Abstract

EMPOWERMENT OF PKK WOMEN AND POSYANDU CADRE OF RW 022 TELUK PUCUNG, NORTH BEKASI IN THE APPLICATION OF GEMA CERMAT (INTELLIGENT COMMUNITIES USING MEDICINE). Until now in the midst of society often encountered various problems in the use of drugs, including lack of understanding of the use of appropriate and rational drugs, excessive use of over-the-counter drugs, and a lack of understanding of how to store and dispose of drugs properly. While health workers are still perceived as lacking adequate information about drug use. This is based on the appropriateness of data and information sources collected through visits and good discussions with several representatives of PKK women members and Posyandu Cadres RW 22 Teluk Pucung, North Bekasi. There are still many found, especially North Bekasi residents who sell or exchange used drugs to collectors of used goods in their residential areas or there are still many people who store liquid preparations such as syrup in the refrigerator. The purpose of this activity is to increase understanding of the treatment of drugs in how to get, use, store and dispose of and increase the rational use of drugs through Gema Cermat. The method of activities to solve the problems faced by PKK women and Posyandu cadres is by socializing about the Gema Cermat by filling out the questionnaire before and after the socialization. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test questionnaires, the participants became more aware of the management of drugs at home and increased knowledge of the use of rational drugs such as antibiotics. The conclusion of this activity is to increase participants’ understanding of drug management properly and is expected to be implemented in the family and community environment.

Abstract

NUTRITIONAL PARENTING ASSISTED WHATSAPP; DIGITAL LITERACY TO SUPPORT THE HEALTHY GENERATION OF ACHIEVERS. Parents have an important role in a family. Parental involvement in childcare has great potential to be developed. The potential of parents in parenting can be optimized through the potential of human and technological resources. In the current digital era, the potential for parental involvement can be strengthened by whatsapp-based digital literacy. Whatsapp is a technology resource that can convey various forms of messages such as text messages, voice messages, picture messages, even voice and video calls. This activity aims to empower parents in providing balanced nutrition for children through whatsapp-based parenting activities. The target group used as partners in this activity are parents of toddlers who attend Pos PAUD, at Pos PAUD Lestari II, Semarang City, Central Java. The method used in this activity was the initiation and parenting of whatsapp continuously. The results of activities carried out in the form of whatsapp-based nutrition parenting groups, the number of participants consisted of 20 parents, the results showed there were 85% of parents who had high enthusiasm when whatsapp parenting took place and 35% of parents were able to practice balanced diet for children. This activity needs to be continued given the limited number of parents who can practice balanced diet, the next activity can be in the form of literacy strengthening through peer education activities as an effort to increase parental involvement in fulfilling children's nutritional intake.

Abstract

WORKSHOP AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE PLANNING AND BUDGETING OF VILLAGE FUND. The purpose of this technical assistance was to enhance the skill of village government officers in Desa Tanimulya. The project was divided into 4 focus that consists of: workshop, review long term plan and short term plan, introduce enterprise owned by the village and manual procedure design for several main activities. This project was held in Tanimulya. There were 30 participants in this activity including head of the village and his staff. After the technical assistance has done, it can be seen that the village officer in Tanimulya understood the relation between long term planning and short term planning thus, it makes them easier to calculate the budget for each activitiy inside the plan.

