Abstract

At present there are still students who have difficulty in learning, due to limited learning resources. One effort that can be done is the use of modules in learning. Modules are printed teaching materials designed to be studied independently by learning participants. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of modules on the learning outcomes of students in MTs Hasanuddin Teluk Betung. Through the analysis of diffrences in the average of mathematics learning outcomes between those who used modules and those who did not use modules. The method used in this study is experiments with quantitative exploratory levels. The basic data collection technique uses a test technique that is to determine students learning outcomes. Testing hypotheses by using the t-test statistical formula. Based on the results of hypothesis testing it was concluded that the average mathematics learning outcomes of students using modules were higher than students who did not use the module.

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media in the form of pop-up boxes that are effective and in accordance with the criteria for autistic children. This type of research used in this research is research and development (Research and Development). In this study using ADDIE research methods, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. Data collection techniques used were test and non-test instruments, data analysis techniques to calculate the validity of the media, students' responses and the effectiveness of instructional media. Validation in this research is based on the validation of media experts and students to determine the response and effectiveness of the resulting media. The results of validation by media experts are 2.67 with the criteria of "quite valid". The response of students 3.27 with very interesting responses. The results of the effectiveness test with a percentage of 66% with effective criteria. Based on the data obtained shows that learning media is feasible to use and effectively applied in learning

Abstract

Welfare is an important thing that concerns all countries in the world, including Indonesia. Welfare is not only measured materially but also spiritually measured. Materially, welfare is measured by one's wealth, health, nutrition, education, assets, housing, and certain rights in society. While spiritually well-being is measured by perceived happiness. This study discusses the application of the structural equation model to examine the relationship between welfare indicators in Central Java Province. The model-built places education and employment as exogenous latent variables, while objective well-being and subjective well-being are endogenous latent variables. The data used to support the analysis were sourced from BPS, the results of the 2012 KOR National Social Economic Survey and MSBP, with a sample size of 6730 observations. The modeling results obtained by the model are quite feasible to explain the diversity of data, which is indicated by the value of GFI 0.97, AGFI 0.96, RMSEA 0.039, and RMSR 0.072. The analysis shows that education and employment have a direct influence on objective well-being and an indirect effect on subjective well-being. The effect of education on the level of welfare is higher than the effect of work.

Abstract

This study aims to increase interest in learning mathematics and describe the process of learning mathematics through computer learning media with the MS Power Point program. The research method used is a quasi-experimental method of classroom action research using the PAOR procedure. The results showed that based on the data shown by the results of the questionnaire, interview or observation during the learning process took place, the average results of the questionnaire interest in learning before the action was 62.17%, after the first cycle was 69.70% and after the second cycle was 76, 88% (high) means there is an increase in interest in learning from pre-study to the first cycle of 7.53% and from the first cycle to the second cycle of 7.18%. For the average results of observations of pre-research learning interest is 38.44% in the first cycle is 52.40% and the second cycle is 70.11% From pre-research to the first cycle there was an increase of 13.96%, from the first cycle to the second cycle up 17.71%. Overall from the pre-study to the end of the study there was an increase of 31.67%. This shows that by using computer-assisted learning media MS Power Point program students become more eager to learn mathematics.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of PDEODE learning strategies on students' misconceptions. This research is a quantitative research type Quasi Design Experiment using PDEODE learning strategies there are 6 stages in this learning namely 1) Predict 2) Discuss 3) Explain 4) Observe 5) Discuss 6) Explain. The population in this study were all students of class VIII at MTs Al-Hikmah Kedaton Bandar Lampung in the 2019/2020 school year. The sample in this study was class VIII D (Control Class using conventional methods) and VIII E (Experiment Class using the PDEODE learning strategy). Data collection instruments used were RPP, multiple choice test instruments accompanied by a scale of confidence given to material experts and question experts to determine the feasibility of the learning instrument and given to students (Pretest and Posttest). Based on the results of mathematics learning research using the PDEODE strategy for students' misconceptions is more effective than mathematics learning using conventional methods.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using Excel and SPSS on student learning outcomes in advanced statistics courses. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental research designs. The action taken is an effort to develop learning technology, namely the constructivism learning approach that is packaged in statistical learning through the use of Excel and SPSS. Based on the analysis of learning outcomes data from statistical learning without the help of programs, with the help of Excel and SPSS programs, there is no significant effect of using Excel and SPSS programs on student learning outcomes. There are several things that cause the use of Excel and SPSS programs do not affect student learning outcomes, namely (1) Inadequate infrastructure, (2) students 'basic statistical skills are still low and (3) students' interest in learning statistics is still low.

Abstract

Every life needs a very important role especially the role in education. Improving the quality of education can be pursued by the use of appropriate learning models so as to improve students' reasoning abilities. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in the influence of Novick's learning model and the learning model that is centered on educators on students' mathematical reasoning abilities, Knowing the interaction between learning models and SAVI learning styles (Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intelectually) on mathematical reasoning abilities learners. This research uses the Quasy Experiment Design method. The results obtained from this study are that learning by using Novick's learning model is more effective against mathematical reasoning for students, there is no interaction between Novick's learning model and SAVI learning style on mathematical reasoning abilities.

The developed product of this research is a website-based guided-inquiry approach student worksheet. The purpose of this study is to improve students’ learning outcomes and motivation in learning mathematics. This research employed the pre-experimental method with one-group pretest-posttest design. The small-scale testing obtained an average score of 3.1 which is included in the interesting category. The large-scale testing obtained an average score of 3.26 which is included in the very interesting category. The website-based guided-inquiry approach student worksheet obtained an average score of 0.48 which is included in the medium category for its effectiveness. It can be concluded that the website-based guided-inquiry approach student worksheet is feasible and very interesting to be used in increasing student motivation and learning outcomes for better learning in Basic Mathematics course.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the procedural fluency of students in numerical methods courses. Procedural fluency refers to knowledge of procedures, about when and how to use them appropriately, and the skills to carry out procedures flexibly, accurately, and efficiently. The method in this study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach and data analysis techniques for the Miles and Huberman models. In this study also performed triangulation of techniques by conducting interviews to strengthen the test result data. From the data analysis, it can be concluded that regarding the smoothness in students' procedural procedures in solving problems related to numerical methods courses, students are able to solve problems with more than one method. However, some students have not been able to streamline steps and make accurate calculations. In addition, mastery in operating a scientific calculator needs to be improved so that students can be more efficient and get more accurate answers.
