Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease that requires continuous self-care. Education by nurses can support self-care behavior of patients with type 2 DM. Good knowledge affects self-care of type 2 diabetes patients so that metabolic control can be achieved. This study aimed to identify the correlation between the role of nurse as educator and self-care behaviour in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This research applied a descriptive analytic design with cross sectional approach. A total of 63 respondents were enrolled in this study by using consecutive sampling technique. Data collection was conducted by administering questionnaires of nurse role as educator and Summary of Diabetes Self Care Activities (SDSCA). Data were analyzed by using Spearman correlation test with significance level of 0.05. The result showed that the mean value of nurse role and self-care behaviour was 59.84 and 3.79 respectively. The p value was 0.000 (p<0.05) with the correlation coefficient (r) of 0.851. It indicates that there was a significant correlation between nurse role as educator and self-care behaviour in patients with type 2 DM. The correlation was strong and positive which means the better the nurse's role as educator the better the patient's self-care behaviour. The education gained by the patients can affect the motivation to perform self-care behaviour. This study suggests the importance of nurse role in providing education in type 2 diabetes patients to optimize self-care behaviour.

Variable of burden was measured with the Zarit Burden Interview (ZBI) and the coping mechanism was assessed by using Brief COPE Inventory (BCI). This supportive therapy was performed in 4 sessions with a total of 6 meetings. The results showed that there were significant differences on burden values and coping mechanisms before and after supportive therapy in the treatment group (p-value= 0.000). In the control group, there was a significant difference on the value of burden before and after health counseling (p-value =0.010), but there was no difference of coping mechanism value before and after health counseling (p-value=0.225). There were significant differences on the burden value (p-value=0.002) and coping mechanisms (p-value= 0.001) between treatment and control group. dr Rehatta Hospital is expected to facilitate the formation of peer support group in the psychiatry clinic so mental health in the family can be achieved.

Diabetes mellitus is a disorder in the metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids and proteins, which is characterized by hyperglycemia. Its prevalence in the world is increasing, especially type 2 diabetes, causes an increased incidence of morbidity and mortality throughout the world due to complications of hyperglycemia. Hyperglycemia stimulates the release of superoxide (O2-) at the level of mitochondria which is the trigger early onset of oxidative stress in patients with diabetes mellitus type 2. Therefore one of the therapeutic modalities that can be developed in type 2 diabetes mellitus is a substance as potent antioxidant. Geraniin of rambutan peel extract is known to have the ability as a potent antioxidant and radical scavenging, so it is possible to be a prime candidate antidiabetes in the ype 2 diabetes melitus. We searched Cochrane Library data bases, Google Scholar, Medline and PubMed, from 2006 to 2016, to assess the effect of rambutan peel extract for type 2 diabetes melitus. We obtained 17 articles in accordance with the inclusion criteria. In the peel of rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum), geraniin is the main phenolic compounds that have the potential ability as an antioxidant and antihyperglycemic through inhibition of alfa-glucosidase and alfa-amylase, preventing the polyol (aldol reductase inhibition) and prevents the formation of advanced glicosilation products (AGEs). There is a very strong correlation between the ability as an antioxidant with the ability to inhibit alfa-glucosidase and alfa-amylase, so geraniin of rambutan peel extract (Nephelium lappaceum) expressed as the ideal candidate for the management of hyperglycemia in individuals with diabetes.

Cancer is the most leading disease that cause of death. Doxorubicin chemotherapy is often used in cancer treatment, because of its effectiveness. Although doxorubicin has a positive effect for killing cancer cell, doxorubicin has many side effects, one of which doxorubicin can cause kidney damage through the process of interstitial fibrosis. Utilization garlic chives extract as co chemotherapy to reduce renal damage induced by doxorubicin is a prospective opportunities. This study aimed to analyze the effect of garlic chives extract as a nephroprotective on levels of BUN and creatinine of wistar rats induced by doxorubicin. The research method was quasi experimental design with post test only randomized controlled group. The results showed that extracts of garlic chives can reduce levels of BUN and creatinine (p <0.05) in the group that only induced by doxorubicin. In conclusion, extract of garlic chives has nephroprotecive effects on wistar rats which were induced by doxorubicin.

Nursing education system in Indonesia based on the competency-based curriculum is learning experiences that require nursing students to study both in campus and in health services areas. It can cause anxiety to the students. If a student experiences an ongoing increase in anxiety, it can cause negative effects so that students' learning motivation becomes decreased. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of mandala pattern coloring activity on the level of anxiety among nursing students in Dirgahayu Nursing Academy, Samarinda. This study was pre-experiment research with one group pre-test and post-test design. The population of this study was students in Dirgahayu Nursing Academy, Samarinda and the sample was students in 4th semester. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety (HARS) was applied to measure anxiety level. Data were analyzed by using paired-samples t-test. The results of data analysis using Microsoft Excel 2010 with t-test formula showed p value: 0.004, indicating a significant difference in anxiety level before and after the mandala pattern coloring activity. Mandala pattern coloring activities can be used as an appropriate activity to reduce anxiety..

The study was conducted in June 2017 in Kabupaten Kediri. Interpretative Phenomenology Analysis (IPA) was used to analyze the data and found 8 themes; guilty feeling to the family, leaving fate in life, getting moral support to improve their life better, getting ashamed for what they have ever done, feeling unworthy in the community, being given to do better, feeling not given the opportunity to do better, and not having a desire to the narcotics. Dyspnea is a clinical manifestation of Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) due to lack of oxygen supply because of accumulation of fluid in the alveoli. This is an important factor that affects the quality of life of patients. The accumulation makes the heart unable to pump up to the maximum. The effect in respiratory muscle increases the sensation of dyspnea. Non-pharmacological management is measures aimed to maintain physical stability, avoid behaviors that can aggravate the condition, and detect early symptoms of worsening heart failure. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the influence of deep breathing exercise and active range of motion on dyspnea in CHF patients. This study was quasi-experiment with pretest-posttest with control group design that involved 32 respondents by stratified random sampling. Modified Borg scale was used as data collecting tool. The intervention of deep breathing exercise was conducted thirty times, and active range of motion was performed five times for each movement. The intervention was done three times a day for 3 days. This study was carried out from April to June 2017 in RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta and RS PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Yogyakarta. Paired t-test showed p<0.001 in the intervention group and p=0.001 in the control group. Mann Whitney test showed that intervention of deep breathing exercise and active range of motion is more effective than hospital standard intervention in decreasing dyspnea (p=0.004; a=0.05). This study recommends the application of deep breathing exercise and active range of motion as a method to reduce dyspnea in patients with CHF.