Abstract

STRENGTHENING TEACHER PEDAGOGICAL COMPETENCIES THROUGH THE USE OF DYNAMIC GEOMETRY SOFTWARE IN MATHEMATICS LEARNING. The selection of strategies, methods, models, and media of appropriate mathematics learning is a form of implementation of a teacher's pedagogical competence. In the 2013 curriculum, the teacher not only sets a scientific approach as a reference in implementing the learning process but also demands innovation to accommodate the right media as well. The role of instructional media, especially dynamic media, is very important in learning mathematics in both elementary and junior high schools. The media was used to explain abstract mathematical problems to be concrete, motivate students, stimulate student learning activities, and help the effectiveness of the learning process. Technological devices such as computers are one of the tools that can be used as dynamic mathematics learning media. Mathematical learning collaboration with ICT devices has been widely carried out in urban and rural areas in Indonesia. Dynamic Geometry Software (DGS) in the form of GeoGebra is a learning medium specifically developed to facilitate the learning of geometry, algebra, and calculus. Therefore, this community service activity (PkM) is intended to strengthen the teacher's pedagogical competence through the use of dynamic learning media using Dynamic Geometry Software (DGS) in the form of GeoGebra in mathematics learning in junior high schools. This PkM aims to train teachers to be able to operate or create mathematics learning media assisted by DGS, especially in learning geometry to students. By making their own, teachers can add insight and increase creativity in making learning media. The supported subjects in these community service activities were junior high school mathematics teachers in Ruteng City. As for the results obtained after the PKM activities, the teachers can operate and create mathematics learning media using DGS in the form of GeoGebra.

Abstract

COMMUNITY SERVICE INNOVATION OF THE SCHOOL MATHEMATICS HEALTH CENTER (PUSKESMAS) IN LEARNING MATHEMATICS BASED ON THE TOWN SQUARE. The purpose of this study was to develop an innovation in the school’s mathematics health center in mathematics learning through city square-based mathematics learning. Descriptive method is used with subjects in early childhood and elementary school students who are in the location of the school mathematics health center. The instrument used by the researcher itself, data collection techniques using structured interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used triangulation, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the media presented at the Puskesmas were all new and they had not yet gotten them in their respective schools. The attitude of students who become happy, like, cheerful in learning mathematics and easy to understand mathematical concepts, and bring out the creativity of early age and elementary school students in learning mathematics. Student concentration also increases because the learning model used uses an individual approach, so that they can focus more on seeing the student learning process. Parents who accompany their children generally feel happy because their children enjoy learning mathematics. Puskesmas activities have an impact on early age and elementary school students to be happy learning mathematics, like learning with mathematics media, cheerful in following math tutoring and enjoy learning mathematics. This program is also highly supported by parents because it is very helpful in the learning process of their children and eases the family’s economic burden in education.

Abstract

IMPROVING TEACHER COMPETENCE THROUGH TRAINING ON VIDEOSCRIBE-BASED INTERACTIVE LEARNING MEDIA FOR TEACHERS OF PHYSICS MGMP IN LEBAK REGENCY. The purpose of this community service is to increase the role of MGMP physics teacher in Lebak District in developing interactive learning media innovation. Media Innovation learning the form of learning media based Videoscribe. The weakness of teachers in making media learning makes a problem to be sought solution. One of the developments in science and technology that can be utilized as an effective and efficient learning media in physics learning is by making interactive learning media based Videoscribe. The method of public service is conducted by interview, observation, socialization, and training. Community service activities in the MGMP Physics district Lebak goes well according to the results of the questionnaire feedback the level of satisfaction of partners in the implementation of devotion to the community who said that partners respond to positive response (95%) With this devotion activity. This activity adds teachers’ skills to create an interactive and innovative learning medium for preparing teaching materials in schools. Media-based Videoscribe learning is one of the latest innovations for teachers in the MGMP Physics of Lebak district.

Abstract

EDUCATIVE GAMES OF GIANT SNAKE IN THE EFFORTS TO INCREASE THE TOWATA VILLAGE YOUTH HIV/AIDS KNOWLEDGE. HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that attacks white blood cells in the body and results in the decline of human immunity. This is one of the problems of adolescent's premarital sexual behavior and abuse of drug use, many adolescents are still lacking knowledge about the dangers of HIV and not infrequently also as adolescents already know the negative effects but do not think about future risks. The aim of this intervention is to increase the understanding of village youth regarding the importance of avoiding anything that can lead to HIV and stigmatizing the community to avoid the disease rather than the person. The method used in this counseling is the Educational Giant Ladder Snake Faith to increase knowledge about HIV. The implementation technique is to go to the village youth gathering place and encourage them to take part in the eductive faith of the giant ladder snake. The evaluation method is carried out by holding a pre-test and post-test. The results show that there is a difference in the increase in knowledge before and after the game with an average of 5.70 to an average of 7.20. It is expected that young people can apply the knowledge that has been obtained during the game to be able to avoid risky behaviors of transmitting HIV/AIDS and can eliminate the negative stigma of society against disease and people with HIV/AIDS.

