Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan dan menghasilkan angket motivasi belajar fisika (AMBF) yang layak digunakan untuk mengukur motivasi siswa. Angket ini terdiri dari 40 pernyataan dengan 7 aspek motivasi meliputi ketertarikan belajar fisika, strategi belajar, faktor lingkungan belajar, faktor guru, fakor media, karir, dan self-efficacy. Setiap pernyataan angket terlebih dahulu divalidasi oleh ahli diantaranya bahasa, psikologi, dan pendidikan fisika. Selanjutnya, angket diberikan kepada 150 orang siswa sekolah menengah atas di kota Pontianak. Berdasarkan uji statistik diperoleh nilai Cronbach Alpha sebesar 0,91 dengan kategori sangat baik. Respon siswa menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa (70%) setuju bahwa siswa senang belajar fisika karena mempelajari kejadian-kejadian (fenomena) dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kemudian sekitar 75% dari responden menyatakan bahwa siswa senang belajar fisika karena guru menggunakan alat peraga ketika mengajar. Sekitar 80% siswa merespon bahwa mereka lebih memilih belajar secara tatap muka dibanding secara daring. Terakhir, sekitar 70% siswa menyatakan bahwa mereka belajar fisika dengan sungguh-sungguh agar dapat diterima di perguruan tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil studi pilot, angket motivasi belajar fisika ini layak digunakan untuk skala yang lebih besar.This study aims to develop and generate a physics learning motivation survey that will be used to measure students’ motivation. This survey has 40 items and covers seven motivational aspects: interest in learning physics, learning strategies, learning environment, teachers’ factors, media factors, future carrier, and self-efficacy. Firstly, each survey item is validated by experts: language, psychology, and physics education. Then the survey is administered to 150 senior high school students in Pontianak. Based on statistical analysis, the coefficient of Alpha Cronbach is 0.91, which is very good. Students’ responses show that most students (70%) agree that they like to learn physics because it covers phenomena daily. Then about 75% of the respondents enjoy learning physics because their teachers use tools (kit) for teaching. About 80% of the students choose to learn in the classroom (face to face) than virtual learning (online). Lastly, about 70% of students respond that they are motivated to learn physics to be accepted at universities. Based on a pilot study, a physics learning motivation survey is valid for a large-scale population.

