Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study is to develop humor-based teaching materials on environmental pollution material for class VII students who are valid and practical. This type of research is development research (R & D). The development of this magazine uses the ADDIE model. The ADDIE stage is analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. This magazine's evaluation was evaluated by two expert validators. The results of the evaluation of biological humor comics by expert validators show that the biology humor comics are valid with a value of 4.49 (valid). The practicality of the product obtained from the teacher's response with a value of 83% (practical) and the response of students with a value of 81% (practical). Based on these results, it can be concluded that the development of biological humor comics in environmental pollution material is valid and practical. Keywords: comics, humor, teaching materials

Abstract

Abstract. The type of research is research and development (R & D). The purpose of this research was to develop of Biological learning module based on Scale Process Skills (SPS) on material structure and function of tissue animal that is valid and practical for Senior High School students. The development procedure used in this study is the ADDIE model which consists of five stages namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection was done through the validation process of the learning module and questionnaire responses of students and teachers to the learning module. The collected data was analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study indicate that SPS of based biology learning modules were "valid" and "very practical". Valid because the SPS of based biology learning module developed has fulfilled the validity criteria in the valid category. The learning module is said to be very practical because students and teachers respond very positively to the learning module.Keywords: biology module, science process skills, structure and function of  animals tissue

Abstract

Abstract. This research was aimed to produce BioMagz product as an alternative resource of independent learning which was valid and practical used in SMA Negeri 1 Mangkutana. This was a research and development using 4D model by Thiagarajan which consisted of 4 steps, namely (1) Define, (2) Design, (3) Develop and Disseminate. The research result developed BioMagz was valid and practical. The value of the validity was 4.17 which meant that BioMagz as an alternative resource of independent learning included in the valid criteria. The value of practicality was 4.6, which meant that BioMagz as an alternative resource of independent learning belonged to the practical criteria. While the student response presentation of 84,5% which means BioMagz got positive response from student. Keywords: BioMagz, Alternative, Resource of Independent Learning

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the validity and practicality of moodle (poodle) portable learning media in biology learning. This research is a development research with 4D models. The subjects of this study were students of class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 2 Senior High School of Pangkajene 20, Pangkep and Biology teachers. This study was conducted for 4 meetings for media trials by researchers and Biology teachers. The collection technique was to validate the expert validator first, then share the questionnaire responses of the teachers and student responses to test the practicality of the media that has been made. The results of expert validation showed that media development products have valid criteria based on assessment by material experts at 4.3 and media experts at 4.6. Field tests were carried out for students of Senior High School of Pangkajene 20 and biology teachers as the users of media products, and obtained criteria based on the acquisition of scores percentage of assessments in each trial amounted to 79.62% for student responses and 90% for teacher responses. Based on the data analysis in this study, it was concluded that the results of the development of poodle-based media obtained valid and practical criteria for use in biology learning. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the increase in activity, motivation and student learning outcomes through the application of the model Problem Based Learning (PBL) in class XI MIPA 1 MAN Enrekang on cell material. This type of research is a classroom action research (CAR) which consists of 2 cycles. The subjects in this study were students of class XI MIPA 1 MAN Enrekang. The type of research instrument used was a learning activity observation sheet, a learning motivation questionnaire and a learning outcome test in the form of multiple-choice tests of 20 items for each cycle of cell material. The data obtained were analyzed statistically descriptive. The results showed that (1) there was an increase in the biology learning activities of students in class XI MIPA 1 MAN Enrekang namely classically from 66.47% increased to 80.03%, the amount of increase from cycle I to cycle II was 13.56%; (2) an increase in biology learning motivation of students in class XI MIPA 1 MAN Enrekang that is classically from 82.87% to 86.97%, the amount of increase from cycle I to cycle II is 4.11%; (3) an increase in biology learning outcomes of students in class XI MIPA 1 MAN Enrekang namely from 59.38% of students who completed to 96.88%, the number of increases from cycle I to cycle II was 37.50%. These results indicate that the application of the Problem Based Learning model can improve the activity, motivation and learning outcomes of students of the XI MIPA 1 MAN class Enrekang.Keywords: Problem Based Learning, activity, motivation and learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstract.  This research is pra-experimental design that aims to determine effectiveness of student‟s learning interest and outcomes toward learning strategies based humor on genetic subject of student grade XII SMA Negeri 11 Makassar. Independent Variabe in this research is the application of learning strategies based humor on genetic subject, while the dependent variable is the student‟s learning interest and outcomes of genetic subject. The population in this study were all students of class XII SMA Negeri 11 Makassar with totally seven classes, while the sample is student‟s grade XII with totally 66 students. Pretest-posstest was used as data collection technique, by used a questionnaire of student learning interest and genetic  achivement test. Data analysis technique that used is a descriptive analysis using the n-gain and inferential analysis using paired sample t-test. Based on the descriptive analysis showed that n-gain value of student‟s interest and learning outcomes of genetics achieve an increase of >75% in the category of medium-high, which are respectively 77% and 92%, whereas the inferential analysis using SPSS showed a significance value 0.000 > α = 0.05 which indicates H0 isrejected and H1 is accepted, that the known application learning strategies based humor on genetic subject  has a significant influence (real) towards the student‟s learning interests  and outcomes. Therefore, based on these two data analysis concluded that the learning strategies based humor on genetic subject effectively to student‟s learning interest and outcomes of student of grade XII SMA Negeri 11 Makassar. Abstract

