Abstract

Abstract. The use of learning media is something that cannot be separated and is already an integration of the learning methods used, learning media can explain what the teacher is not able to say through words, so abstractness is in accordance with the existing concepts. This study aims to study how the influence of the use of android-based learning media on learning biology circulating class XI SMA. By using android students can better understand the concepts in learning, can repeat lessons that do not need to consider from face to face time in class, and can also make students to learn independently because of the availability of subject matter that can be accessed using Android. The results of this study prove that the incorporation of android in learning can attract students' interest and motivation in learning and also help students understand the concepts in the circulation system and can make students learn independently. Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to develop test based on critical thinking skills and its relevance as an evaluation tools in garde XI senior high school which are valid, practical and can measure student critical thinking skills. The subject of this research were high school students of grade XI. The process of developing test based on critical thinking skills was carried out using the ADDIE development model consists of analysis, design, develop, implementation and evaluation. The test developed was 11 items representing 11 indicators of critical thinking. Based on the results of research, the average value of validity shows 4.42 and includes a very valid criterion. The results of the implementation at SMAN 8 Makassar show that the test is very practical with a practicality value of 4.53 with the percentage of student responses being 70% with good criteria. The results of item analysis were obtained by the eleven questions having good quality in terms of validity, reliability, level of difficulty and discrimination. The level of critical thinking skills possessed by students is 48% with moderate criteria.Keywords: test, critical thinking skills, ADDIE.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning model on student learning outcomes on environmental change material for class X SMA Negeri 4 Pinrang. This type of research is quasi-experimental research (Quasy Experimental). The sample of this study were students of class X MIA SMA Negeri 4 Pinrang who were selected by random sampling. In class X MIA 3 as an experimental class that is given treatment by learning using the PjBL learning model, while in class XI MIA II as a control class is taught using a direct learning model. The data collection technique used is in the form of multiple choice (multiple choice) as many as 25 items. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results showed that students who were taught with the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model had an average score of 73.0 in the very good category. Meanwhile, the learning outcomes of students who were taught with the direct learning model had an average score of 71.29 in the good category and there was an influence of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model on student learning outcomes on environmental change material at SMA Negeri 4 Pinrang.Keyword: learning models, Project Based Learning (PjBL), learning outcome

Abstract

Abstract.  This research is a classroom action research. The purpose of this study improves the activity and student learning outcomes through application of learning strategy Everyone is a Teacher Here. Research subjects are students of class X.I SMA Negeri 3 Sengkang. This research carried out during two cycles. Data collection implemented in the second semester of academic year 2016/2017. This research measure learning activity and learning outcomes. Learning activity measure with observation sheet and learning outcomes measure with written test consist of multiple-choice question as much as 20 items. Student learning activities collected during the learning process observed by 3 observers using observation sheet, then learning outcomes data obtained through evaluation when teaching’s time first and second meeting was done and on third meeting was evaluation.  This matter occurs on each cycle. All the data obtained were analyzed through three ways: qualitative analysis for student learning activities, quantitative for student learning outcomes. Results of research on student learning activity that has been analyzed shows the average in the first cycle of 55.6%, while in the second cycle of 67.2%, so the difference in the increase of 11.6%. Student learning outcomes also increased where the average value on observation data of 69.6, 64.4 the first cycle, and the second cycle 74.8. It can be concluded that the application of learning strategy Everyone is a Teacher Here can increase the activity and student learning outcomes. Abstract

Abstract. This Research and Development (R and D) concerns on learning media development regarding electronic magazine (e-magazine) for Plant Growth and Development subject. The R and D’s model used Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate (ADDIE). Validity test obtained from two expert validators and Practicality test obtained from the using of media by teacher and students. The Develop stage of this study conducted by validating e-magazine for further be implemented on SMAN 10 Gowa, Class of XII4 Natural Science. The number of subjects comprised of 29 students. Data collected from interview, observation and questionnaire. The result of validity test showed the average of media feasibility percentage is  82%. While the subject matter feasibility gained 81%. Both of these result showed very decent category which was meant that the media is feasible to be used. The average of teacher and students respond gained 83% and 81 % respectively toward positive respond. From the point of feasibility which had been evaluated by validity and practical test, this study can be conclude that emagazine is valid and practice learning media to be implemented in learning process. Abstract

