Land transportation, especially buses, plays an important role in community activities. The number of people who use buses will increase the number of buses. With the increase in the number of buses, a bus station that can accommodate adequate fleets and passengers is needed. In Karanganyar District there are 10 bus stations available but none of them are able to accommodate passengers and fleets with adequate facilities. The Government of Karanganyar has planned the development of the 2013-2032 Karanganyar Spatial Plan in the form of bus stations. One of them is located in Kebakkramat Sub-district. Bus station optimization can be combined with the existence of a shopping center as a support for activities and can be utilized by the people in surrounding areas to fulfill their needs. Bus stations and shopping centers are public facilities with high vehicle intensity and located in industrial locations which cause pollution. The green architecture approach is used as a design strategy to overcome problems and increase public awareness of the importance of caring for the environment. From this phenomenon, literature and field data are collected. Then, they are analyzed and discussed in accordance with the principles of green architecture based on criteria and benchmarks of the Green Building Council Indonesia. It is conducted to be applied to the selection of site locations, green architecture in building design, and utility systems.

The role of level II prison in Surakarta as a supporter of the correctional system is based on three aspects. The first aspect is to overcome the problem of prisoners' excess capacity in Indonesia by building prisons in every district or city so that the handling and placement of prisoners are at their place of origin. Second, Surakarta is a city that contributes to the second highest crime rate in Central Java and the lack of optimal correctional facilities that already exist. Third, the security aspects are the most important factor in establishing prison buildings, because in this era, security is not only done manually but also electronically. The combination of the two security systems can provide the concept of a more modern prison design. The discussion method applied from the beginning to the completion of the design is through the stages of problem identification and exploration, stages of data collection through precedent studies, interviews, observations, and security system theory literature. Then the analysis stages that combine data obtained with theories related to prison buildings. The results of the overall analysis include five concepts of designing prison security system design concepts in the form of deter, detect, delay, halt, and minimize.

This study aims to find the embodiment of ethnic acculturation in the vernacular architectural elements of Pontianak's old houses showing multicultural culture in the past. The Pontianak community has been a multi-ethnic community from the start, with four dominant ethnic groups forming the Pontianak city, namely the Arab, Bugis, Banjar and Riau ethnic groups. The research used a qualitative-rationalistic method with the deeply observed in field case based on the mixed approach between the historical study of the role of each ethnic group and the typology study of architectural building elements. Research sample data in the form of Pontianak old houses are houses built between the early 19th century and the mid-20th century. The results of this study, firstly, the occurrence of ethnic acculturation on the elements of housing architecture in an integrated-assimilative manner. Secondly, the existence of the order of acculturation remained alive in traditional Pontianak community institutions until the mid-20th century shows a strong indication of the continuation of Vernacular Architecture discourse of the Pontianak Malay House.

Many cities in the world are geographically located in areas prone to natural disasters. This research is a comparative study that aims to compare the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges of these cities in the process towards a resilient city despite having a high level of vulnerability to natural disasters. Some cities which are taken as case studies here show a good level of resilience to the disasters experienced. Case studies from this study are three cities namely Kobe, in Hyogo (Japan), Padang (Indonesia) and Camalig (Philippines) which use qualitative descriptive methods with SWOT analysis techniques. From the three cases studied, it was concluded that all three have the same vulnerability due to geographical location, but these three cities also have the capacity as cities that are resilient to disasters with different strengths of capital, which are able to be counterbalanced from vulnerability to resilience.

The research method uses quantitative methods by using the survey and questionnaire of 185 students at the ITB, ITS and Unpad. The results showed that Z generations students agreed with the order of preference theory in learning space attribute. This means the academic librarys on university recently should refer to the theory of learning space attribute, so the library can increase the level of the visitors.
