Abstract

Guru merupakan salah satu komponen penting dalam sebuah pendidikan. Dalam pendidikan guru merupakan salah satu komponen utama yang sangat menentukan bagai tercapainya tujuan pendidikan yang memiliki sebuah peranan dan tantangan di era milenial. Dalam sebuah pembelajaran seorang guru memerlukan adanya metode dan model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan keadaan peserta didiknya supaya materi yang disampaikan  dapat diterima dengan baik oleh peserta didik itu sendiri. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk membantu guru dalam menerapkan model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Dalam pembuatannya penulis menggunakan metode study literatur dimana penulis memperoleh referensi didapat dari kemampuan membaca dan menulis. Dengan hasilnya meningkatkan motivasi siswa dalam belajar.

Abstract

This research aims to know the influence, get a comparison between both approaches (RME and saintifik approachs), and knowing the correlation of these two goals. The research method used true experimental design, pretest-posttest control group design. The population is all second grade students in Sumedang. The second grade student’s in the experimental group I (Panyingkiran III Elementary School) and group II (Sukamaju Elementary School) as the research samples. The results of this research are: 1) Learning mathematics using the RME and a scientific approach with adobe flash CS5 has a influence significantly on mathematics comprehention ability (cognitive goals) and student’s self-efficacy (affective goals) of fraction subject matter. 2) The difference is in improving cognitive and affective goals of fraction subject matter, RME is better than scientific approach. 3) There is a positive correlation between the mathematics comprehention ability and students self-efficacy in learning mathematics using RME and a scientific approach.

Abstract

Mathematical understanding ability is directly proportional with learning motivation. If students can understand the topics, it is possible that students have good learning motivation. Explorative approach can be used as a learning tool that can improve mathematical understanding ability and learning motivation. Explorative approach training the students to explore their knowledge in depth through five stages of learning. This research have purpose to determine the effect of explorative approach and conventional approach on mathematical understanding ability and learning motivation and to determine the relation between mathematical understanding ability and learning motivation. The quasi-experimental method was used in this research with nonequivalent control group design. The sample is the VA class and VB class in SDN 1 Jadimulya. The conclusion obtained is positive influence after using the explorative approach and conventional approach that appear from the improvement of indicators of mathematical understanding abilities and learning motivation and there is a positive correlation between mathematical understanding ability and learning motivation in the medium category.

Abstract

Problem in this research is lack of student understanding about history of Islamic empire material in Indonesia. This is caused by use of social science learning models less capable arousing motivation student for study. Based on this backgroundthe researcher formulated, that is ; (1) how to implement mind map models to improve student understanding in the material history of the Indonesian Islamic empire. (2) how to improve student understanding on the material history of the Indonesian Islamic empire. Then, based on formulation of the problem researcher formulate research objectives, that is ; (1) to describe implementation mind map models to improve student understanding on the material history of the Indonesian Islamic empire. Model in this research use the model classroom action research Kemmis and Mc Taggart. This research implemented in two cycles. Every cycles consist of one learning and four phase, planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research instrument in use is observation sheet, field notes, documentation, assessment Guidelines, and interview sheet. the data analysis technique used is techniques for analyzing qualitative data and quantitative data. Based on research that has been carried out on cycles one, average value of student understanding 69, on cycles two increased to 80. These result shows that mind map model can increased student understanding on the material history of the Indonesian Islamic empire.

Abstract

The role of mathematics in education is very important to develop the ability of students, whether in mathematics or other sciences. Through the project-based learning model, the teacher sees to optimize students' comprehension skills in understanding material concepts with a student center system to increase student learning passion. This study user the quasi-experimental design and research design method of the nonequivalent control group design. The population of the study was fourth-grade students in North Sumedang Subdistrict, with a sample of study namely Class IV students at SDN Sindang IV (control) and Class IV at SDN Sindang II (experiment). The conclusions obtained from the research, namely 1) The project-based learning model and conventional approaches can improve students' mathematical understanding and motivation abilities, 2) The project-based learning model is significantly better in improving mathematical understanding and motivation compared to the conventional approach.