Abstract.  This study aims to create a learning material product contains scientific process activities for increasing the activity and optimize skill of student which is valid. The development study has done refers to ADDIE model with five processes that, analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Based on analysis of the result of validation test, this cell worksheet has validity value for 80,6%, so it is valid. This result refers metabolism student worksheet is valid. Abstract

Abstract: This research is descriptive correlational with a simple paradigm research design that aims to find out the correlation between study habits and student learning outcomes. The sample of this study is a saturated sample that is entirely from the population of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Tinambung amounting to 85 students, saturated sample intends to make generalizations with very small errors. Measured study habits include 7 indicators, namely regular Biology learning, preparation for learning in the night, came early to attend the class, conditions / learning atmosphere, learning to understand and to the point, habit of facing exams and practice of visiting the library. The study data of study habits were obtained through a questionnaire and the learning outcomes were obtained from secondary data on the student achievement of the even semester of the 2018/2019 school year which were then processed by Product Moment correlation analysis (r) and the coefficient of determination. The results showed that (1) Study habits of students grade XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Tinambung is at a good category with an average of 71.98. (2) Biology achievement of student grade XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Tinambung is found out in high category with an average of 76.12. (3) There is a relationship between the study habits and biology achievement of eleventh grade students at senior high school 1 Tinambung. The correlation level obtained is 11.5% and classified as weak or low correlation. Keywords: student habits, student achievements.

Abstract

Abstract.Achieving effective teaching and learning is not possible only with methods that are teacher centered or one-way communication, but must also be a method that is multi-purpose or student centered. The study aims to determine the improvement of the quality of the process and student learning outcomes with experiential learning on biology subjects. Research is a class action research, as an alternative effort that can be done by teachers to develop and improve the quality of learning, where classroom teachers are actors of action or teachers as researchers. This research is a cyclical study consisting of 4 stages, namely: planning, taking action, observing and reflecting. This research was conducted in class X MIPA 7 in Makassar 1 Public High School, with 34 subjects as subjects, in the even semester 2018/2019 academic year. The results showed that the process and results of learning biology can be improved by using experiential learning in class X MIPA 7 Makassar 1 Public High School. Abstract

Abstract. This study aimed to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors of the implementation of biology practicum in the senior high school in Kaimana Distcrit Kaimana Regency school year 2018/2019. This study was descriptive study. Sample in this study were the teachers in grade IX MIA SMA N 1 which is the class of experiment 1 and the teacher in grade IX MIA in SMA YPPK as the class of experiment 2. Data in this study was obtained by using purposive sampling technique. Data collection technique was done by questionnaire. Data in this study was analysed by using descriptive stastistical. The result of the study showed that (1) The level of implementation of Biology practice in SMA N 1 Kaimana is 77,78% and SMA YPPK is 33,33 %. (2) The major suporting factor such as laboratory is not available. (3) The obstacle that causes low percentage of practicum is the absence of laboratory room in school, the unavailability of laboratory tools and materials needed in practicum unit, there was no funds provided for practicum. (4) The efforts undertaken by school and teachers in handling this obstacle that is planning the implementation of practicum activities provided by the teachers in the lesson plan (RPP) as a form of teacher’s readiness, practicum funds provided by the teachers to purchase the practicum tools needed by school, laboratory management together by the teachers, and the teachers explain the materials as an effort to give understanding to students who do not participate in practicum activities. Keyword: Analysis, Biology Practicum, High School in Kaimana District

Abstract

Abstract.  The effectiveness of a learning innovation cannot ignore the important aspects of student characteristics. The purpose of this study was to describe the response of high school teachers and students to blended learning (BL) using quipper school. Respondents of this study were 21 teachers and 81 students of class XI MIA 1 SMA Pangkajene Sidrap, Sidrap Regency. The response of teachers and students to the use of quipper school in blended learning in biology learning, measured by the teacher and student response questionnaire. The results showed that teachers and students gave a positive response to the use of quipper shool in BL. This proves that the use of quipper school in BL is effectively used in high school learning by considering various aspects such as student characteristics, availability of supporting facilities and infrastructure, and the ability of teachers to use technology.
