love Peace, (10) Social Awareness, (11) Environment Awareness and (12) Responsible. This research used descriptive qualitative method which was relevant to the object. It took place at Gorontalo as the research setting. The object of the research was the Mopolihu Lo Limu  (Lemon Bathing) for female children.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan arah yang jelas dan tepat bagi masyarakat tentang kebijakan pendidikan dan implementasinya dengan menggunakan teori pendidikan, yang diinspirasi oleh filsafat pendidikan, dengan pendekatan naturalistik. Narasumber diambil secara snowball dan purposive. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik observasi, indepth interview, wawancara dan dokumentasi, kemudian dideskripsikan, reduksi, seleksi, dan dianalisa. Dalam proses pendidikan, aliran filsafat progresivisme konstruktivisme dan humanisme menghendaki agar peserta didik dapat menggunakan kemampuannya secara konstruktif dan komprehensif dalam mengembangkan pengetahuan dan potensi yang dimilikinya, tanpa menunggu arahan dan petunjuk dari guru atau siswa lainnya. Dalam pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan; 1) filsafat progresivisme menghendaki kurikulum yang bersifat luwes dan terbuka, dapat dirubah dan dibentuk, sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman dan Iptek; 2) filasafat konstruktifisme menghendaki praktik pembelajaran yang konstruktif, berpusat pada peserta didik, mementingkan kecakapan hidup, membentuk kemampuan riil yang terwujud dalam pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku hidup secara nyata, melalui berbagai penilaian yang otentik dengan memanfaatkan proses dan hasil; 3) filsafat humanisme, menghendaki pelayanan peserta didik untuk menemukan makna dalam belajar sesuai tingkat pertumbuhan dan perkembangannya, dengan mengakomodasi kebutuhan pengembangan kemampuan, minat, bakat dan kebutuhan khusus peserta didik, serta mendorong untuk berprestasi dan mencapai keberhasilan, dengan memberikan penghargaan atas capaian prestasi tersebut, baik berupa ungkapan verbal maupun non-verbal. The purpose of this research is to provide clear and appropriate directions for public about education policies and its implementation by using educational theory inspired by the role of educational philosophy. This research used naturalistic approach. Informants are determined with snowball and purposive technique. Data were collected through observation, indepth interview, interviews and documentation, then described, reduction, selection and analyzed. In educational  process progressivism, contructivsm and humanism philosophy wanted tha the students were able to use their abilities constructively and comprehensive in developing their  own knowledge and potensial without guidance from the teacher or other students. In curriculum development of education, progressivism  requires  flexible and open curriculum can be changed and formed in accordance with the changing time and the development of science and technology. Curriculum development in  contructivism phylosophy oriented in competence that aplicated contructivic lesson, students center, life skill, real ability, that can be seen through cognitive, psicomotor and affective in real life by using various outhentic assesments in process and result. In humanism, curriculum development stressed in students service for discovering the understanding of learning  due to their growth and developing with their ability, talent and the special need of the students, encourage them improve their achievement by giving reward for their achievement in verbal or  non-verbal expression. Kata kunci: progresivisme, konstruktivisme, humanisme
