Yupa: Historical Studies Journal publishes articles for four aspects below. Historiography means the writing of history based on the critical examination of sources, the selection of particular details from the authentic materials in those sources, and the synthesis of those details into a narrative that stands the test of critical examination. Historiography studies cover chronologically various themes, such as local history, social history, cultural history, economic history, political history, military history, intellectual history, environmental history, and other historical studies. Philosophy of history, the study either of the historical process and its development or of the methods used by historians to understand their material. History of education is a study of the past that focuses on educational issues. These include education systems, institutions, theories, themes, and other related phenomena in the past. History education includes studies of how history teaches in school or society, curriculum, educational values in events, figures, and historical heritage, media and sources of historical learning, history teachers, and studies of textbooks.

Abstract

History learning is considered boring learning for students, this learning is considered less useful because it is identical to memorization, therefore educators must have expertise in mastering learning methods and models so that learning in the classroom becomes not boring. This writing aims to see the relevance of the Group Investigation (GI) and Team Game Tournament (TGT) learning models. The method used in this article is descriptive qualitative. Qualitative descriptive research method is one type of analysis that explains a phenomenon or data obtained. The phenomenon or data is obtained from books, journals, and articles with collection techniques namely editing, organizing, and finding. The results of the analysis conducted by the author regarding the definition of GI and TGT, then the relevance of GI and TGT in learning history. The conclusion of this writing is that by using interesting and interactive learning models such as GI and TGT, history learning which is considered boring will become interesting learning for students.

Abstract

This article is written to discuss and describe the influence of the Blawan coffee plantation on the economic resilience of the workers' families in Kalianyar Village, Ijen Subdistrict, Bondowoso Regency (2016-2022) with an economic sociology approach. The theoretical framework used in this article is the theory of social change. Methodologically, the article uses the historical method, which includes heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. From the results of the research, it is known that the Blawan coffee plantation became the foundation of hope for workers in Kalianyar village to meet the economic needs of the family and the workers can be involved in activities in the plantation starting from the production process, plant maintenance, coffee harvesting process, and post-harvest coffee handling. From these major activities, the laborers get income to help the family economy. The conclusion is that the Blawan coffee plantation is the foundation of the laborers' hopes to improve the family economy.

Abstract

PT. Gojek Indonesia, a technology company founded in 2011 by Nadiem Makarim and Kevin Aluwi, introduced online transportation services to Indonesia, starting with GoRide, a modern motorcycle taxi service. This research employs a historical method with four steps: Heuristics, Criticism, Interpretation, and Historiography. Gojek officially began operations on August 8, 2015, receiving an enthusiastic response from the public. Its presence improved urban mobility, offering easy access and affordable rates, supported by professional and friendly drivers. Unlike traditional motorcycle taxis, Gojek provides both passenger and goods transportation services, as well as shopping and food delivery options. The Gojek application offers various services, including GoRide, GoSend, GoFood, GoCar, GoMart, and GoBox.. Gojek's entry into Makassar aimed to alleviate traffic congestion and improve mobility in the city. The company obtained necessary permits and coordinated with relevant stakeholders before launching its services. Gojek's presence has significantly impacted the transportation landscape in Makassar, providing a convenient, affordable, and reliable alternative to traditional transportation modes while also contributing to job creation and economic growth.

Abstract

Learning innovation in social studies learning is important, especially for designing learning. This study aims to examine the effectiveness and relevance of comic media as a tool for developing social studies learning. This study uses a literature study method by analyzing various indexed and accredited journals that highlight the use of comics in social studies learning. The results indicate that comics in addition increase students' interest in learning but also help in understanding complex concepts through visualization. Comic media, when combined with innovative learning strategies, can have a positive impact on student learning outcomes in social studies learning.

Abstract

This research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection and data sources were determined by purposive sampling. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out through data collection, reduction, presentation and conclusion. Then, to obtain the validity of the data in this research, the researcher used triangulation techniques. The research results show that the State High School in Barito Kuala has implemented an independent curriculum. Learning and assessment have been carried out in an integrated manner. In history learning, teachers use assessments to measure the achievement of learning objectives. Three types of assessments are used: diagnostic, formative, and summative. The assessment results are used as a basis for assessing students' cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects, as well as reflective material for teachers to use in determining subsequent learning strategies.