Abstract

Lupus or Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is a life-threatening chronic autoimmune disease with symptoms similar to those of other diseases. Frequent misdiagnosis of lupus increases the mortality rate of the disease. Public understanding is still low about Lupus, characterized by a variety of misperceptions about the disease, which still occurs. In rural area, Lupus is still often regarded as a virus transmitted and is associated with weak immune activity. There are still many women who do not yet know that they are a group that is more susceptible to Lupus than men. Various errors in people's perception of Lupus need to be corrected to increase public awareness of the disease. Efforts to correct misperceptions about Lupus have been done through Science and Technology for Community (Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi bagi Masyarakat, IbM) activities in counseling form to the housewife groups in Kalipucung Hamlet, Genting Village, Jambu District, Ambarawa, Central Java. Participatory approaches and tutorials have been carried out in the IbM activities through the provision of counseling materials, as well as the delivery of questionnaires before and after counseling. The results of the questionnaire analysis indicate that the counseling program could improve awareness about Lupus disease among community in rural area.

Abstract

TEACHERS IN THE DIGITAL ERA: TRAINING ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SCHOOLOGY AS A LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR TEACHERS OF SMP VETERAN CIREBON CITY. Distance education is a natural learning system that involves two-way communication through the media between educators and students when there is a distance that separates them. To integrate the two-way communication process requires a learning management system (Learning Management System). One of the LMS platforms is Schoology. Schoology allows users to create, manage, and interact with each other and share academic content. Schoology provides solutions for teachers to improve their professionalism in the digital age, especially in the use of technology for learning. The resource person trains participants with the lecture method, which explains how to use the menus and tools contained in LMS Schoology, as well as simulations of how to implement them in learning. The training stage consists of the preparation phase and the implementation phase of the training. The target of the training is the teachers of all subjects in Cirebon Veterans Junior High School. Indicators of training implementation with evaluation during the training process and post-training evaluation. From the results of the community service activities, during the face-to-face events, the teachers looked enthusiastic, only when the exercises were online (non-face-to-face), only one teacher actively participated out of a total of 9 teachers who became training participants. Based on observations, few teachers took part in online activities because of their busy operations in classroom teaching, which had to pursue productive weeks of learning.

Abstract

EFFECTIVENESS OF MENTORING INSTRUMENT PREPARATION OF ATTITUDE ASSESSMENT FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS. The purpose of devotion to society in the form of this training is to increase the competence of elementary school teachers in THE KKG Group of Dr. Wahidin Soediro Hoesodo District, Central Java in order to develop a scale instrument of attitude. The benefits gained by the participants in this training and mentoring are the increasing understanding and experience for the teacher in organizing the instrument of attitude. This activity is implemented by the following steps: 1) Identifying the ability of the trainees, 2) sets the need Gap, 3) develops the program, 4) conducting the training, and 5) evaluation. Based on the findings of the training as described above, the following steps included : 1) The training on the preparation of attitude assessment instruments is an urgent necessity; 2) The average Pretest score in training only reaches 54; While on final test reached 69.76. A minimum score pretest 23 and final test 47; Maximum score pretest 72 and final test 79. The increase in the achievement of the learning outcomes is quite meaningful, both seen from the average and from the achievement of the maximum score of 79; 3) found data from 25 elementary school teachers who attended the training, 16 of them (68%) has uploaded training products in the form of Likert model scale instrument. Compared to the specified PM target of 60%, this achievement has exceeded the target.
