Abstract

AbstractSometimes there are contradictions between social dan individual aspect of people because the social side opens a possibility in developing human autonomy, but also impedes a growth of creativity. This contradictions always accompany the history of human and determine the style of knowledge produced through an education process. In this case, the mediums used to have knowledge and the methods of education must not become aseriously debate matter, but the most important thing to reconsider is the essence of science finding.Keywords: Style of knowledges, Education, Science

Abstract

Emha Ainun Najib, or Emha, is a poet, artist, writer, thinker, and other populist designations that exist in Indonesian society. As a writer, his essays in the 1980s to the 1990s very coloring various mass media in Indonesia. There, many critical discourses and sharp in highlighting the social reality, religion, art and culture. The studies reviewed Emha thoughts in perspective philosophy of humanism. The result was found, that the thought Emha have a strong spirit in his defense to the humanitarian aspects (humanism). Spirit is supported by the value of spirituality and religiosity that leads to ethical purpose, namely a quality of “consciousness”. Humanism Emha is theistic humanism which has the potential to be used as a solution-critical reflections on the problems of social life.

Abstract

This research investigated the book of "Butir-butor Budaya Jawa" 1990, 205p. The aim of this study is to sound out the possibility of transforming the philosophical values of this book to the course of branch of philosophy, that is, Metaphysic/Ontology, Epistemology, and Logic: Ethics. This research also studied the specific contens of philosophy, for example are the philosophy of social and politics:: philosophy of laws; philosophy of man and theodiceae. Feurtheremore, it will try to estimate some contents of system of philosophy in order to express the implicit tenets of Javanese culture.This research will be able to give two important benefits covered the development and academic benefit. Firstly, on the scope national development this research will support a reference of national ethos and development ethics. Secondly, in term of academic knowledge, it can expand the contens of philosophy of culture and Indonesian or Pancasila philosophy.This research emphasize on the literacy study which analysis data carried out by qualitative method by applying the hermeneutics-interpretation concerning the text.The research findings show that the six themes--Belief in the Supreme God; Spirituality; Humanity; Nationhood; and On malerial Goods--contained the three elements of philosophy mentioned above. The book also expressed the naunce of several specific philosophy, tenets of wisdom and also the elements of existentialistic and pragmatic thought/ The three elements of philosophy were not made up separated form to show some interrelation so that expressed the whole of Javanese tenets.

Abstract

Corruption is the reality of crime that can not be separated from the structure and human agency. The perspective of structuration theory emphasizes the duality relation between agents and structures. The structure includes the rules and resources and the social systems are mobilized in space-time by the social agents. Corruption as a structural crime involving micro structures and macro structures. First, corruption is a crime that occurs due to banality (omission/habituation) whose motive is greed, dishonesty, arrogance, pettiness, shallowness of thought and the subjective satisfaction. Motifs are encased in a system of production and reproduction of social activity that is dialectic. Secondly, corruption is sustained by the conditions of a globalized modernity as a result of events like the separation of time and spice, the development of disembedding mechanism of localized context, and the reflexive appropriation of knowledge. Agents are those that have a value of intervention (effect) against a corrupt act. Various efforts to justify acts of corruption is a form of rationalization of actions by human agents as creative and reflexive beings. Their motive is to avoid moral responsibility and social law. Social change can be done by 'deroutinization' of structure or distancing by reflexive monitoring of structure while constraining and enabling the seeds of corruption that involves the structure of signification, domination, and legitimation in the constitutions of society.

Abstract

Essential issue in the study of the metaphysics of symbol is based on two main questions: (1) is a symbol immanent in human (and limitedly rooted in the human spirit) or symbol is also rooted to the transcendent (which address the human and his life)?; and (2) is a symbol just has horizontal dimension or vertical dimension as well?The creation of keris is a mixture of desires, hopes, goals, and desired benefits from the buyer if the dagger with a sense, initiative and creativity embodied in the master symbols at luk, dhapur, and pamor. The master in the making process, entered the dimensions of the symbols commonly applicable in the Javanese community. Javanese keris analyzed from the point of the symbol, can be concluded that the symbol visible at the class of ordinary Javanese (the public) is more vertical-transcendental, and the special group (the intellectuals) Javanese symbol doubles the vertical dimension-transcendental, as well as horizontal-immanent, while the new class (the keris is considered as art), Javanese symbolism over the horizontal dimension-immanent.
