Abstract

The macro-ergonomic approach integrates human factors with cultural and environmental aspects in occupational health and safety (K3). This approach emphasizes the critical role of culture, advocating for practitioners to adhere rigorously to workplace norms. A well-designed campaign targeting a homogeneous audience can significantly enhance the implementation of a harmonious safety culture. Through persuasive communication strategies that resonate emotionally and encourage changes in attitudes and behaviors, such campaigns utilize various appropriate media to convey the importance of adhering to company safety regulations. Furthermore, macro-ergonomics aims to foster a health and safety culture by clearly communicating organizational rules. This study explores the impact of persuasive campaigns on achieving zero accidents by conducting a case study at PT.X in Batam. It investigates potential hazards using macro-ergonomics and examines the effectiveness of a persuasive campaign aimed at the target audience at PT Batam-based Corner, focusing on the application of visual communication design in reinforcing K3 compliance. Abstract

Development in Bandar Lampung is increasing rapidly, causing an increase in transportation development. The development of transportation in the city of Bandar Lampung is currently still experiencing severe problems, so traffic hours often occur. The high level of congestion on the highway is caused by several things, including the unbalanced road capacity and vehicle volume and the presence of side obstacles, which add to congestion on the Z.A. Pagaralam road section. Apart from being a public road, Pagaralam is also located in one of the busiest economic centers in the city of Bandar Lampung. Along this stretch of road are campuses, schools, shops, pharmacies, shopping centers, and street vendors, and it is also a transfer point for passengers moving from one public transport to another, causing many side obstacles to occur on the road. To overcome this, it is necessary to analyze the influence of side obstacles on traffic performance. Data analysis was carried out using the PKJI 2014 method. The analysis of traffic volume obtained a value of 4747.75 cur/hour. The analysis results of the highest side obstacles were obtained on Tuesday at 12.00 – 14.00 segment 1 amounting to 838.90 incident weights. Keywords: Traffic Volume, Side Obstacles, PKJI 2014.

Abstract

Jewelry is a form of cultural and artistic wealth. Apart from that, jewelery products have also spread to the global market in various major countries, this is evident from data on jewelery exports in Indonesia which have increased by up to 24.21% even in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. In modern life, of course, there are many women who want to beautify themselves with jewelery because the main users of this jewelery are women, but the jewelery that we often see has simple geometric shapes, therefore a strategy is needed to implement cultural values into everyday product. One form of culture that we have is the keris. Keris is a kind of dagger that functions as a weapon or spiritual object. In addition, the keris is also popular as a collection item that has high value from an aesthetic point of view because it has interesting artistic elements. The artistic elements contained in the keris can also be implemented into products that we use every day, namely jewelry. This writing aims to design jewelry by taking several parts of the keris which will be adapted into jewelry forms in order to provide innovation in the form of jewelry that has a novelty value without losing the characteristics of the keris.

Abstract

Palembang City is a lowland area with an average height of 4-12 meters. When the rainy season arrives, flooding will occur in several locations, so it is necessary to build retention ponds to overcome this problem. This research aims to analyze whether the capacity of the retention pond is still capable of dealing with rainfall which has increased significantly over the last 10 years. From the research results, the largest rainfall was obtained using the gumbell method, and the results of the gumbell method analysis passed the chi-square and Smirnov-kolmogorof goodness-of-fit tests. The 10 year return period results obtained were 139.89 mm/hour and the peak discharge was 2.83 m3/s. The retention pond catchment area is 13.71 ha, with a rainwater storage volume in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Public Works of the Republic of Indonesia No. 11/PRT/M/2014 amounting to 8713.58 m3. The retention pond is considered capable of accommodating this rainfall because the retention pond capacity is 13,400 m3. Simulation results using HEC-RAS software showed that the water level was 3.25 meters.

Abstract

This study explores the use of Goal Programming (GP) to optimise project management decisions in the construction industry, focusing on a case study of a roof replacement project. The construction industry is crucial to a country's development, contributing significantly to economic growth and employment rates. However, construction projects are often complex and resource-intensive. Project management is essential in ensuring the successful completion of construction projects. The study uses GP to address the time-cost trade-off in project management, aiming to minimise project costs while meeting project deadlines and quality requirements. The GP model considers various constraints, such as the availability of workers and equipment, project duration, and budget limitations. The study presents two optimisation options: a time-focused option and a cost-focused ed option. The time-focused option prioritises timely project completion, while the cost-focused option aims to minimise project costs. In the case study, the time-focused option is the most suitable choice. This approach allows the project to be completed in time as the alternative option delay delays the project far too unacceptable. Overall, the study demonstrates the effectiveness of GP in optimising project management decisions in the construction industry. By carefully evaluating project constraints and objectives, GP can help construction companies achieve the best possible outcomes in terms of cost, time, and quality. Keywords: Goal Programming, Construction Industry, Project Management, Time-Cost Trade-off, Optimization

Abstract

This research aims to overcome the problem of waste waiting, especially long queues, faced by Toko Yanti, a grocery store in Brebes Regency, Central Java Province. The approach used is the application of the 5S method (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke). The steps involve sorting items, improving layout, arranging items, designing storage areas, implementing work rules, and ongoing evaluation. Observations before implementation show ρ (utilization) is more than one, indicating queue buildup. After implementing 5S, the value of ρ (utilization) becomes less than one, which means there is no accumulation. The implementation of the 5S method succeeded in minimizing waste waiting and increasing service efficiency at Toko Yanti. This process shows an increase in service resources and a reduction in queues, which are important indicators of a store's operational efficiency. The results of this research can be used as a reference for similar businesses to increase productivity and customer satisfaction. Apart from that, the 5S approach can also help reduce queue build-up and increase service efficiency in various types of businesses.

Abstract

The patchouli plant has great economic potential for society because it is one of the priority industries. The government continues to encourage the development of the patchouli oil agro-industry. One of the supports provided by the government to improve the quality of patchouli oil is the provision of stainless-steel distiller to several farmer groups in West Pasaman. Unfortunately, this distiller is no longer used even though it is still in good condition. This research proposes appropriate policy directions to increase government-assisted patchouli distillation equipment use in West Pasaman Regency. The policy direction was formulated based on the solution to the obstacles using the Fuzzy Delphi Method (FDM). From the research results, stainless steel distillers are generally better than conventional ones. Still, farmers in West Pasaman Regency do not use government-assisted distiller one hundred percent. Farmers have switched to using traditional distillation. The obstacles to the use of stainless-steel distiller in West Pasaman Regency are community habits, the large capacity of the distiller, the remote location of the distiller, ownership status, the permanent nature of the distiller, the design and mastery of the distiller, technology, and changes in economic sectors. The policy directions related to assistance with stainless steel distiller obtained from the results of this research are: a). The government involves experts in designing and procuring distiller. b). The government conducted a comparative study to determine the appropriate distillation tool specifications. c). Create a policy regarding the number of members of farmer groups. d). Provide technical guidance to farmers regarding the use of stainless-steel distillers. e) Formation of sales cooperatives.  Keywords: Patchouli Oil, Stainless Steel Distiller, Fuzzy Delphi Method, Policy
