Abstract

The aims of the research are to find out: (1) The Effect of concept mapping technique and gaming technique toward the student achievement in accounting subject matter; (2) The Effect of high students's motivation and low students's motivation toward the student achievement in accounting subject matter; (3) The interaction effect between the instructional technique and students's motivation toward the st ident achievement in accounting subject matter.This study is a quantitative research with quasi experimental method. The research begin October 2010 to March 2011. Population of the study are all the eleventh year students of state senior high school 1 for social study major in Surakarta. The research sample are selected with simple random sampling technique. The sample consist of XI IPS 2 (25 students) for concept mapping technique treatment and XI IPS 2 (26 students) for gaming technique treatment.The instruments used to gather dafa for the study consist of documents, written test with essay form, performance test, and questionnaire for students' motivation. Writen test with essay form and questionnaire for students' motivation has been tested who know the proper of instruments. The result of try out test is analyzed with content validity test, item validity test, and reliability test. Item validity test and reliability test were examined using software SPSS.The technique of data analysis are descriptive statistic analysis and inferensial statistic analyses with use software MINITAB. Descriptive statistic analysis is used to divisions of students' motivation in ciass and describe about student achievement in accounting. Inferensial statistic analysis is used to test hypothesis for this research was two path variance analysis. The prerequiste anlysis test consists of normaly test and homogenity variance test. The normality test was done using anderson darling and homogenity variance test was done using F's test.Based on the result of analysis data was concluded: (1) There is a significant effect of concept mapping technique and gaming technique toward the student achievement in accounting subject matter (Fobs > Ftable = 7.94 > 4.06) at 5% level of significant; (2) There is a significant effect of high students' motivation and low students' motivation toward the student achievement in accounting subject matter (Fobs > Ftable = 449.19 > 4.06) at 5% level of significant at 5% level of significant; (3) There is a significant interaction effect between the instructional technique and students' motivation toward the student achievement in accounting subject matter (Fobs > Ftable = 22.47 > 4.06) at 5% level of significant.Key words:   Concept mapping technique, gaming technique, students' motivation, student achievement in accounting subject matter.

Abstract

This experimental research aims to find out the different on the impacts of using cooperative learning type Student Teams Achievement Divisions and lecturing towards the social program students’ achievement on economics subject. The second aim is to find out the difference of social program students having high motivation and those having low motivation towards their achievement on economics subject. The last objective is to find out the interaction impacts between and the level of motivation towards the social program students’ achievement on economics subject.The experimental research employed Quasi experiment in which there were experimental group and controlled group. Both were formed randomly. It was conducted in SMA Regina Pacis Surakarta at semester 2 in the academic year of 2012/2013. Among all students of social program, who are the population of this experiment, 34 of whom were in eleventh graders of social 2 and functioned as the experimental group using Student Teams Achievement Divisions.  While the controlled group involved 34 eleventh graders of social 3 who used lecturing. This experiment used purposive cluster technique and random sampling. The data was analyzed using two ways ANAVA with its normality is tested using Liliefors significant correction from Kolmogorov Smirnov Test and its homogeneity is tested using F test.From the analysis, it is found out that firstly there was significant difference on the impacts of cooperative learning type Student Teams Achievement Divisions and lecturing towards students’ achievement on economics subject which was shown by the value of F=3.576 and the value of P=0.000 (P<0.05). The second finding was that there was significant difference of students having high motivation and those having low motivation which was shown by the value of F=73.468 with the value of P=0.0000 (P<0.05). The last finding was that there was significant impact between learning model and students’ motivation on students’ achievement on economics subject which was shown by the value of F=5.434 with P=0.023 and P=0.023 (P<0.05).

