Abstract

The study of the Qur’an among Western thinkers seems not monolithic. In the real of orientalists who use historical analysis to respond Islam with a negative value, such as regarding the Qur’an none more than an epigonal text and not much left to be known about the Qur’an. Meanwhile, a positive understanding toward Qur’an has done by some of them, such as Angelika Neuwirth. The differences are more based on Angelika’s attempt to convey a truly contextual reading of the Qur’an, not contenting its self with dissolving the Qur’an into its Christian, Jewish, and other “sources”, but to allow for the possibility that the Qur’an may turn out to be a text of its own.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemaknaan tentang jihad dalam pandangan ketua umum Himpunan Mahasiswa Jurusa (HMJ) yang berada dilingkup Fakultas Ushuluddin Adab dan Dakwah (FUAD) UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar. Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh penyimpangan makna jihad yang dilakukan oleh kelompok teroris, maka perlu deteksi awal untuk melihat pemahaman jihad yang berkembang di mahasiswa dengan difokuskan terlebih dahulu dalam skala kecil, yaitu ketua HMJ. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan data diperoleh langsung melalui wawancara serta sumber lainnya yaitu artikel dan media online. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, terdapat dua model makna jihad jika merujuk pada pandangan kelima ketua HMJ. Pertama, jihad dimaknai sebagai sebuah “berusaha/perjuangan membela agama Allah” yang disampaikan oleh ketua HMJ Pemikiran Politik Islam (PPI), Komunikasi Penyiaran Islam (KPI), Jurnalistik Islam (JI), dan Pengembangan Masyarakat Islam (PMI). Kedua, jihad diartikan sebagai sebuah “pengorbanan dijalan Allah” yang dijelaskan oleh ketua HMJ Psikologi Islam (PSI). Kelima ketua HMJ tersebut juga menolak aksi-aksi teror yang mengatasnamakan jihad. Bagi mereka, jihad dan terorisme adalah dua hal yang berbeda, dimana jihad untuk kebaikan, sedangkan terorisme bertujuan menyebar ketakutan pada masyarakat. Tidak terdapat pemahaman radikal mengenai arti jihad oleh kelima ketua umum HMJ tersebut.

Abstract

Online learning is one solution to replace face-to-face learning in current conditions, but online learning cannot replace face-to-face learning, which can develop holistic thinking skills. Therefore, this article aims to find a strategy to overcome learning loss in Islamic education in the pandemic era. This type of research is qualitative field literature research with a descriptive analysis approach. To explore the strategy for overcoming learning loss in Islamic education in the pandemic era. This research used a phenomenology approach. In its characteristics, the phenomenology approach will show an in-depth understanding of the learning loss and its solutions. The analysis techniques are (1) content analysis, (2) Miles and Huberman (data collection, data reduction, data display, and data verification), and (3) data triangulation. The findings in this study are there are strategies to overcome the problem of learning loss, namely Creating a school atmosphere, Innovative learning media, the role of parents in understanding the material, Establishing communication with teachers.

Abstract

Indonesia adalah negara dengan beragam agama, budaya dan suku. Hal tersebut dapat mengakibatkan kemajuan bangsa, dan sebaliknya dapat mengancam eksistensi bangsa. Isu yang sering menjadi sorotan adalah pluralisme agama. Karena agama lebih sensitif dari perbedaan lainnya. Islam di Indonesia merupakan agama mayoritas yang harus berperan dalam menstabilkan kehidupan di negara ini. Pandangan moderat terhadap keberagaman agama di Indonesia harus selalu ditumbuhkan agar Indonesia menjadi negara yang majemuk dan damai. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya untuk membangun moderasi Islam sebagai cara merespons pluralisme agama di Indonesia. Dari argumentasi ini, Islam tidak menganggap semua agama sama, tetapi memperlakukannya secara setara, mengutamakan tasamukh (toleransi), syura antaragama (kasih sayang), dan sikap musawah (non-diskriminasi), dapat kita simpulkan demikian.

