Abstract

Bantuan Pangan Non Tunai (BPNT) is assistance that is in the second decile; in other words, KPMs who are in the first decile will also get assistance. A limited quota of BPNT recipients will result in people in categories such as the elderly group not getting this assistance. This problem arises because there is a significant increase in the population of the elderly group every year. The research method uses secondary data from data sources, namely the social service office, to develop a bilevel model for the problem of distributing food aid on cash by regularizing the bilevel model so that a linear programming model with a single objective function is obtained. In the regularization stage, the gradient descent method is used to find the optimal value of the penalty parameter. From the calculation results of the regularized model, it is found that the values of the variables  x_1= 2956,  x_2= 583, and x_3 = 250 have a value of Z = 3804. This bilevel linear programming model approach provides a strong basis for planning and decision-making related to the distribution of Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) in Siantar Martoba Subdistrict. Therefore, it can be assumed that this bilevel linear programming approach can be used as a guideline for related agencies in allocating resources efficiently.

Abstract

Computational thinking skills play an important role in the 21st century in helping students solve mathematical problems. One of the problem-solving abilities of students is influenced by learning style. The purpose of this study is to explore students' computational thinking skills through visual (V), auditory (A), and kinesthetic (K) learning styles. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. This study uses data collection instruments such as test questions, learning-style questionnaires, and interviews. Before being used, the test questions were validated by two mathematics education experts and tested on five grade V students. Using the test results and the learning style questionnaires, the researcher selected three visual students, one auditory student, and two kinesthetic students. Based on the findings of the research, learning style does not affect students' computational thinking capacity. Students with visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles can meet all indicators of computational thinking: abstraction, pattern recognition, algorithmic thinking, and generalization.

Abstract

Waste is defined as anything that is not utilized or discarded. Waste is not something that happens by itself; instead, it is a product of human activity. Unresolved problems are often caused by waste. Binjai City's waste problem is one example. In Binjai City, waste transportation is done once a day. The capacity of the truck is only 6–8 m3 or 3-5 tons, so if it is full, the waste is immediately transported to the landfill. Then the collection of waste at each TPS is not possible. Optimization of waste transportation routes using Floyd Warshall and Saving Matrix techniques is one way to overcome this problem. When scheduling cars, the Savings Matrix approach can be used to combine multiple delivery points and take into account the maximum capacity of the vehicle. The Floyd Warshall method is a dynamic programming component that is well suited to solving route optimization problems and can find every potential path between any two locations. Based on an analytical procedure that includes the Floyd Warshall algorithm and the Saving Matrix. These two routes of 29.46 kilometers were first used by the Environmental Agency of Binjai City. 20.63 km is the overall distance when using Saving Matrix, and 23.55 km is the overall distance when using Floyd Warshall. This shows that the Saving Matrix approach is more successful in reducing travel costs and distance.

Abstract

This study aims to explain students' misconceptions in solving material problems of linear equations of two variables before and after scaffolding, the form of scaffolding given, and the effect of scaffolding. The research method used in this study is qualitative descriptive. This research was conducted at MTS Negeri Surakarta 1 with the subjects of 8th grade students who experienced misconceptions. The instrument used in this study is the Group Embedded Diagram Test to classify students based on their cognitive style. Students who experience misconceptions are given scaffolding level 2 (clarify, revise and restructure) and adapted to the needs of the students. Based on the research that has been done, students with a cognitive style of Field-dependent, as many as twelve students; intermediate field, as many as ten students; and depending on the field, as many as five students. Field-dependent students experience classification misconceptions in converting information into a system of two-variable linear equations and correlations in relating their knowledge to problem solving. Independent students experience classification misconceptions when determining the form of a system of linear equations in two variables. The result of this study is that the provision of scaffolding is an effective alternative in overcoming student misconceptions in solving the problem of a two-variable linear equation system.

Abstract

Efforts to improve the quality of education continue to be carried out comprehensively, including aspects of knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values. Mathematics learning is understanding mathematical concepts when solving a problem. Therefore, whether or not mathematics learning has been achieved can be demonstrated if students can understand and master a given concept. This research aims to determine the increase in students' ability to understand concepts using teaching materials with a problem-based learning approach. This research used one class with 36 students. Data collection uses observation and tests. The pretest and posttest results show that the posttest results are better, namely having 10.417 points more than the pretest results. The results of the t-test analysis show a significance of 0.000. After being tested, it can be concluded that teaching materials using a problem-based learning approach are effective in improving students' ability to understand mathematical concepts.

Abstract

Stock prices are very important financial assets and accurate forecasting of stock price movements is of great value in making investment decisions. This research methodology begins with the analysis of historical data of BBCA stock prices. The ARIMA (Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average) model is used to capture trends and patterns of stock price fluctuations that occur over time. This model is then improved with the application of the GARCH (Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity) model to measure changes in volatility and heteroskedasticity in stock prices. The data used in this study includes the daily share price of BBCA in the period 1 October 2021 - 30 October 2023, obtained from reliable data sources. This research aims to develop an effective forecasting model for the stock price of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) using a combination of ARIMA and GARCH models. The results of the study show that the closing price of shares of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) contains elements of heteroskedasticity. The best model obtained is ARIMA (0,1,1)-GARCH (6,0). The MAPE value obtained is 0.9610548.
