Abstract

Shares are financial instruments that represent a small ownership in a company and give the holder the right to receive dividends and participate in the company’s decisions. The Covid-19 pandemic is also believed to have a major impact on the world stock market, so it is also important to analyze stock price fluctuations before and after the outbreak. One of the suitable methods for predicting stock price volatility is ARIMA-GARCH Markov Switching. The data used is secondary data from PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (PERSERO) Tbk. From January 2, 2019 to November 30, 2023. PT stock price data forecast. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (PERSERO) Tbk. Using ARIMA-GARCH Markov Switching method, the best model is ARIMA(2,1,2) GARCH(1,1) and the forecast value obtained is 5280.935; 5275.403; 5276.776; 5279.255; 5275,760 for 5 periods and divided into 2 regimes, namely the first regime with data that has low volatility and the second regime with data that has high volatility.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the many problems that often arise during learning in the classroom, especially mathematics. The purpose of this study was to determine how the description of students' abilities and problems in learning mathematics about relations and functions is taught using problem-based learning models and conventional learning models. With a post-test-only control group design, this research is quasi-experimental. Based on the results of data analysis obtained sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that Problem Based Learning and conventional learning produce significantly different levels of mathematical literacy. The practical implication of this study is that educational practitioners, particularly mathematics teachers at the junior high school level, can utilize these findings to improve their teaching. PBL can be used as a basis for designing more innovative and student-centered learning units, which can help students develop a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts and improve their ability to solve problems. Adequate support and training for teachers in implementing PBL is also important to ensure its successful implementation in the classroom.

Abstract

The Autoregressive (AR) model describes the situation where the data in the current observation of a time series depends on the previous observation data. AR models have linearity assumptions. However, in reality there is a non-linear tendency in the data so it needs to be combined with a Neural Network (NN) model. NN models can overcome nonlinear problems in data. The purpose of this research is to build an AR-NN model and apply it to the inflation rate data of West Java Province. The result of this study is an AR(2)-NN model generated by summing the AR(2) prediction results with the residual AR(2) prediction results using a NN model that has a network architecture (4-5-1). The results of data processing show that the AR(2)-NN model is able to increase the level of forecast accuracy from a reasonable forecast to an accurate forecast so that the AR(2)-NN model is better used in West Java Province inflation rate data. This is supported by the smaller MAPE values compared to the AR(2) model. The AR-NN model is expected to be a recommendation for predicting inflation rates in the future.

Abstract

This study analyzes the process of solving students' mathematical problems based on Polya's level and self-confidence. This research is a type of qualitative research with a case study approach. The subjects used in this study consisted of three students representing the level of confidence. Data collection in this study was conducted using triangulation techniques, which included tests, non-tests, and interviews. The results of the study were obtained based on the Polya level: Students with a high level of confidence will understand the problem clearly, plan steps to solve it, implement the solution plan, and check the results obtained. Students with moderate confidence only understand the problem clearly and plan the solution steps. Students with low self-confidence can only meet a few levels of Polya. Therefore, students with a high level of confidence do not hesitate and maximize their potential in solving problems so that they can solve them.

Abstract

Pneumonia has a notable influence on public health, especially among susceptible demographics like children and the elderly. This respiratory disease can be transmitted through human interaction. Analyzing the spread of the illness within a community requires assessing the characteristics of the community itself. The objective of this research is to describe the distribution of pneumonia cases and their causes in the West Java Province using RStudio software. The analytical method employed is the Integrated Nested Laplace Approximations (INLA) approach, a Bayesian statistical method used for estimation in complex Bayesian models, particularly in hierarchical or nested structure. The sample utilized comprises the entire population, totaling 27 Districts/Cities within West Java Province. The influence of differences in population size, number of people living in poverty, waste production, the quantity of primary healthcare facilities, total number of vehicles, and the count of HIV patients in Cities/Regencies in West Java on the spread of pneumonia will be analyzed. The result of analysis show that the population and number of health centers variables had a significant influence on the mapping of pneumonia disease in each location. And also, the Relative Risk (RR) and Standardized Incidence Ratio (SIR) maps show that some regions have a higher risk of pneumonia compared to other regions. These findings are expected to provide insights for public policies in addressing health issues, particularly in the efforts to prevent and control diseases like pneumonia. Moreover, these results serve as a foundation for further studies regarding other factors that might contribute to the spread of this disease at the local level.
