Abstract

Cultivating health and occupational safety among fishermen can involve various strategies, such as reviewing movies for insights. These films serve as reflections of the relevance to the cultural aspects of fishermen's health and safety, contributing to the Health and Occupational Safety Triangle or Hierarchy Control. Hierarchy Control, a sequential risk reduction process, encompasses elimination, substitution, design, administration, and personal protective equipment (PPE). The study aims to reduce or eliminate work accidents for fishermen, utilizing planning hierarchy control with an approach involving Macro Ergonomics, Semiotics, and the Fogg Behavior Model. Findings identify a minimal health and safety culture during service, leading to the design of three hierarchy controls: Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for machines and equipment (administrative control), ship closures for noise reduction (engineering controls), and the implementation of Personal Protective Equipment. However, elimination and substitution remain challenging to implement in daily service activities.

Abstract

Abstract

The macro-ergonomic approach integrates human factors with cultural and environmental aspects in occupational health and safety (K3). This approach emphasizes the critical role of culture, advocating for practitioners to adhere rigorously to workplace norms. A well-designed campaign targeting a homogeneous audience can significantly enhance the implementation of a harmonious safety culture. Through persuasive communication strategies that resonate emotionally and encourage changes in attitudes and behaviors, such campaigns utilize various appropriate media to convey the importance of adhering to company safety regulations. Furthermore, macro-ergonomics aims to foster a health and safety culture by clearly communicating organizational rules. This study explores the impact of persuasive campaigns on achieving zero accidents by conducting a case study at PT.X in Batam. It investigates potential hazards using macro-ergonomics and examines the effectiveness of a persuasive campaign aimed at the target audience at PT Batam-based Corner, focusing on the application of visual communication design in reinforcing K3 compliance. This integrated research approach underscores the need for collaborative efforts in industrial engineering to enhance safety outcomes. Keywords: Health And Safety Work, Campaigns, Ergonomics Macro

Abstract

In activities production PT. XYZ has several forms of production processes. It is a grinding process, which has the potential to give rise to noise coming from the tools used during the production process. The continuous noise produced can damage healthy hearing workers. To know the noise level produced during the grinding process on module 04 and module 05 of the Santos project and calculate the recommended time When exposed to noise. Data collection will use a sound level meter to gauge noise. Data calculations using distribution frequency and counting level noise equivalent ( Leq ) obtain point noise on Dilinta Sembiring and Saiful above the Threshold Limit Value (NAV), namely 86.87 dBA and 85.35 dBA. Calculated exposure time use method NIOSH recommends that Crossed Sembiring can work for 5 hours 19 minutes and Saiful for 7 hours 37 minutes. If No, use PPE when exposed continuously. Keywords: Ergonomics Environment, Noise, Grinding, NOISH

Abstract

Industrial transformation at the moment this is very impactful for development technology periodically large and complex. Development this industrial technology usually called industry 4.0. Industrial revolution 4.0. influence the world of business even. The industrial revolution had an impact on aspects life humans, including in the field occupational safety and health (K3). PT. XYZ is company fiberglass manufacturing operating in Batam still difficulty in face challenge related K3 problems. Although has There is K3 regulations and standards that have been determined in the fiberglass manufacturing industry. Bad his knowledge about K3 owned by the operator so can cause Health problems for employees. Based on from results of data analysis that has been carried out can be known that mark connection environment Work to disturbance health is obtained value 85.8% with that can be concluded that environment work is very influential to health problems. Can be known. The resulting RPN value is 80 points the is in the factors reason disturbance health Work that is man. With That need do purposeful improvement. For minimize happen disturbance health. Keywords: Health Disorders, K3, Industrial Revolution