Abstract. This research applied Quasy Experiment which aimed to explain the influence of Peer Tutoring Model toward students’ Biology Cognitive learning outcome at SMAN 5 Bone. The population of this research was the second semester of the XI IPA students at SMAN 5 Bone. The samples of this research were the XI IPA1 and XI IPA2 students with the total number of 45 students. The samples were selected by purposive sampling technique. The data were obtained through learning outcome test. The result of the research showed that (1) students’ learning outcome in the control class were getting enhancement at the average of 40,32 and were at the level of the highest category, high category, and moderate category and was at moderate category (2) students’ learning outcome in the experimental class were improved at average 49,85 and were at the level of the highest category, high category, and moderate category and was at high category (5) application of Peer Tutoring model significantly influenced the student’s learning outcomes of Biology.Keywords: peer tutoring model, cognitive learning outcome

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of the TGT cooperative learning model with rotary wheel media on the learning outcomes of STKIP Pembangunan Indonesia students. This type of research is a quasi-experimental which takes two classes, the experimental class and the control class. The subjects of this study were even semester 2018/2019 students. The study was conducted in each class as many as 8 hours of study. The technique of data collection in this study uses instruments in the form of test results in the form of multiple choices. Data analysis using descriptive statistics using percentages and inferential statistics with t-test. The results showed that (a) from the results of the descriptive analysis, the mean value of the learning outcomes of the experimental class biology students 77.20 while in the control class 65.05 (b) from the results of inferential analysis using the confidence level t0.05 found that. The critical area H0 is rejected if p value (Sig. (2-tailed)) = 0.027. Because the test statistic is p value (Sig. (2-tailed)) <0.05 then H0 is rejected so it can be concluded that there is an effect of learning outcomes between students taught using the TGT cooperative learning model with rotary wheel media and without using the TGT cooperative learning model with rotary wheel media. Abstract

Abstract.This research was discussing the importance of improving the quality of the process and learning outcomes through various optimal learning models, while the teacher holds a very important role in involving students who take learning. The purpose of this study was to improve the learning outcomes of Zion High School students through the jigsaw cooperative learning model in biology subjects for the academic year 2017/2018. This research is a Classroom Action research, which discusses student factors, teacher factors and student learning outcomes. The location of this study was in Zion Makassar High School, 30th grade science as many as 30 students in the even semester of the academic year 2017/2018. Implementation of the action consists of 3 (three) cycles followed by Observation and Reflection activities. Cooperative learning type jigsaw can improve student learning outcomes. Cooperative learning type jigsaw learning is very positive, and student learning outcomes increase each cycle.Keywords: biology learning outcomes, type jigsaw cooperative learning.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to develop an authentic assessment instrument on ecosystem material for SMA using the 4D type development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) by Thiagarajan. The trial was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Bulukumba in class X MIA 1. The results of expert validation showed that the project appraisal instrument, performance and lesson plans had a strong relevance with the value of V = 88%, 100% and 100% respectively where all three were greater than 75% that it fulfilled the content validity coefficient. The reliability test was carried out at the trial stage by analyzing the results of the teacher's assessment of students using developed instruments. The result of the reliability test shows the value of r11 = 0.943 or greater than 0.70 so that it can be stated that the instrument developed is valid and reliable.Keywords: development, authentic assessment, validation