Abstract

Analisis tren perkembangan penelitian pembelajaran fisika berbasis STEM pada tahun 2011-2021 dengan menggunakan metode bibliometrik bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan, (1) perkembangan publikasi ditinjau dari jumlah, tipe dan bahasa;, (2) top sepuluh publikasi berdasarkan negara, institusi dan peneliti di dunia dan Negara Indonesia;, (3) media ilmiah dan subjek publikasi ilmiah;, (4) visualisasi VOSviewer perkembangan publikasi;, dan (5) visualisasi VOSviewer perkembangan publikasi berdasarkan peneliti. Pengumpulan data melalui penelusuran di Scopus dengan kategori artikel, abstrak dan kata kunci pada tahun 2011-2021. Database dianalisis menggunakan software VOSviewer dan Microsoft Excel 2010. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui tipe dokumen publikasi berupa conference proceeding, jurnal, buku series dan buku dengan penelitian tertinggi pada tahun 2020. Negara yang banyak mempublikasikan penelitian pembelajaran fisika berbasis STEM adalah United States, dan Universitas Negeri Malang menduduki tingkat pertama yang aktif dalam mengulas pembelajaran fisika berbasis STEM tahun 2011-2021. Social sciences adalah subjek yang banyak diulas dan Journal of Physics Conference Series masuk dalam prosiding yang aktif dalam mempublikasikan pembelajaran fisika berbasis STEM. Pada visualisasi VOSviewer publikasi pembelajaran fisika berbasis STEM terbukti dapat mengembangkan keterampilan abad ke-21. Namun, belum ada peneliti yang mengkaji keterampilan cross-cultural understanding, communication dan career & learning self-reliance dalam pembelajaran fisika berbasis STEM. Selain itu, visualisasi VOSviewer berdasarkan pengarang ditemukan 23 klaster. Berdasarkan temuan ini, penelitian pembelajaran fisika berbasis STEM direkomendasikan untuk dikembangkan lebih lanjut, terutama yang berkaitan dengan keterampilan cross-cultural understanding, communication, dan career & learning self-reliance. Trend analysis of the STEM-based development of physics learning research in 2011-2021 using a bibliometric method to describe (1) Publication growth in terms of quantity, type, and language; (2) Country, institution, and author rankings of top ten publications; (3) core journals and scientific publication subjects, (4) VOSviewer visualization of publication developments; (5) Researcher-driven visualization of VOSviewer publication developments. We used the Scopus database to collect articles, abstracts, and keywords in 2011-2021. VOSviewer software and Microsoft Excel 2010 were used to analyze the database. Research results, conference proceedings, journals, book series, and books will have the highest research in 2020. The United States and state universities are frequent publishers of STEM-based physics learning studies. Malang achieved the status of a first-level research institution. Social science`s subject is often reviewed, and the Journal of Physics Conference Series`s included in a scientific media that is active in publishing STEM-based physics learning. In the VOSviewer visualization of development, STEM-based physics learning proves able to develop 21st-century skills. However, in STEM-based physics learning, no studies have been done on cross-cultural comprehension, communication, and career and learning self-reliance; A VOSviewer graphic created by the author also detected 23 clusters. Based on these findings, STEM-based physics learning research is recommended to be further developed, especially those related to cross-cultural understanding, communication, and career & learning self-reliance skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Discovery Learning learning model on physics learning which is reviewed based on all verified articles, education level, research results or response variables, media used, and learning materials. The research method used is meta-analysis. The flow of the meta-analysis research is the first to determine the research topic, the second to determine the criteria for selecting the data, the third to search for the data, the fourth to classify the data information, and finally to analyze and conclude. The data collected is secondary data derived from previous research in the form of 22 scientific publication articles. The data analysis technique uses effect size values. The results of this meta-analysis obtained an average effect size value of 0.852. The application of Discovery Learning in learning physics has a big effect when applied at the high school level and can improve science process skills in students. Discovery Learning has a big influence on the kinetic theory of gases with rocky virtual lab learning media.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbandingan kepuasan siswa terhadap pembelajaran fisika secara online antara siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan smartphone dan siswa yang menggunakan laptop. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dimana metode yang digunakan adalah survei. Pada penelitian ini pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara membagikan kuisioner kepada responden melalui google formulir. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan menggunakan teknik Convenience Sampling dimana siswa tingkat SMA dan MA jurusan IPA dari 8 sekolah di Provinsi Bengkulu yang mengisi kuisioner sebagai sampelnya. Dari kuisioner yang dibagikan diperoleh data sebanyak 525 responden. Data yang diperoleh akan dianalisis dengan menggunakan Uji Mann Whitney dikarenakan data tidak berdistribusi normal. Berdasarkan analisis data yang telah dilakukan diperoleh hasil signifikansi perhitungan p-value sebesar 0,808 lebih besar dari 0,05. Dari hasil ini, dapat dikatakan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara tingkat kepuasan siswa yang menggunakan Smartphone dan siswa yang menggunakan laptop dalam pembelajaran fisika sistem online. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan dalam pembelajaran fisika secara online baik siswa yang menggunakan Smartphone maupun laptop memperoleh kepuasan yang hampir sama, dengan tingkat kepuasan terkategori puas. This study aims to compare student satisfaction with online physics learning between students who study using smartphones and students who use laptops. This type of research is quantitative research, where the method used is a survey. In this study, data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to respondents via google forms. The sample in this study was taken using the technique Convenience Sampling, where high school and MA level students majoring in science from 8 schools in Bengkulu province filled out questionnaires as samples. From the questionnaires, distributed data obtained as many as 525 respondents. The data obtained will be analyzed using the Mann Whitney test because the data is not normally distributed. Based on the data analysis that has been carried out, the calculation results of the significance of the p-value of 0.808 are greater than 0.05. From these results, it can be said that there is no significant difference between the level of satisfaction of students who use smartphones and students who use laptops in online learning physics. So, it can be concluded that in online physics learning, both students who use smartphones and laptops get almost the same satisfaction, with the level of satisfaction categorized as satisfied.

