Abstract

The coverage of the COVID-19 Booster vaccination for pregnant women is still very low, this is because there are still many pregnant women who experience doubts about making a decision to vaccinate. Pregnant women found that Booster doses were associated with higher maternal antibody levels and thus reduced risk for severe COVID-19 related outcomes, as well as a stronger degree of protection for the baby than mothers who only received the primary dose (1st dose and 2nd dose). The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the willingness of pregnant women to carry out the COVID-19 Booster vaccination. This research is a quantitative research with correlation analytic method. The population in this study were pregnant women who were recorded in the PWS KIA K1 data for pregnant women at the Balongpanggang Gresik Health Center as many as 120 respondents, a sample of 55 samples. Sampling used a purposive sampling method by distributing questionnaires online via Google forms and offline using a paper-based-test technique. The results of the study showed that the willingness of pregnant women to carry out the COVID-19 Booster vaccination was 80%. Bivariate analysis in this study used Chi square, Fisher and Kruskal-wallis statistical tests. There is a relationship between education, knowledge and attitudes with the willingness of pregnant women to carry out the COVID-19 Booster vaccination in the working area of the Balongpanggang Health Center, Gresik Regency in 2023. The role of midwives, the community and the government is very much needed in efforts to fulfill the coverage of the COVID-19 Booster vaccination, especially in pregnant women who are a vulnerable population during a pandemic. An approach with the right health promotion strategy is expected to be able to help achieve the target of vaccination coverage.

Abstract

This paper analyzes the problems or conflicts related to the character of Bella Swan who colors the plot in the Twilight series written by Stephenie Meyer, a popular literary romance genre with a vampire theme, a New York Times Best Seller, that consists of four (4) series, namely Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. The author uses the Symptomatic Reading theory based on several expert opinions and basic theories about romance and fantasy, as well as several other expert opinions about this work. Written from the perspective of the main character, Bella, the four Twilight series explicitly and implicitly show some of the problems or conflicts that Bella experienced as a young girl approaching adulthood. The conflicts she experiences stem from his family, herself, and her love life. By analyzing this series of novels, the author not only presents the differences between ideological matters and the facts or reality of the main character's problems, but also raises a new understanding or perhaps more precisely an acknowledgment of the realities that underlie family circumstances, choices and desires of an individual like Bella. Through this analysis, some values or discussions can be drawn and overviewed and can be taken into consideration for the teaching and learning in literature classes, or for the general readers and movie goers in general; bearing in mind that popular literature is no longer a topic to be taken lightly, but must be criticized and benefited from in this era of media and technology, which, in turn, greatly influences the popular culture itself. Thus, it is hoped as well that there will be a balance in knowledge and decision-making in discussions about popular literature.

Abstract

Highways are transportation infrastructure that is very important in supporting land transportation. Without being matched by an increase in road infrastructure, it will result in an excessive load on the road structure and will cause congestion. Congestion is one of the problems that is often experienced or encountered, congestion occurs due to the large number of vehicles that exceed the capacity of the road so that it affects road performance. Based on the network pattern seen during holidays or weekends, access to and from the Malang City area tends to increase. Road side barriers that occur on Commander Sudirman street, Singosari are one of the causes of traffic jams. This research aims to provide an alternative plan in overcoming the problem of traffic jams on Commander Sudirman street, Singosari. The method used in this research was based on the 1997 Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (MKJI), as well as data collection using direct observation methods in the field and then followed by collecting primary data and secondary data. From the research results, the vehicle volume of 2320.6 pcu/hour and degree of saturation (DS) of 0.80 with a level of service (LOS) class D. So it is necessary to divert the route for heavy vehicles (HV) that pass through Commander Sudirman street in the direction of Malang - Surabaya to be diverted via Tumapel street, Ronggowuni street and Kertanegara street, then return to street main route, while for vehicles from Surabaya to Malang that will cross Commander Sudirman street with heavy vehicle types (HV) will follow the current road diversion, namely crossing Rogonoto street, Kebon Agung street, Watu Gede street, and Stasiun street then returning. to the main road as well as installing signs prohibiting parking in the Singosari market shopping area which is on Commander Sudirman street. From the results of this treatment the DS value became 0.76.

Abstract

This study began with learning problems related to the lack of statistics teaching materials that suit students' needs and there are no resources that suit the statistics syllabus. Learning resources are taken from several books whose material is still separated from each other, the material is difficult to understand because the language used is not applied and there are no examples for application in research that will be used by students in their final assignment. The aim of this research is to develop teaching materials for statistics courses that suit student needs, test the feasibility of the statistics teaching materials being developed, and see the effectiveness of using statistics teaching materials in the implementation of learning. The research method used is research and development (R&D), namely the Dick and Carey model. The research subjects were material experts, media experts, design experts, and students of the first semester of the 2022/2023 academic year 2022/2023 master's study program (classes A, B, and C). Instrument Data collection uses observation sheets, interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis used is quantitative and qualitative analysis. The result of this research is that in the implementation of learning there are no teaching materials that are in accordance with the syllabus so that taking from several sources, the model used in developing the product is the Dick and Carey model with the results of the feasibility test through formative evaluation on statistical teaching materials declared suitable for use and in implementation learning is declared effective.
