Abstract

Abstract.This research is a descriptive research that aims to know the self-efficacy profile of students based on biology learning result. The population in this study is all students of class X MIA MAN 1 Makassar, sample of research is 68 people. Data collection was conducted in even semester of academic year 2017/2018. Data of self-efficacy obtained by questionnaire and biology learning result obtained from biology learning result test. Data of self-efficacy and biology learning result analyzed by using descriptive statistics. The results showed that: (1) for students with very high, high and medium of biology learning result have not self-efficacy (2) for students with low and very low of biology learning result have self-efficacy.Keywords:descriptive research, self-efficacy, biology learning result.

Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to develop test based on critical thinking skills and its relevance as an evaluation tools in garde XI senior high school which are valid, practical and can measure student critical thinking skills. The subject of this research were high school students of grade XI. The process of developing test based on critical thinking skills was carried out using the ADDIE development model consists of analysis, design, develop, implementation and evaluation. The test developed was 11 items representing 11 indicators of critical thinking. Based on the results of research, the average value of validity shows 4.42 and includes a very valid criterion. The results of the implementation at SMAN 8 Makassar show that the test is very practical with a practicality value of 4.53 with the percentage of student responses being 70% with good criteria. The results of item analysis were obtained by the eleven questions having good quality in terms of validity, reliability, level of difficulty and discrimination. The level of critical thinking skills possessed by students is 48% with moderate criteria.Keywords: test, critical thinking skills, ADDIE.

Abstract

Abstract.Achieving effective teaching and learning is not possible only with methods that are teacher centered or one-way communication, but must also be a method that is multi-purpose or student centered. The study aims to determine the improvement of the quality of the process and student learning outcomes with experiential learning on biology subjects. Research is a class action research, as an alternative effort that can be done by teachers to develop and improve the quality of learning, where classroom teachers are actors of action or teachers as researchers. This research is a cyclical study consisting of 4 stages, namely: planning, taking action, observing and reflecting. This research was conducted in class X MIPA 7 in Makassar 1 Public High School, with 34 subjects as subjects, in the even semester 2018/2019 academic year. The results showed that the process and results of learning biology can be improved by using experiential learning in class X MIPA 7 Makassar 1 Public High School. Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to develop learning media products in the form of interactive multimedia based on Mindjet MindManager which combines several media (text, images, animated videos and interactive quizzes) for biology of plantae material or plant world. This study uses the Research and Development (R & D) method using the ADDIE development model, namely analysis (analyze), design (design), development (implementation), implementation (implementation), and evaluation (evaluation). Mind manager-based Mindjet-based interactive multimedia products are focused on the varied learning process and the activity of students in learning. This development aims to produce interactive multimedia products that are valid and practical. The data collection tool used is in the form of validity assessment and practicality instruments. The assessment results from expert validators show that the products developed are feasible to use and obtain a validity value of 4.3 with a percentage value of 85% that meets the validity standard and can be used as a learning medium. Teachers and students also show a positive response to interactive multimedia. The practicality of the media obtained teacher responses with a value of 94.2% and responses of students with a value of 87.9% (very practical). Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the interactive multimedia learning media developed are valid and practical, and feasible to be applied in the learning system.Keywords: interactive multimedia, mindjet mindmanager, ADDIE, valid, practical

Abstract

Abstract.The research model used is Research and Development (R & D) which aims to produce flipbook-based electronic teaching materials that are integrated with valid curriculum and content standards. The subjects of this study were 2 persons biology teacher, and thirty-one students in class XI SMA 3 Makassar. This research was carried out by using the modification of the ADDIE development model which consisted of the stages of Analyze, Design, Dvevelopment, Implementation, and Evaluation. The data collected is data on the results of the flipbook-based electronic teaching material validation obtained from media and material expert validation questionnaires, the practicality obtained from the questionnaire tested through students and teachers, and the results of effectiveness obtained from the metacognitive awareness questionnaire and test results filled by students of class XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 3 Makassar. Data obtained from the results of the study were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. Flipbook-based electronic teaching materials. developed has several components such as learning material, animation and learning videos, pictures, practice questions, and evaluation questions. The results of the study show that the average value of the total validity of flipbook-based electronic teaching materials as a whole is in the very valid category (4.59). The overall student response is in a very practical category (4.14). Teacher response is in a very practical category (4.28). The overall metacognition awareness of students is in the good category (3.97). Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the flipbook-based electronic teaching material for class XI high school studied has a high level of validity.Keywords:learning materials, e-books, metacognitive, development.