Abstract

Background: The learning model that applied on the economic subject in the WARGA High School of Surakarta nowadays much emphasizes on the conventional learning model, then the problems is the low of student learning motivation and memory capacity that has the effect on the bad result of student a chievement, that is just 47% of 155 social students in XI Grade of WARGA High School of Surakarta above the passing grade. By using the cooperative learning model of Jigsaw type, it is expected the result of student a chievement on economic subject matter will be improved. This research is aimed to know the influence of cooperative learning model of Jigsaw type on the increasing of student learning motivation, memory capacity and the result of student achievement on economic subject matter.Subjects and Methods: This research was a classroom action research that conducted in the two cycles and each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, monitoring and reflection. The subjects of research were 155 students of first semester in XI Grade of social class WARGA High School of Surakarta. The data sources were the student, venue and the phenomenon of learning process and documentation. The method of data collection were questionnaire, observation and interview. The validation of data was internal validation. The data analysis was qualitative analysis.Results: The result of research shows that before using the cooperative learning model of jigsaw type, the student learning motivation is just about 43.0, that means the number of students that achieve the passing grade are 15 students or 41.67% of classical completeness. In the I cycle the average score is increased becomes 53.4 with the number of students that achieve the passing grade are 23 students or 63.89% of the classical completeness. It is continued in the II cycle in which the decided target of the researcher is passed over by the average score is 56.0 by the classical completeness of 83.33%, that means 30 students of 36 have the high motivation. The beginning memory capacity of students is 50.08 by the classical completeness is 50.00%, those are 18 students. In the I cycle the score is improved to be 57.08 by the classical completeness is 69.44%, those are 25 students. In the II cycle, the score becomes 60 and the classical completeness is 80.56%, those are 29 students. The earlier result of study in the XI grade social class with the passing grade of 70.0 just has the score of 62 with the classical completeness of 44.00%. In the I cycle, the result of study gets the classical completeness of 63.0% with the average score is 73. In the II cycle, the target is overcome, in which the result is 80 with the classical completeness of 80.09%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh motivasi kerja guru, kepuasan kerja guru, kepemimpinan kepala sekolah menurut persepsi guru, serta iklim sekolah terhadap kinerja guru ekonomi SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Wonogiri.Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru ekonomi SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Wonogiri yang jumlahnya 150 orang. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah simple random sampling. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan table penentuan jumlah sampel dari populasi tertentu yang dikembangkan dari Issac dan Michael, untuk jumlah populasi 150 orang dengan tingkat kesalahan 10% maka jumlah sampelnya 97 orang.Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa analisis data dari kelima hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa nilai probabilitas lebih besar dari 0,05 sehingga Ho diterima, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) terdapat pengaruh dari motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru, (2) terdapat pengaruh dari kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja guru, (3) terdapat pengaruh dari kepemimpinan kepala sekolah menurut persepsi guru terhadap kinerja guru, (4) terdapat pengaruh iklim sekolah terhadap kinerja guru, dan (5) terdapat pengaruh dari motivasi kerja, kepuasan kerja, kepemimpinan kepala sekolah menurut persepsi guru dan iklim sekolah secara bersama-sama terhadap kinerja guru ekonomi SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Wonogiri.Kata kunci: Motivasi Kerja, Kepuasan Kerja, Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah, iklim Sekolah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) Pemanfaatan laboratorium multimedia dalam pelaksanaan RSBI sebagai upaya peningkatan prestasi mata pelajaran ekonomi di SMA Negeri 3 Madiun, 2) Kendala yang dihadapi sekolah dalam pemanfaatan laboratorium multimedia dalam program RSBI di SMA Negeri 3 Madiun dan upaya yang dilakukan oleh sekolah dalam mengatasinya, 3) Hasil yang diperoleh siswa dari pemanfaatan laboratorium multimedia dalam program RSBI sebagai upaya peningkatan prestasi mata pelajaran ekonomi di SMA Negeri 3 Madiun.Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 3 Madiun pada tahun pelajaran 2010/2011. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Sumber data yang digunakan meliputi informan, peristiwa, dan dokumen. Teknik sampling pengumpulan data yang diterapkan adalah pengamatan, wawancara/interview, dan mengkaji dokumen arsip. Teknik sampling yang digunakan untuk mengambil sampel adalah snowball sampling. Pemeriksaan keabsahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan keikutsertaan, keajegan pengamatan, dan triangulasi. Sedangkan analisa data dilakukan analisa interaktif yang meliputi: produksi data, sajian data, penarikan kesimpulan.Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan (1) Pemanfaatan laboratorium multimedia dalam program RSBI di SMA Negeri 3 Madiun dilaksanakan secara maksimal, yang didukung oleh guru, siswa, dan lingkunagan dalam peningkatan prestasi mata pelajaran ekonomi, (2) Keberadaan media pembelajaran di SMA Negeri 3 Madiun sudah cukup memadai, (3) Kendala yang dihadapi guru dalam memanfaatkan multimedia adalah kurang terampilnya dan kurang optimalnya guru dalam memanfaatkan, (4) Upaya sekolah untuk mengatasi kendala dengan meningkatkan workshop, IHT, dengan bantuan teman dalam satu team, (5) Hasil pemanfaatan laboratorium multimedia dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa sesuai dengan yang diharapkan.Hal-hal yang perlu ditindak lanjuti dari penelitian ini antara lain perlu ditingkatkan sumber daya manusia terutama guru-guru yang berusia diatas 50 tahun dalam memanfaatkan laboratorium multimedia.Kata kunci: prestasi belajar, pemanfaatan laboratorium multimedia.