Abstract

Anak usia dini merupakan usia dimana semua pengetahuan dan perkembangan harus mulai di rangsangkan. Pengetahuan sebagai sumber kehidupan dunia dan akhirat. Pendidikan moral anak atau lebih dikenal dengan akhlak anak akan menuju sempurna apabila menggunakan tatanan agama yang benar. Salah satu sikap dasar yang harus dimiliki oleh anak agar mempunyai sikap yang baik dan benar adalah memiliki sikap, moral dan keagamaan yang baik sebagai umat Tuhan. Oleh karena itu seorang guru dalam pendidikan anak usia dini harus selalu berupaya dalam berbagai cara agar dapat membimbing anak mempunyai kepribadian yang baik yang dilandasi dengan nilai moral dan agama. Menurut Imam Al- Ghazali moral sama dengan khuluq, yang artinya akhlak. Dalam pandangannya, penanaman moral lebih baik dan lebih dianjurkan sejak usia dini. Tujuan pendidikan moral dalam pandangan Imam Al-Ghazali adalah membentuk manusia yang suci jiwanya dalam rangka mendekatkan diri pada Allah. Sumber pendidikan moral menurut al-Ghazali adalah wahyu dan melalui bimbingan yang ketat melalui syaikh (guru) sehingga kurang mengoptimalkan fungsi akal. Materi pendidikan moral al-Ghazali adalah: metode pembiasaan, metode keteladanan, dan metode tazkiyah an-nafs (penyucian jiwa). Oleh karena itu seorang guru PAUD harus berupaya dengan berbagai cara agar dapat membimbing anak didiknya mencapai kecerdasan moral yang sebenar-benarnya agar mempunyai kepribadian yang baik. Salah satunya pemahaman imam Ghozali tentang kecerdasan moral anak usia dini yang sudah banyak diketahui.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the spirituality of the Jewish liturgy found in the celebration of the Eucharist and its impact on the involvement of Indonesian Catholics in socio-political life. This study emerged from the concern that the Indonesian people, who are actually rich in spiritual values, in fact behave badly in their socio-political life which is characterized by acts of corruption. This research raises the awareness of Catholics to be actively involved in socio-political life and color it with gospel values. This vocation will be realized if the Eucharist as the source and summit of Christian life really renews and encourages Catholics in Indonesia to take part in God's mission to save all people. So the Eucharist must draw from the spirituality contained in Jewish worship as the locus of a personal encounter with the God who saves. This study uses the qualitative method by conducting a literature study on the liturgy in the Jewish and Christian traditions and then connecting them to today's socio-political issues. This study has found that the spirituality of the Jewish liturgy as the root of the Christian liturgy is able to bring renewal in the lives of Catholics, especially their involvement in realizing justice, peace, and social welfare.

Abstract

This article discusses the Christianization carried out by Kiai Sadrach by reviving Javanese traditions and culture in the Purworejo area, Central Java. Javanese society is a society that is known to be thick with the problems of tradition and culture in it. Until now, Javanese traditions and culture still dominate in giving color to the diversity of state life in Indonesia. In the nineteenth century western missionaries began to spread the teachings of Christianity, but were considered a failure in their movement because they did not want to compromise with local traditions and culture. So that the Javanese people find it difficult to accept these teachings. So Kiai Sadrach emerged as a propagator of Christianity from the indigenous group. The purpose of this research is to scientifically examine the discussion of Javanese traditional methods and culture in the Christianization that was brought to life by Kiai Sadrach in Purworejo, Central Java, in terms of worship and social relations in the environment. In the process of collecting data, using library research and using two methods. The first is descriptive method, which is to explain and explain Javanese traditions and culture. The second method is historical, namely explaining the Christianization movement carried out by Kiai Sadrach during the Dutch colonial period. In this case, the researcher found that there was a method in reviving Javanese tradition and culture in the teachings of Christianity which was spread by Kiai Sadrach to the Javanese community. The first method is found in the pattern of Christian worship. Then the second method is found in the pattern of social relations in the environment.

Abstract

One of the urban problems is poverty, as is the case in Surabaya, which had a poverty rate of 136.37 thousand people in 2023. This poverty rate is the result of the Surabaya city government's intervention through various poverty alleviation programs. Previously, the poverty rate in Surabaya was 138.21 thousand people in March 2022, which decreased to 136.37 thousand people in March 2023. The success of the Surabaya city government in reducing poverty raises the question of whether this reduction in poverty is purely due to government intervention through its programs, or if there is also a role played by social institutions, specifically LAZIS Muhammadiyah Surabaya, which has poverty alleviation programs similar to those implemented by the Surabaya government. This research uses a qualitative research method with an empirical approach. In this study, it was found that LAZISMU (Lembaga Zakat Infak dan Shadaqah Muhammadiyah) Surabaya focuses on helping the poor residents of Surabaya to alleviate their burdens through at least six main programs, namely: education, health, social-humanitarian, economy, environment, and dakwah (Islamic preaching). These programs are almost identical to those carried out by the Surabaya government in its poverty alleviation interventions. Our research found that the social philanthropy programs conducted by LAZISMU Surabaya contributed to the reduction of poverty in Surabaya. Keywords: Poverty, Philanthropy, LAZISMU
