Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pelaksanaan pembelajaran Mata Kuliah praktikum di Prodi Pendidikan IPA UST. Dalam pelaksanaan perkuliahan banyak faktor yang menjadi penentu kualitas pembelajaran, diantaranya fasilitas laboratorium, sistem pengelolaan laboratorium, perangkat pembelajaran, kesiapan dosen dalam mengajar, kesiapan mahasiswa dalam mengikuti perkuliahan. Pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran praktikum di prodi pendidikan IPA sejauh ini sudah berjalan, hal ini berdasarkan dari observasi awal berupa catatan hasil interview dari dosen pengampu mata kuliah dan mahasiswa. Selain itu juga didapatkan data awal, diantaranya kurikulum prodi pendidikan IPA, jadwal praktikum, presensi kuliah, buku petunjuk praktikum. Mata kuliah yang dipraktikumkan di prodi IPA UST berjumlah 10 mata kuliah dengan bobot 3 sks. Semua matakuliah wajib ditempuh oleh mahasiswa. Meskipun sejauh ini perkuliahan praktikum sudah berjalan akan tetapi banyak kendala yang ditemui pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran praktikum ini, sehingga diperlukan banyak perbaikan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Dengan mengoptimalisasi perkuliahan praktikum dengan menitikberatkan pada perbaikan sistem kelola laboratorium, penjadwalan praktikum, perangkat pembelajaran praktikum (buku petunjuk praktikum, Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa (LKM)), sistem penilaian dan sarana penunjang lain (koleksi alat/bahan laboratorium) diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran praktikum untuk mendukung kompetensi calon guru IPA SMP di prodi pendidikan IPA UST. Kata kunci : praktikum IPA, laboratorium

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between the behavior of AQ with LOC. AQ scale is the scale of a person's ability to solve problems with its capabilities. While the LOC scale is a scale that identifies the extent to which the orientation of a person's personality in the run control. Both of these variables are expected to be connecting and has a close connection. Having analyzed these two variables apparently unrelated. Of the various things that become obstacles no relationship between these variables is, because linearity is not the same, the lack of validation in the AQ scale, distance and age of the study subjects are too close.Keywords: AQ Scale, Scale LOC, personality, and solve problems

Abstract

The aims of this research were to find out: (1) the effect of learning method by applying Problem Based Learning toward the student’s achievement. (2) The effect of learning style toward student’s achievement. (3) The effect of independence toward the student’s achievement. (4) The interaction between the learning style and independence toward the students’ achievement. This research used experimental method. The population was the students of  Primary School Education Program in semester 4 school year 2011/2012 by eight classes. Two classes were taken as the samples by applying cluster random sampling technique. Student’s achievement were collected by using test method, while the student’s learning style and student’s independence was collected by employing questionnaire method. The data analysis technique used was a three way analysis of variance with unequal cells (ANOVA). The results were: (1) there was no influence of Problem Based Learning methods toward student’s achievement (p=0.620). (2) There was no influence of learning style by visual, auditorial, and kinestetic toward students’ achievement (p=0.455). (3) There was no influence of high and low of student’ independence toward the students’ achievement (p=0.703). (4) There was no interaction between the learning style and the student’s independence toward the students’ achievement (p=0.708). Keywords : Problem Based Learning, Learning style, Independence

Abstract

Authentic assessment or direct assessment is important in the learning process activities that have been implemented. The design of an authentic assessment instrument can know the competencies achieved at the time of the KBM activities. Authentic assessment is a form of assessment that can describe actual learning outcomes, can use various techniques, including through project appraisal, or student activities, portfolio use, journal, demonstration, written reports, checklists and observation instructions. Through an authentic assessment of a teacher can know the level of success and achievement of students in receiving learning material in real or factual. The authentic assessment gives students the opportunity to show what they have mastered and learned. The seven basic skills that need to be assessed on authentic assessment include, visual-spatial, bodily-kinesthetic, musical-rhythmical, interpersonal, logical mathematical, verbal, and linguistic. The development of authentic assessment includes four ways, 1). standard setting; 2). authentic task determination; 3). making criteria, and 4). making a rubric.