Abstract

Abstract. Technological developments affect people's lifestyles. Including in high school students, currently many high school students have an Android-based mobile phone whose utilization is not maximal. The use of learning media is something that cannot be separated and is already an integration of the learning methods used, learning media can explain what the teacher is less able to say through words, so abstractness in a subject concept can be concretized. This study aims to determine the potential use of android-based learning media in the XI class of high school animal material. With the use of android students can repeat animal network material and students can better understand the concepts in learning, can repeat lessons that have not yet been understood as a result of lack of face-to-face time in class, and can also make students independent learning because of the availability of subject matter which can be accessed anywhere using Android. The results of this study indicate that the use of android in learning can attract students' interest and motivation in learning and also help students understand concepts in animal tissue material and can make students learn independently. The development of animation learning media that can be run on an Android-based device can increase the benefits of using Android-based devices and help the learning process of students using Android-based devices. This development and research use research and development design based on the ADDIE development model.Keywords: android application, learning media

Abstract

Abstract. Improving the quality of education through the research of classroom action research which aim to improved learning activities and learning outcomes of learner through applied the learning method of mind mapping in structure and function of animal tissue. The subject of this researched was learners of XI IPA 3 SMAN 1 Pinrang which total 48 learners of school year 2017/2018. Qualitative data which investigated was learning activities observed by observer since learning process, while the quantitative data obtained from the score of making mind mapping, essay test and learning evaluation test. The result of this researched showed that there is enhancement of learning activities on the 1st cycle showed the percentage of learners was 72% for at all indicators which was observed, while on the 2nd cycle enhancement learning activities percentage of learners was 100%. For at all indicators which was observed. The outcomes of learner’s data obtained in the 1st cycle with total the learners not complete was 18 people with percentage 38%, while the outcomes of learners complete was 30 people with percentage 63%. While the outcomes of learners in the 2nd cycle increased with the learners not complete was 6 people with 13%, while the outcomes of learners complete was 42 people with percentage 88%. The Aims of this research: 1) To find out the improvement of science process skills of students in exact sience 3 grade 12th through the application of a problem-based learning model in SMA Negeri 2 Sidenreng Rappang. 2) To find out the improvement of student learning outcomes on biology subjects through the application of the problem-based learning model in exact science 3 grade 12th at SMA Negeri 2 Sidnreng Rappang. The subjects in this study were students in exact science 3 grade 12th in SMA Negeri 2 Sidenreng Rappang in the academic year of 2017/2018 with 34 students consisting of 13 male students and 21 female students. Data collection on student process skills during the learning process takes place obtained from the results of subsequent observations of data on student learning outcomes obtained from the results of student evaluations conducted at the end of each cycle. To find out the results of student test evaluations conducted at the end of each cycle using quantitative analysis. Research results show that the application of the problem-based learning model can improve science process skills and learning outcomes of students in exact science 3 grade 12th in SMA Negeri 2 Sidenreng Rappang. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the problem-based learning model in learning activities can improve science process skills and learning outcomes in Exact Science 3 grade12th in SMA Negeri 2 Sidrap.Keywords: problem-based learning model, the concept of mutations

Abstract

Abstract. The type of research is research and development (R & D). The purpose of this research was to develop of Biological learning module based on Scale Process Skills (SPS) on material structure and function of tissue animal that is valid and practical for Senior High School students. The development procedure used in this study is the ADDIE model which consists of five stages namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection was done through the validation process of the learning module and questionnaire responses of students and teachers to the learning module. The collected data was analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study indicate that SPS of based biology learning modules were "valid" and "very practical". Valid because the SPS of based biology learning module developed has fulfilled the validity criteria in the valid category. The learning module is said to be very practical because students and teachers respond very positively to the learning module.Keywords: biology module, science process skills, structure and function of  animals tissue

Abstract

Abstract.This research was discussing the importance of improving the quality of the process and learning outcomes through various optimal learning models, while the teacher holds a very important role in involving students who take learning. The purpose of this study was to improve the learning outcomes of Zion High School students through the jigsaw cooperative learning model in biology subjects for the academic year 2017/2018. This research is a Classroom Action research, which discusses student factors, teacher factors and student learning outcomes. The location of this study was in Zion Makassar High School, 30th grade science as many as 30 students in the even semester of the academic year 2017/2018. Implementation of the action consists of 3 (three) cycles followed by Observation and Reflection activities. Cooperative learning type jigsaw can improve student learning outcomes. Cooperative learning type jigsaw learning is very positive, and student learning outcomes increase each cycle.Keywords: biology learning outcomes, type jigsaw cooperative learning.
