Theoretical papers, practice-oriented papers including case studies, state-of-the-art reviews are all welcomed and encouraged for the advance of science and engineering in Civil Engineering and Planning. Abstract

The Pandrah Irrigation Area is a technical irrigation network whose water source comes from the Krueng Pandrah river. Pandrah Weir was built in 1987 located in Samagadeng Village, Pandrah District, Bireuen Regency. It has an area of 1,203 hectares of irrigated rice fields. In its development, the damage that occurs in the Pandrah irrigation area also cannot be ignored. It is necessary to review it by assessing the performance of the irrigation system. The purpose of this study was to determine the performance index of the Pandrah irrigation system using the MASSCOTE (Mapping System and Service for Canal Operation Technique) method approach. The assessment of the performance index of the Pandrah irrigation system using the MASSCOTE method approach is carried out by evaluating the Rapid Appraisal Procedure (RAP) on four main indicators, namely service indicators, indicators for Farmers Using Water (P3A), indicators for the operator's Human Resources (HR). In the evaluation of the RAP, it is the value of observations of the respondents of OP officers and P3A farmers who are presented in a questionnaire to cross-assess each respondent in irrigation management. The results of the research on the performance appraisal of the Pandrah irrigation system based on the MASSCOTE method with RAP evaluation showed that the performance index of the absolute value (Level of Service) was 3.05. Hence, the performance index of the Pandrah irrigation system in the existing conditions was in the Good classification. This index and classification value shows the value of irrigation operations in fulfilling services from irrigation management carried out by operators / OP officers and felt by irrigation service beneficiaries, namely P3A farmers.

Abstract

The quality performance of road improvement and road development projects in Aceh Province has always been highlighted by various elements of society. This is due to the occurrence of the damage that the age of the plan has not timed. It is also often found quality mismatch so that road construction must be dismantled and reworked. This study aims to analyze the relationship and influence between the factors that contribute to the quality performance of road construction projects, and to identify the dominant factors affecting the quality performance of road construction projects in Aceh Province. This study used qualitative methods quantized through questionnaires. The number of research samples obtained by 75 companies. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling with the consideration of the contractor company that has completed the road construction project in Aceh Province from 2010-2015. Independent variables consist of human resource, material, equipment, evaluation, managerial, finance, field management, project owner, design, and environment, while the dependent variable is the quality performance of road construction project. Statistical analysis used is reliability test, descriptive analysis, simple correlation and multiple linear regression using Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) version 22 software. The results show that human resource, material and equipment factors have very low relation, evaluation factor and managerial have low relation, finance factor have good relation, environment factor have high relation, while management and design factor have very high relation to quality performance at road construction project in Aceh Province. Contributing factors that affect the quality performance of road construction projects in Aceh Province are the factors of management, and design. The dominant factor affecting quality performance in road construction project in Aceh Province is management factor. This indicates that if the management factor is improved by the contractor then the quality performance of the road construction project will increase.

Abstract

Trip generation in the household is very influential on the activity it has. Routine activity that should be done by an individual itself also called as mandatory activity. Also with the trip generation performed can be affected by social status owned, one of which is gender. Gender is the division of roles between men and women which can have a difference. The occurrence of traffic density due to the characteristics of community within a household of trip generation making the purpose of this research is to know the socio-economic characteristics, demography and tip behavior, knowing factors which influence the trip generation of a household based on gender for mandatory activity and to get the model, and the difference of utility and probability value. Area of this research are 4 sub-districts in Banda Aceh city which are Jaya Baru sub-districts, Banda raya, Lueng Bata, and Kuta raja sub-district with the sampe numbers of 400 samples. Method used is Model of Binomial Logit Difference then processed by using SPSS v20. Characteristics of Socio-economic, demography, and trip behavior which produced by 19 variables in this research one of its variable is gender that is 54% for men and 46% for women. From the utility model obtained, then the factors that affecting the movement of the household based on mandatory activity on men are number of family members and activity duration, while for women are number of family members who attend school and activity duration. Probability for the household Trip generation is probabilitas ≤ 3 movement and greater than 3 movements based on the mandatory activity for men are 75% and 25%, while for women are 72% and 28%.