Abstract

Di masa pandemi covid-19 dengan kasus penularan yang cukup tinggi, kegiatan belajar mengajar harus dilaksanakan secara daring, sehingga para guru maupun siswa harus siap menghadapi era baru yaitu era new normal. Aspek utama keberhasilan belajar siswa adalah motivasi. Oleh sebab itu perlu dilakukan riset ini untuk menganalisis bagaimana motivasi belajar siswa SMA pada pembelajaran daring terutama berfokus pada pengukuran motivasi 2 (dua) tingkat. Riset ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif tipe survey dengan metode memberikan angket kepada siswa-siswi SMA di 6 (enam) sekolah yang melaksanakan pembelajaran fisika di era new normal dengan jumlah 305 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data didapatkan melalui penyebaran angket. Angket yang disebarkan terdiri atas 2 (dua) tingkatan yaitu, motivasi siswa belajar fisika dan persepsi siswa mengenai pembelajaran daring. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa siswa mempunyai persepsi belajar daring yang positif dan motivasi belajar fisika yang cukup tinggi. Pada variabel motivasi sangat tidak sepakat sebesar 6%, tidak sepakat 16%, sepakat 56% sangat sepakat 22%. Sedangkan pada variabel persepsi pembelajaran daring dengan hasil sangat tidak sepakat sebesar 4%, tidak sepakat 9%, sepakat 64% , dan sangat sepakat 23%. Adapun implikasi pentingnya hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai data awal dan sebagai saran perbaikan pendidikan di era new normal. During the COVID-19 pandemic with a fairly high number of transmission cases, teaching and learning activities must be carried out online, so that teachers and students must be ready to face a new era, namely the new normal era. The main aspect of student learning success is motivation. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct this research to analyze how high school students' motivation in online learning is primarily focused on measuring 2 (two) levels of motivation. This research is a descriptive quantitative survey type with the method of giving questionnaires to high school students in 6 (six) schools that carry out physics learning in the new normal era with a total of 305 respondents. Data collection techniques were obtained through the distribution of questionnaires. The questionnaire distributed consisted of 2 (two) levels, namely, students' motivation to learn physics and students' perceptions of online learning. The results of the descriptive analysis show that students have a positive perception of online learning and a fairly high motivation to learn physics. On the motivation variable strongly disagree at 6%, disagree 16%, agree 56% strongly agree 22%. Meanwhile, on the online learning perception variable, 4% strongly disagree, 9% disagree, 64% agree, and strongly agree 23%. The implications of the importance of the results of this study are as initial data and as suggestions for improving education in the new normal.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis gambaran ketersediaan peralatan, Bahan ajar, ketersediaan administrasi dan keterlaksanaan kegiatan praktikum di laboratorium fisika SMA Negeri kecamatan Pangkajene. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelian deskriptif kuantitatif, dengab subjek penelitian adalah 3 kepala Laboratorium. Penelitian ini menggunakan lembar observasi dan dokumentasi sebagai instrumen penelitian. Hasil penelitian pada Laborarorium Fisika SMA Negeri Kecamatan Pangkep menunjukan ketersediaan peralatan praktikum diperoleh rerata 31,56 berada pada kategori kurang, ketersediaan bahan ajar memperoleh rerata  26,67 berada pada kategori kurang, ketersediaan administrasi laboratorium diperoleh rerata 10,25 berada pada kategori kurang serta keterlaksanaan kegiatan praktikum diperoleh rerata 41,81 juga berada pada kategori kurang. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi pertimbangan kepada kepala laboratorium meningkatkan kinerja dalam mengorganisasikan pelaksanaan praktikum di Sekolah/Madrasah. This study aims of this study was to analyze the description of the availability of equipment, teaching materials, availability of administration and the implementation of practicum activities in the physics laboratory of SMA Negeri Pangkajene sub-district. This research uses quantitative descriptive research, with research subjects are 3 heads of laboratories. This study uses observation sheets and documentation as research instruments. The results of the research at the Physics Laboratory of SMA Negeri Pangkep District showed that the availability of practicum equipment obtained an average of 31.56 in the less category, the availability of teaching materials obtained an average of 26.67 in the less category, the availability of laboratory administration obtained an average of 10.25 was in the less category and implementation practicum activities obtained an average of 41.81 also in the less category. The results of this study can be considered for the head of the laboratory to improve performance in organizing the implementation of practicum in schools/madrasahs.

