Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of character education social attitude and responsibility through thematic learning. The supporting and inhibiting factors, the solution in overcoming  the obstacles. The method of this research is qualitative descriptive. This research subjects are headmaster, teacher, and four third grade students. The data collection technique are obtained through observation, interview, and documentation. The technique of qualitative data analysis uses interactive model. The result of research showed that third grade of  SD N Jaranan Bantul Yogyakarta has implemented social attitude and responsibility. The implementation social attitude could be seen from students have maintained harmony, have worked honestly on individual assignment, have obeyed the rules, have completed the assignment well, always respect to teacher and want to help their friends, are brave to express their opinions. While, the implementation of students responsibility could be seen on the students have carried out class pickets, active role in the school activity, and proposed a problem solution. The supporting is namely teacher role model, adequate school infrastructure, and government has promoted character education. The inhibiting factors are character, background, and different ability of students, students lack of  understanding the implementation of social attitude and responsibility and parents less concern with students. The solution are to provide the guidance, advice, and give reprimand to students, students ask for character values that they have not understand, and teachers communicate with student’s parents.

Abstract

Agriculture is a sector that plays an important role in supporting sustainable development. Transmigration since the time of the Dutch East Indies has been synonymous with the food program. One of the objectives to be achieved from the transmigration program is to improve the welfare of transmigrant farmers. This research is a qualitative descriptive study which aims to describe and analyze the social capital owned by transmigrants for the development of the food estate program in Pulang Pisau Regency. This research focuses on: 1) networks, 2) trust, and 3) social norms. The Food Estate development program has a link between social capital. Social capital is the main factor that transmigrants must have to support the Food Estate program. Social capital indicators that need to be considered in developing Food Estate are: a) Network, farmers need a network to develop agriculture (Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Agriculture and Minister of National Defense). Social networks between agricultural actors are also potential social capital to support the Food Estate program; b) Trust, the Food Estate development program has received support from the central government to the community, so this indicates that there is trust from the government and society in increasing national food security while simultaneously improving the welfare of agricultural actors; c) Social Norms, in developing the Food Estate program, a legal basis is needed related to agriculture.

Abstract

During the undergraduate program, the undergraduate students are not separated from the academic and personal problems. There are students who can manage to overcome their problems and remain maintain their academic performance. One of the affecting factors is self efficacy. The purpose of this study is to find out if there is a significant influence between self-efficacy on the learning achievement of students in the class of 2016/2017 at Borobudur University. This research used a quantitative approach. The sample in this study was active undergraduate students of Borobudur University in 2016/2017 with a total of 120 students. The data analysis method in this study is linear regression. The results of this study show that there is an influence of self efficacy on the achievement of Borobudur University students in 2016/2017. The regression model test showed (Sig 0.00 < 0.05), with correlation coefficient values (R) in faculty students in the field of excretion amounting to 0.264, this suggests there is a common relationship between self efficacy variables and low learning achievement. Determination coefficient (R Square) in faculty students amounted to 0.070. This means that only 7%  of variations in learning achievement can be explained by self efficacy variables, and the rest is influenced by other factors.  Keywords: self-efficacy, learning achievement, students

Abstract

The subject of this research is the weaving craftsmen in Lamongan Regency. The object being analyzed is in the form of work experience of the weaving craftsmen during the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of writing this article is to construct their experiences so as to create a mutual consensus among weaving artisans about their work experiences during the Covid-19 pandemic. This article is the result of research conducted at the small weaving center of Lamongan Regency, involving several ikat craftsmen. The approach used is qualitative using phenomenological studies. The data collection process was carried out by interviewing techniques and still applying strict health protocols. After exploring the work experience of craftsmen in the midst of a pandemic, negative and positive impacts were found in the center of the small weaving industry in Lamongan Regency. The negative impact of working during the Covid-19 pandemic was a significant reduction in income and the profits that were made to decrease drastically to the point of loss. The positive impact felt by artisans during the Covid-19 pandemic is almost non-existent. However, it turns out that without realizing it, the crafters are getting used to implementing a healthy life and experiencing advances in mastery of digital technology

Abstract

This research is an experimental study which aims to determine the effectiveness of problem focused coping training in reducing academic procrastination in students. The subjects in this study were students of the Faculty of Psychology, Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University Yogyakarta. The measuring instrument used in the form of Academic Procrastination scale with a reliability coefficient value of 0.931. The collected data were analyzed by statistical analysis of different test. Hypothesis testing in this study used Paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. The results of statistical analysis with different tests in the experimental group obtained the initial t number = 116.731 and the final t = 93,492 meaning that there was a significant influence between providing problem focused coping training for reduce academic procrastination in students. Pair1 test results obtained sig value. (2- tailed) of 0.000 where P <0.05, it can be concluded that there is a difference in the average academic procrastination of students for the pretest and posttest in the experimental group. And the pair2 test results obtained the sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.000 (P <0.05), it can be concluded that there is a difference in the average academic procrastination of students for the pretest and posttest in the control group.