Abstract

Background: The aims of this research are to know: (1) The difference of effect between internet media and VCD media to the achievement in social science of economics , (2) The difference of effect between high learning motivation  and low learning motivation to the  achievement in social science of economics, (3) The effect interaction between learning media and students' learning motivation to the achievement in social science of economics. Subjects and Methods: The kind of research used in this study is experiment. The population of the research is the students of junior high school at the Islamic Foundation in Kartasura and Gatak District.  All of the samples were taken by using a multi-stage cluster random sampling technique.  The sample is 127 students represent the population of 771 students.  The data of the research were gathered by using questionnaire for learning motivation and test for learning achievement.  The data were analyzed by a two-way analysis of variance.Results and Conclusion:(1) There was significant effect difference between internet media and VCD media to the achievement in social science of economics (Fobs: 243.86 > Ftable: 3.84), (2) there was significant effect difference between high learning motivation and low learning motivation toward achievement in social science of economic between students who have high motivation to students who have low motivation (Fobs: 27.526> Ftable: 3.84 ), (3) there was effect interaction between learning media and learning motivation for achievement social science of economics (Fobs: 6.396 > F table: 3.84). All of at significance level of 0.05.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) pengaruh penggunaan tipe pembelajaran Team Accelerated Instruction (TAI) terhadap prestasi belajar akuntansi siswa, (2) pengaruh aktivitas belajar siswa terhadap prestasi belajar akuntansi siswa, (3) pengaruh interaksi tipe pembelajaran Team Accelerated Instruction (TAI) dengan aktivitas belajar siswa terhadap prestasi belajar akuntansi siswa.Metode: Penelitian ini termasuk eksperimental semu. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMA N 1 Kartasura Tahun Ajaran 2012/2013. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode dokumentasi, tes dan angket.Hasil: Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan Anava dua jalan dengan sel tak sama, dengan taraf signifikansi 5%, diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut: (1) penggunaan metode pembelajaran berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar akuntansi, (2) aktivitas belajar siswa berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar akuntansi siswa, (3) interaksi metode pembelajaran dengan aktivitas belajar siswa berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar akuntansi siswa. Hasil uji komparasi ganda dengan metode Scheffe, dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) metode TAI menghasilkan prestasi belajar yang lebih baik daripada metode ceramah, (2) Prestasi belajar siswa yang mempunyai aktivitas belajar tinggi dan sedang lebih baik dari pada siswa yang mempunyai aktivitas belajar rendah, (3) Tidak ada perbedaan prestasi belajar siswa yang melakukan pembelajaran TAI dengan aktivitas belajar tinggi, sedang, dan rendah.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Rendahnya prestasi belajar siswa dapat disebabkan karena guru kurang tepat dalam memilih dan menerapkan metode pembelajaran yang sesuai untuk menyampaikan materi pelajaran. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan guru untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa yaitu dengan menerapkan pendekatan pembelajaran pendekatan pembelajaran Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) pengaruh pendekatan pembelajaran CTL terhadap prestasi belajar ekonomi siswa. (2) pengaruh kemampuan awal siswa terhadap prestasi belajar ekonomi siswa. (3) pengaruh pendekatan pembelajaran CTL terhadap prestasi belajar ekonomi ditinjau dari kemampuan awal siswa.Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu (quasi eksperimen) dengan desain faktorial 2x3, dan dengan rancangan penelitian pre-test post-test control-group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Tumijajar Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Teknik penggumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode dokumentasi dan metode tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis variansi dua jalan sel tak sama.Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan: (1) Terdapat pengaruh pendekatan pembelajaran CTL terhadap prestasi belajar siswa Fhitung > Ftabel atau 5,819>4,00 (2) Terdapat pengaruh tingkat kemampuan awal siswa tinggi, sedang, dan rendah terhadap prestasi belajar siswa Fhitung > Ftabel atau 22,903>3,15. 3) Terdapat pengaruh pendekatan pembelajaran CTL terhadap prestasi belajar siswa ditinjau dari kemampuan awal siswa Fhitung > Ftabel atau 5,786>3,15. Dengan demikian hasil penelitian dengan pendekatan pembelajaran CTL lebih baik daripada siswa yang diajarkan dengan pendekatan pembelajaran konvensional. Prestasi belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan pendekatan pembelajaran CTL pada kemampuan awal awal siswa menunjukan adanya pengaruh.