Abstract

The enactment of Work from Home (WFH) during the Covid-19 pandemic has affected educational activities. Conventional offline learning must be held online so that effective online learning media is needed. The screencast is an online learning media that believed can provide easy access to students in conducting an online lecture. The screencast is a digital video recording on the computer screen and usually includes audio narration. This study aimed to analyze students' perception on screencast use in 1st Basic Physics lectures during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research involved 76 physics education students in one of the higher education institutions in Tasikmalaya. They consist of 9 males and 67 females in the age range (18-21 years). This research is a descriptive study, with data collection techniques using a Likert scale questionnaire. Analysis of students' perceptions of screencast aspects (content, construct, language, and graphic) are good, with a value of 79. Then, analysis of screencast implications on changes in students' knowledge and skills are a good category with a value of 78. The analysis of students' perceptions found a positive response using screencast in 1st Basic Physics lecture. The screencast can be effective online learning media to enhance student's knowledge and skills

Abstract

This study aims to, 1) analyze the understanding of the concepts of students who are taught by the cooperative script learning model using the gasing method with the help of the media couple card class XI MIA SMAN 2 Bantaeng, 2) analyze the understanding of the physics concepts of students who are taught using conventional learning models for class XI MIA. SMAN 2 Bantaeng, and 3) analyze the differences in conceptual understanding between students taught the cooperative script learning model using the gasing method assisted by the couple card media and the conventional learning model in class XI MIA SMAN 2 Bantaeng. This type of research is quasi-experimental. The research design is The Matching Only Post-Test Control Group Design. The research population was all students of class XI MIA SMAN 2 Bantaeng. The research sample is class XI MIA 1 and class XI MIA 3. The sampling technique used is two-step matching sampling. The research instrument is a conceptual understanding test. The results showed that 1) the understanding of the concepts of students who were taught with the cooperative script learning model using the gasing method assisted by the couple card media in the experimental class was categorized as very good with an average value of 89.38; 2) understanding of the concepts of students who are taught using conventional learning models in the control class is categorized as good with an average value of 79.61; 3) there is a significant difference in conceptual understanding between students who are taught with the cooperative script learning model using the gasing method assisted by the couple card media and the conventional learning model. The research implies that the cooperative script model using the gasing method with the help of the couple card media influences students' understanding of concepts better than conventional learning models.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterampilan proses sains pada materi suhu dan kalor di SMA selama pembelajaran online yang dimana penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. dalam penelitian ini sampel yang dipakai ialah siswa salah satu SMA di Kabuten Karo kelas XII yang berjumlah 30 orang instrumen penelitian 10 butir soal uraian ketrampilan proses sains. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif lalu Didapatkan dari hasil analisis data yang sudah diolah bahwa keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas XII dalam menyelesaikan soal keterampilan proses sains pada tiap aspek mulai dari aspek mengajukan pertanyaan skor rata rata yang diperoleh sebesar 2,98 dan persentase skor rata rata sebesar 74,5%, aspek berhipotesis skor rata rata yang diperoleh 2,83 dan persentase skor rata rata sebesar 70,8%, aspek merencanakan percobaan skor rata rata yang diperoleh 3,695 dan persentase skor rata rata sebesar 84,3%, aspek interpretasi rata rata yang diperoleh sebesar 2,63 dan persentase skor rata rata sebesar 65,75%, dan aspek komunikasi skor rata rata yang diperoleh 5,76 dan persentase skor rata rata sebesar 57,6%. Sehingga diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa aspek keterampilan proses sains siswa SMA tersebut masih dalam kategori baik dengan rata rata skor keseluruhan diperoleh sebesar 3,58 dan persentase skor rata rata keseluruhan sebesar 70,59%. Hal ini mungkin disebabkan karena selama pembelajaran daring siswa SMA di sekolah tersebut dapat mengikuti proses pembelajaran fisika dengan baik sehingga setelah dilakukan analisis keterampilan proses sains maka diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa keterampilan proses sains salah satu SMA di kabupaten Karo berada dalam kategori baik. Kemudian manfaat ataupun dampak dari hasil penelitian ini adalah selama pembelajaran online guru dapat menambah pengetahuan dan pemahamannya bahwa keterampilan proses sains siswa selama pembelajaran online berada dalam kategori baik, serta dapat mengenal bagaimana karakteristik siswa dalam belajar fisika selama pembelajaran online. Dan penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan kajian bagi peneliti selanjutnya dalam menganalisis keterampilan proses sains fisika siswa SMA selama pembelajaran online This study aims to analyze science process skills on temperature and heat material in high school during online learning, which is included in quantitative descriptive research. In this study, the sample used was 30 students from one of the high schools in Karo regency, class XII. The type of research carried out is descriptive quantitative research, and the research instruments 11 items about the description of science process skills. It was obtained from the result of data analysis that had been processed that the science process skills of class XII students in solving science process skills question in each aspect starting from the aspect of asking the question the average score obtained was 2.98. The average score percentage was 74.5%, aspect hypothesis that the average score obtained is 2.83, and the average score percentage is 70.8%, the aspect of planning the experiment the average score is 3.7 and the percentage of the average score is 84.3%, the average interpretation aspect is 2.63, and the average score percentage is 67.75%. The communication aspect average score is 5.76, and the average score percentage is 57.6%. So that it can be concluded that the science process skills aspect of the high school students is still in the good category with an average overall score of 3.58 and the percentage of the overall average score of 70.59%, this may be because during online learning high school students at the school can follow the physics learning process well, so after analyzing the science process skills, it can be concluded that the science process skills of one of the high schools in Karo district are in the good category. Then the implications of the results of this study include During online learning, the teacher can increase their knowledge and understanding that students’ science process skills during online learning are in a good category And can recognize the characteristics of the students in learning physics during online learning. This research is expected to be a study material for further researchers in analyzing the physics process skills of high school students during online learning.