Abstract

The public should be the party that benefits the most in terms of access to information through mass media using public frequencies. Expectations regarding the role of the media are increasingly important during the election period, as in this study it is limited to voting day by choosing TV One and Metro TV as research objects to analyze broadcast content and interpretations made by the media regarding the vote on April 17 2019. This study uses a constructive research approach, with the Robert N. Entman framing analysis methodology presented in a descriptive qualitative manner. The findings in this study indicate that there are educational efforts on live broadcast programs that can be seen in the selection of sources and in the dialogue developed by the two media. Metro TV interpreted that the voting day was running smoothly and that the candidates participated in influencing the peaceful running of the election. Meanwhile, TV One framed the 2019 Election as still running with various problems for voters who had to vote for five different types of elections. The study also found that the media played a role in framing the 2019 elections that were centered on the presidential election, rather than other types of elections. In addition, these two media also provide space for their owners to convey messages to the public who are also figures of national political parties.

Abstract

AbstractThis paper aims to make Gadamer's philosophical hermeneutics the ontological basis of multiculturalism. This is interesting to do because, first, multiculturalism can be seen as a hermeneutical phenomenon and secondly, philosophical hermeneutics contains significant concepts for multiculturalism, such as tradition, effective historical awareness, dialogue and fusion of horizons. To reveal the ontological vision contained in philosophical hermeneutics, this paper uses Heidegger's existential ontology as its formal object, namely the concept of being-in-a-world. With analogical analysis, the ontological vision of philosophical hermeneutics is obtained, namely dialectical ontology. This ontological vision becomes the ontological basis for multiculturalism as dialogical multiculturalism. Keywords: Philosophical hermeneutics, ontology, multiculturalism

Abstract

Smartphone is a high technology of communication tool with various modern social aplication. Nowadays, smartphone has become basic needs of human being especially during this pandemic of covid-19 that affected almost the country around the world. Smartphone has been a tool that must be provided in ourdaily life. Using smartphone during this pandemic covid-19help the students to have online learning from home that can be related to internet acces. Smartphone can give positive and negative impacts for the students. The positive are students can make online conference with teachers without interaction to other people and also they can get some informations or news from other countries. The negatives are the social interactions among students will be worse because they can not make friends, low of caring others and environment, and being able to be selfish child. The writer uses this research to know the impact of using smartphone during paandemic of covid-19 to the social interaction of students in regency of Sukarami Palembang. . This research is a quantitative research with data analysis calculations using SPSS 26 using simple linear regression with respondents of 100 students who live in the sub-district of Sukarami. Data collection was carried out by observation, filling out questionnaires and documentation. The results showed that there was an effect of the use of smartphones on students' social interactions simultaneously with an F value of 112.157> 3.09 (Ftable). Likewise for the partial test with the t test, namely the t value of 5.718> 1.98 (t table). As for the coefficient of determination, the contribution of smartphone use contributed 53.4% to students' social interactions

Abstract

Modern humans place too much emphasis on the outer side that they are trapped in a materialist and hedonist lifestyle. As a result, modern humans experience drought in the spirituality side. Modern humans are prone to stress in the face of increasingly severe life pressures, even to the stage of depression. Depression that is not treated properly causes psychiatric disorders or suicidal behavior. The high number of suicidal behavior in recent years shows the low value of modern human spirituality. Spiritual studies have been carried out by scientists in the field of psychology. In psychology, spirituality and religion have different dimensions. One can have a high spiritual value without having to be religious. One of the human activities that has spiritual potential is art. This research was conducted to determine the effect of art activities in the spiritual development of humans. This study uses qualitative methods with triangulation techniques. The results of this study indicate that visual arts have spiritual potential, so they can be used as a means to develop the spiritual side of humans.

Abstract

Readiness is one of the factor in learning principal that effects the learning process. By the existence of the covid 19, online learning becomes popular in every learning institution nowdays. During the process,it is necessary to know how far the students ready in facing the learning process, not only students in the village but also in the city. Online learning readiness is defined as the time management, independent learning management, having intrinsic motivation, and understanding the way and the experience in independent learning (P. J. Smith, 2005). This research is a quantitative research by focusing on differentiation for collecting the data, the researcher used questionnaire. The readiness in doing the online learning survey is used in collecting the data. The instrument that is used in this research is online learning readiness scale (OLRS) indonesian version instrument (Hidayat, n.d). The survey asked the students to report their characteristic based on the five dimension that is used by (Hung et, al., 2010) such as self-directed learning, motivation for learning, learner control, computer and internet self efficacy and online communication self-efficacy. In analyzing, the technique that is used in this research is Mann-Whitney test (differentiation nonparametric test). Of the 190 research responden the results obtained that the value of Z = -0.802 with a sig. <0.05 which was processed using IBM SPSS Statistics 20.
