Abstract

Abstract

Introduction: The digital era of information requires teenagers to find information via the internet where easy internet access is not without risks. Coupled with a great sense of curiosity in teenagers, it will encourage them to open pornographic sites when they are overwhelmed by feelings of loneliness and boredom with complicated conditions in the family or incompatibility in friendship. Aim of study: This article aims to discuss the antecedents of internet pornography behavior and premarital sexual behavior among adolescents. Method: The research method is to use literature study techniques on 25 articles from the Google Scholar and Proquest databases. Results and Discussion: The literature study shows that addiction to internet pornography can lead to deviant behavior such as premarital sexual behavior. Premarital sexual behavior in adolescents can occur when adolescents want to try what they see on pornographic sites to be practiced on their friends of the opposite sex or to their partners. The situation in which premarital sexual behavior is a trend among adolescents will ultimately create social disease in the society which has an impact on the mental damage of the nation's future generations. Conclusion: The conclusion from this literature study is that premarital sexual behavior in adolescents will increase the incidence of sexually transmitted diseases such as HIV / AIDS. So it is hoped that health workers, the community, and related parties will get the same understanding considering that adolescents are very vulnerable to the negative influence of the internet without neglecting its positive effects on adolescent psychosocial development and academic achievement.

Abstract

Incident reporting of patient safety is the first step in improving patient safety through learning from previous incidents. However, barriers to incident reporting caused by work environment factors make the patient safety incident system not run well in various countries. This study analyzes nurses’ dimensions of a healthy work environment toward reporting patient safety incidents. This study used an observational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. This study was conducted in a regional hospital in West Nusa Tenggara province in October - November 2022 with a total sample of 151 nurses working in the inpatient room. Sample determination used a quota sampling technique. Measurement of a healthy work environment was adopted from the HWE Tools and Measurement of incident reporting. The questionnaire was adopted from the Patient Safety Incident Reporting and Learning Systems. Data collection techniques implemented primary data questionnaires and multiple linear regression tests. The results showed a relationship between communication, collaboration, decision-making, staff suitability, recognition, and leadership to patient safety incident reporting with a p-value of 0.001 each (p <0.05). The most dominant relationship is Recognition (B=0.39, p=0.001). Recognition means stimulating a person’s psychological growth and a positive mindset to complete tasks, solve problems, overcome obstacles, and bounce back from difficult situations. Therefore, individual attitudes alone are not enough to make individuals behave to report or not report incidents but must be supported by the wishes of those who have great influence in the environment and want individuals to report if an incident occurs.

Abstract

AbstractReproductive health information for adolescent students is still considered taboo and has not yet been included in the school curriculum. A good understanding of adolescent reproductive health is crucial because adolescents are expected to have responsible attitudes and behaviors regarding the reproductive process. The high-risk sexual behaviors among adolescents are due to a lack of accurate knowledge about reproductive health and sexually transmitted diseases. This activity aims to enhance the knowledge of high school adolescents regarding reproductive health. The activity was held in November 2021 at Public Senior High School 2 Malang, involving male and female students. The activity was conducted through health education, discussions, and demonstrations about reproductive health. The chosen media for delivery were audiovisual materials (PowerPoint presentations and videos). Evaluation was carried out using pre-test and post-test questionnaires related to knowledge. The complete questionnaires underwent data analysis. The data analysis results from the participants, with a total of 218 respondents who thoroughly answered the provided questions, showed that the majority of participants were female (71%), aged 16 years (49.1%), from 10th grade (54.6%), enrolled in the science stream (66.6%), and had previously received information about reproductive health (77.1%). Furthermore, a significant difference in reproductive health knowledge scores was found among male students (p-value 0.000), while for female students, the difference was not significant (p-value 0.892). In conclusion, audiovisual educational media effectively enhances reproductive health knowledge.