Abstract

Blended Learning sebagai model pembelajaran di lembaga pendidikan yang mengkombinasikan pembelajaran campuran yaitu offline dengan online. Adanya penelitian ini yang tujuannya mendeskripsikan persepsi peserta didik pada model Blended Learning mata pelajaran Fisika khususnya pada masa pandemi Covid-19, sehingga menjadi bahan evaluasi dalam implementasi Blended Learning di sekolah. Jenis penelitiannya adalah deskriptif. Tempat pelaksanaannya di salah satu SMA Kota Bengkulu. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 20 peserta didik dipilih dari 95 peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 1-3, melalui teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket persepsi dan lembar observasi. Angket persepsi yang dirancang sebanyak 30 butir dengan tingkat reliabilitas angket sebesar (0,736) dengan kategori baik. Teknik analisis penelitian ini memakai metode analisis deskriptif serta pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian menghasilkan bahwa persepsi peserta didik sangat beragam dan mendapatkan suport yang positif dari semua aspek/pihak tentang persepsi peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran Blended Learning pada mata pelajaran Fisika.   Blended learning as a learning model in educational institutions that composite blended learning, online educational materials and opportunities for interaction online with traditional place-based classroom methods. This study aims to describe student perceptions of the blended learning model in physical subjects, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, to become an evaluation material in implementing Blended Learning in schools. This type of research is descriptive. The place of implementation is in one of the Bengkulu City High Schools. The research sample amounted to 20 students selected from 95 class XI MIPA 1-3 through a simple random sampling technique. The research instrument is in the form of a perception and observation sheet. In the form of perception questions, designed as many as 30 items with a questionnaire reliability level of (0.736) with a good category. In the analysis methodology of this study, the descriptive analysis method and quantitative approaches are used. The study found if students will receive positive support in all aspects of how students perceive Blended Learning in physics.