Abstract

This research was based on the teacher centered implementation that still be used so it effected to the low activity and the acquisition of student of 4th grade  at SDN Pasirbenteng II in Rancakalong Sumedang about Natural Resources subjects. This study aims to determine the planning, implementation, improvement activity and student comprehension about material natural resources using Mind Map method and Think-Talk-Write strategy. The instruments used were teacher performance observation sheets, interview guidelines, field notes, student worksheets and learning outcomes tests. The results showed that it has succeeded improved activity and student comprehension. Teacher performance in cycle 1 in planning achieved 73% and 85% in implementation. The 2nd cycle got planning 93%, and implementation 96%. In Cycle 3 got 97% at planning and 96% at implementation. Student activities, in cycle 1 got 54%, in cycle 2 got 60% and in cycle 3 got 82%. Then, student learning outcomes from the first data collected refer to 56%, in 1st cycle got 59%, 2nd cycle got 69% and then the 3rd cycle increased to 87% and it has exceeded the expectation target in about 85%.

Abstract

The research conducted in VB class of East Palimanan 1 Elementary School was motivated by the conditions in the learning of advertisements writing skills that were still low on the elements of the advertisement sentence. To overcome the difficulties of students in writing advertisements, an increase is made by applying the think talk write strategies and peer correction techniques. This research was conducted using the class action research method, with a research design model from Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observations, learning outcomes tests, and field notes. Student learning outcomes in this study assessed advertisements that were in accordance with the elements of advertisement, advertisement language and choice of words, advertisement images, in the first cycle students completed 15 (60%) students, the second cycle reached 19 (76%) students, and the third cycles reached 23 (92%) students who complete.

Abstract

Environmental problems continue to grow. If it is not immediately resolved, the sustainability of the earth will be threatened. Therefore humans must have the ability to think creatively to overcome these environmental problems. The creative thinking must be developed from the age of elementary school especially through science learning. So a quasi-experimental study was conducted for determine the effect of quantum learning assisted by CCTP games and mind mapping games for creative thinking and to find out which is better between the two games in increasing creative thinking. The research sample was VA and VC grade students at Tegalkalong Elementary School located in North Sumedang District. The instruments used are creative thinking test questions and supported by several qualitative data. After learning as many as 3 meetings, the conclusion is obtained that: (1) Quantum learning with the help of these two games can improve the ability to creative thinking. The increase in creative thinking skills of students treated by using quantum learning helfed game of CCTP was no better than students who were treated using quantum learning helfed by mind mapping games significantly (μ1 = μ2), meaning that both games were not better with each other.

Abstract

The research aims to improve students learning outcomes through the use of learning cycle models in the science learning of motion tool content. This research was conducted in class V of SDN Bojongloa District Kasomalang Subang. This research is based on Brunner learning theory and the paradigm of constructivism The research method used is a classroom action research method with three cycles. The subject of this research totaled are 33 students. Data collection techniques or procedures used are interviews, observations, field records, and test learning outcomes. The results showed that by implementing learning cycle models can improve student learning outcomes on the content of motion tools. This is showed by the result of cycle I is 60.6% of students complete. Cycle II is 84.8% of students complete. Then cycle III is 93.9% of students complete to the minimun criterion 70.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas II SDN Cieunteung mengalami kesulitan dalam membaca pemahaman teks dongeng. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, peneliti melakukan penelitian dengan menerapkan metode SQ5R dan permainan ular tangga gambar. Penelitian didasari oleh teori metode pembelajaran SQ5R, permainan ular tangga gambar, dan keterampilan membaca pemahaman. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode penelitian tindakan kelas. Berdasarkan penelitian, perencanaan kinerja guru pada siklus I mencapai 80,4%, siklus II mencapai 90,2%, dan siklus III mencapai 100%. Pelaksanaan kinerja guru pada siklus I mencapai 73,7%, siklus II mencapai 84,2%, dan siklus III mencapai 96,5%. Aktivitas siswa siklus I mencapai 13,6%, pada siklus II mencapai 45,5%, dan pada siklus III mencapai 86,4%.  Selanjutnya untuk hasil belajar siswa, pada siklus I mencapai 45,5%, siklus II mencapai 68,2%, dan siklus III mencapai 90,9%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode SQ5R dan Permainan Ular Tangga Gambar dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa kelas II SDN Cieunteung dalam membaca pemahaman teks dongeng.