Abstract

The Mutiara Sub-district to date has continued to experience a relatively rapid population growth rate, limited existing road network facilities, and increased development in urban centers that are not well organized. This phenomenon will burden and will adversely affect the city transportation system because it will cause the occurrence of transportation problems such as queues, or traffic congestion in certain areas. Therefore, it needs a model of the movement generation in the Mutiara Sub-district. This study aims to determine the pattern of the rise of household movements, based on the type of education and occupation reviewed in mandatory and non-mandatory activities in Kecamatan Mutiara. The population in Mutiara sub-district is 20,810 people, through the Slovin formula, the sample is 393 people. The sampling technique used is proportionate stratified random sampling. Calibration of regression parameters used Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method with Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) version 22 software. The results showed that the mandatory activity of the upward movement of high school education was influenced by sex factors, the number of family members who were still in school, and the ownership of the driver's license, the rise of the movement of the trader's work is influenced by sex factors, and the number of family members already employed, and the rise of non-trades work movements is influenced by the number of family members who are still in school, the number of cars in the family, and the ownership of the driver's license. In non-mandatory activities, the rise of the high school education movement is influenced by the number of family members in school, the number of cars, and the ownership of the driver's license.

Abstract

SNI 03-6468-2000 defines a high-quality concrete as a concrete with a compressive strength equal to or larger than 41,4 MPa. To obtain a high strength concrete, increasing the quality of material components is needed. The improvement of concrete quality can be done by addition or substitution processes in the concrete mixture. In this research, the substitution of cement, fine aggregate and coarse aggregate with fly ash coal, palm shells, pozzolan sands and the addition of iron ore nanomaterial as filler (BMT-H) were selected. The purpose of this research is to compare the compressive strength of hybrid high-quality concrete (BMT-H) to normal high-quality concrete (BMT-N). Samples of concrete compressive in a cylindrical shape with diameter 15 cm and height 30 cm were prepared. Concrete compressive strength test was performed on concrete at age of 7 days, 28 days, and 56 days. The results of compressive strength maximum on concrete at age 7 days, 28 days and 56 days are 44,28 MPa; 59,48 MPa and 69,71 MPa, consecutively.

Abstract

Geology information has an important role in development planning in Indonesia especially in physical development so that it needs to be well laid out in order to give the complete information. The objectives of the study are: First, integrating result of the SAR technique processing to image fusion technique to identify geological structure, landform and litology in Pidie Jaya region, Aceh province and Second, testing ability of SAR technique and image fusion technique in geology reconstruction in Pidie Jaya region. This study was done in most parts of Pidie Jaya and Pidie region using the main data that were Sentine-1A with VH polarization and Landsat 8 OLI with 567 composite. The methods used are digital image processing and field observation. Digital image processing uses some techniques including: SAR technique (calibration, multilook, deburst, median speckle filtering, geometric correction), InSAR tecnique to create DEM, HSV image fusion and directional spatial filter techniques (3x3 and 5x5 windows) to identify landform, geological structure and litology through visual interpretation. Field observation was done through strike and dip measuring with purposive sampling method. Results of HSV fusion technique visual interpretation can identify structural landform, volcanic landorm, fluvial landform, drainage patterns and litology. Results of directional filter visual interpretation can identify lineament, fault and fold. Geological structure in study region has dominant direction South West – North East or 42.4o – 223.63o. The study region is dominated by structural landform with an area of 555.39 km2 or 59.56 % of study area total with accuration 86.04 %. Litology which dominates in study area is sandstone with an area of 571.78 km2 or 61.31 % of study area total with accuration 82.93 %.