Abstract

The text Dagadu Djokdja product is poetry text which has been used for an object this research. Visualizations interesting and humorous words on the text containing many meanings of social criticsm for the society. This study using the theory of a Riffaterre’s Semiotic. The technique of data analysis done with observation, that means reading the whole text Dagadu Djokdja products. Then, the text  analyzed based on instrinsic unsure, continued analyze with the theory of Riffaterre’s semiotic. The results of research shows that in the text Dagadu Djokdja product are found the existence of social criticism. Started by analyzing instrinsic unsure a poem that consisting of the theme and mandate, the sound, and diction. Followed by the analyze using the theory of a Riffaterre’s semiotic through indirectness expression, the reading of heuristic and hermeunitik, matrix and models, as well as intertekstual relations (hypogram), so there are can find the meaning  of the text Dagadu Djokdja product. After that, research continue by examining the social criticism contained in the text. Some of that namely criticism on politics, criticism of education, criticism of community social conditions, criticism of economics, criticism of criminality, criticism with the culture, criticism of nationalism, criticism of defense and the country security, and strong criticism on health.Keywords: criticism, social, Dagadu Djokdja

Abstract

Kingdom of Demak is the oldest Islamic kingdom in Java. In addition Bintoro Demak Sultanate is also an area where the pedagn anchored link from various directions. Traders anchored while utilizing Demak as a transit point and peddle copies merchandise. In addition Demak is also supported by geography high potential to develop maritime culture. Even when the days of the kingdom of Demak Duke Unus very advanced, even with the Duke Unus effort that attack invaders to cross the sea, even referred to as Prince maritime. It is sufficient evidence that marine science is already well developed. This research is historical. While the methods used in this research is the method of historical research, consisting of four steps, ie, heuristic, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The results showed that as the maritime kingdom of Demak perform its function as a link and transit between producing spices in eastern Indonesia and the Malacca as a market in western Indonesia. That's why an initiative arising from Demak ruler of Malacca to manggantikan position as a trading center, both nationally and internationally. To realize all this, we intend to occupy Malacca Demak Bintoro advance to expel the Portuguese who has been in power since 1511 AD. The effort was made when in 1511 AD, Demak under the leadership of Duke Unus voyage to Malacca hold together his forces to carry out a massive attack against the Portuguese, although no results.Keywords : Islamic tradition, Maritime, Nusantara

Abstract

One of challenges from the students who enrolled on Introduction to Literature subject at Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University is how to understand the theories used to analyze a literary work. Until today, there are many researches about literature for English literature students. However, only few managed to combine research on literature and education. This research used the reader response theory by Jauss and Iser, 1978 and Instructional Design Theory by Perkins, 1992. In oder to build the student’s understanding on literature, the students were introduced to response essay writing. They were given several literary works as the materials. After they have finished reading, they write a response essay which analyze the intrinsic elements and reveals their personal experiences related to the literary works. Throughs the students’ response essays, the researchers found that some students fully understood the theory; however, some other students still struggled to convey their understanding due to grammatical lack.Keywords: reader response theory, literature, reading, essay

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of macroeconomic on Generallending and SMEs in Yogyakarta by using multiple linear regression analysis. The variables that will be analyzed are: Inflation, GDP, BI rate and Exchange as the independent variable, while the dependent variable is the General and SME Lending. The results showed no significant simultaneously effect of the macroeconomics variables on general lending and SMEs growth in Yogyakarta. Only Inflation partiallyaffected on lendings growth in Yogyakarta. Keywords:Macroeconomics,General Lending and SMEs

Abstract

This research is aimed to know the impact of using video as a media toward the learning result of sciences for students in class VII in SMPN 1 Turi on 2016/2017 which is looked by the student’s creativity. This research is quasi experiment. The object of this research is the student’s result. The technique of data collection is using test, questioner and documentation techniques. Instrument test is containing with 30 multiple-choice questions, and questioner instrument is containing with 20 statements. As the result, the researcher obtained Fcalculate = 19,747 and p = 0,000, the average of learning result is 20,78, the average of questioner is 60,09. Based on the average of learning result and questioner, then there is an impact by video as a media toward the learning result of sciences for students in class VII which is looked by the student’s creativity.

Abstract

This study to analyze and describe the educational values of characters contained in java textbooks of elementary school of curriculum DIY. This research expected to produce the findings on any character education in accodance with the guide lines of character education and culture of the ministry of National Education and Culture. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative approach in order to describe the educational values of characters cntained in Java textbooks of Elementary School of Curriculum DIY the published by Erlangga, Tiga Serangkai, and Yudistira. Based on research that has been done is produced findings that not all the values of character education according to the guidelines of character education and culture of the Ministry of National Education and Culture totaling eighteen value of character education, contained in the Java language textbook published by Yudistira, Erlangga, and the Tiga Serangkai. Therefore, researchers gave suggestions to the author of textbooks, in order to pay more attention to the contents of the content of a book he wrote. Especially in terms of integrating the values of education. then for teachers, to be more selective in choosing books that will be used to teach. On the other hand, teachers should know and understand the values of character education contained in the book uses.Keywords: character, textbooks, javanesse language