Abstract

The study aims to describe (1) performance of certified teachers on economic subjects in the Senior High School, in Jepara Distric, Central Java indicated from pedagogic competence (2) performance of certified teachers on economic subjects in the Senior High School, in Jepara Distric, Central Java indicated from professional competence (3) performance of certified teachers on economic subjects in the Senior High School, in Jepara Distric, Central Java indicated from social competence (4) performance of certified teachers on economic subjects in the Senior High School, in Jepara Distric, Central Java indicated from personal competence (5) the phenomenon underlying performance of certified teachers on economic subjects in the Senior High School, in Jepara Distric, Central Java.This research was carried out in the Senior High School in the Distric of Jepara. Qualitative Descriptive is used as research method. The population in this research were all certified teachers on economic subjects in the Jepara Senior High Schools. Purposive sampling is used as sampling techniques. The sample of the research comprised a total of 11 teachers consist of 3 certified economic teachers in the Senior High School ofWelahan, 3 certified economic teachers in the Senior High School of Pecangaan, 2 certified economic teachers in the Senior High School of Jepara, 3 certified economic teachers in the Senior High School of PGRI. The techniques of data collection were interviews, observation and documentation. The techniques of data analysis used interactive analysis.Result and conclusions of this study is the performance of certified teachers on economic subjects in the Senior High School, in Jepara Distric, Central Java has not been fully showed the change, because (1) indicated from pedagogical competence, teacher set learning goals just based on the syllaby, regardless of the needs and the conditions of the students, besides that the eight of teaching skills can not be done well. (2) indicated from personal competence, teachers have played the main role as models for their students in order the students had promises to improve their discipline and responsibilities for themselves. (3) indicated from professional competence, speech method is often used as teaching method, so there are still many learning resources are unused by teachers, such as libraries, school cooperatives, markets and the willingness of the teachers to improve their professionalism by training, workshops, seminars and lectures are still low. (4) indicated from social competence teachers have responsibility for their profession as intelligent person who is demanded to be able contribute their ideas for the surrounding communities (5) the phenomenon underlying the performance of certified teachers on economic subjects in the Senior High School, in Jepara Distric, Central Java of which teachers do not have good management in teaching-learning, teachers do not have a genuine intention to teach, and the facilities provided by the school do not support the current method, there are socio-cultural factors that affect the appearance of the teachers in the society.Key words: Performance of Teacher, Teacher's Certified

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk: 1) mengetahui pengaruh langsung positif kompetensi guru terhadap prestasi belajar mata pelajaran ekonomi siswa kelas XI IPS di SMA Negeri 1 Lasem, 2) mengetahui pengaruh langsung positif motivasi belajar siswa terhadap prestasi belajar mata pelajaran ekonomi siswa kelas XI IPS di SMA Negeri 1 Lasem, 3) mengetahui pengaruh langsung positif fasilitas belajar terhadap prestasi belajar mata pelajaran ekonomi siswa kelas XI IPS di SMA Negeri 1 Lasem, 4) mengetahui pengaruh tidak langsung positif kompetensi guru terhadap prestasi belajar mata pelajaran ekonomi melalui motivasi belajar pada siswa kelas XI IPS di SMA Negeri 1 Lasem, dan 5) mengetahui pengaruh tidak langsung positif fasilitas belajar terhadap prestasi belajar mata pelajaran ekonomi melalui motivasi belajar pada siswa kelas XI IPS di SMA Negeri 1 Lasem.Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah sebagian dari siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Lasem tahun pelajaran 2011/2012 yaitu berjumlah 96. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis jalur (path analysis).Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa kompetensi guru berpengaruh secara langsung positif terhadap prestasi belajar mata pelajaran ekonomi sebesar 40,9%, akan tetapi tidak memiliki pengaruh secara signifikan melalui variabel motivasi belajar siswa. Motivasi belajar siswa berpengaruh secara langsung positif terhadap prestasi belajar mata pelajaran ekonomi sebesar 39,3%, dan fasilitas belajar berpengaruh secara langsung positif terhadap prestasi belajar mata pelajaran ekonomi sebesar 28,1%, serta berpengaruh secara tidak langsung positif terhadap prestasi belajar mata pelajaran ekonomi melalui motivasi belajar siswa sebesar 0,149.