Abstract

 Cow Feces is alleged impact on damage to highways that can weaken the ability of the asphalt viscosity and cause small holes in the asphalt. This study, the substitution polymer used is a waste material Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) on the AC-WC which were soaked with cow feces. This study aims to determine the effect of immersion duration of cow feces on the durability of concrete asphalt mixture using asphalt pen. 60/70 with substitution grated PET polymer waste 5%, 7%, 9% with asphalt pen 60/70 weight ratio, as well as determine the effect of plain water immersion and cow feces with a variation of 30 minutes, 24 hours, and 48 hours on the stability of asphalt modification with PET. The results, value asphalt optimum 5.52%, the best stability values without substitution with palin water immersion cow feces is 1136,49 kg, the best stability for PET on a percentage of 9%, is 2092,01 kg. The value of durability without substitution with plain water immersion is 92,64% by soaking into coe feces,  the value of the durability of the PET percentage variation is 99,72%, and has met the prescribed Bina Marga specifications 2014 which ≥ 90%. The best percentage of PET polymer addition in this study was 9% because it has the best stability and durability value

Abstract

Economy of the community which will develop around the project sides that which on 7 sub-districts that are Simpang Mamplam, Pandrah, Jeunib, Peulimbang, Peudada, Jeumpa and Juli sub-district  that are the area  of superior commodity land on 7 sub-districts with surplus producer. The purpose of this research is to know how much benefit obtained from regional development and producer surplus of this road construction and and evaluate economic feasibility based on Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR). Scope of this research is scenario which covers plantation, agriculture, and farm sector that guided by plan of spatial pattern on Bireun District in 2012-2032 and this research was conducted in 7 sub-district which is in construction plan site of road Krueng Meusagop – Teupin Mane.  Scenario results for 20 years since the road opened (2020-2040) economic benefits and advantages gained on the plantation area is Rp. 790.074.000.000,-, in the agriculture sector is Rp. 753.843.376.000,- and in farm sector is Rp. 455.340.741.000,-. Based on the economic evaluation of this road construction with a 20-year analysis period is meet the economic feasibility standards on the discount rate of 10% BCR value is 1,32 and NPV value is Rp. 89.228.473.000,-, discount rate of 12%  BCR value is1,06 NPV value is Rp.  14.409.843.000,-.while on the discount rate 15% BCR value is 0,77.

Abstract

The disaster of an earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter Scale (SR) that hit Pidie, Pidie Jaya and Bireuen Districts on December 7, 2016 has resulted in damage to infrastructure and facilities. In an effort to accelerate post-disaster rehabilitation and reconstruction, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, carried out the rebuilding of the At-Taqarrub Mosque, Ulee Glee Market in Pidie Jaya District and Al-Aziziyah Islamic College in Bireuen District. Some of the risks that occur in the implementation of the project are the replacement of material use, the late submission of material proposals from the executor, material fabrication far from the project location, the disruption of land traffic to the project location, instructions for accelerating work so the building is functional before the contract ends from the owner. and there are limitations to suppliers in meeting a large demand for material in a short time. This study aims to analyze the level of relationship and the form of influence between material supply chain risk on project performance. This study uses a combined method, which combines qualitative and quantitative approaches through questionnaires. Respondents were directed at 20 planning personnel, 26 implementing personnel, 6 construction management personnel and 13 owner staff. The independent variables reviewed are supply, control, process and demand factors, while the dependent variable is project performance. The results showed that all material supply chain risk factors had a high relation to project performance. All material supply chain risk factors have a significant effect on project performance, which is equal to 78.8%. The material supply chain risk factor that predominantly affects project performance is the demand factor, with a regression coefficient of 0.283. This means that if the demand factor is handled properly by the executor and the owner, the project performance will increase by 28.3%.

Abstract

Sabang Island is a prospective tourist destination for generating regional and national income. The city of In terms of the number of lodging and visitor, Sabang is very much changed every year. The number of tourists both Domestic and Foreign has steadily increased since 2011. In 2014 the number of tourists reached 299,881 visitors and in 2015 the number of tourists reached 366,195 visitors. At present, to get to Sabang the visitors must use a boat. Currently, only two boat providers are available. One boat provider is managed by the government (KMP BRR) and another one is by private companies (KM Express Bahari). Each provider has its own services characteristics offered to prospective passengers. Therefore, in this research, we want to know the factors that influence the passenger selection between KMP BRR and KM Express Bahari. The used model is in the form of mathematical transformation which is usually called as Binomial Logit Model. This model using the dependent variable (y) is the provider name and the variable (x) of 6 variables, namely: (x2) Age, (x3) Occupation, (x5) Income, (x6), Reason for Selection Mode, and (x8) Schedule Selected. The results are presented and discussed in this paper.
