Abstract

Background: Preeclampsia is an increase in blood pressure that occurs after the 20th week of gestation. Until now, the exact cause of preeclampsia is not known. During the second trimester of pregnancy the pressure in the renal veins (renal venous pressure) changes and increases. Increased renal venous pressure causes proteinuria, especially in the orthostatic position, which causes a slightly greater change in kidney size. Purpose: The aim of this study was The Relationship Between Body Mass Index And Blood Pressure With Results Of Urine Protein Examination In Pregnant Women At Bangkalan Health Center. Methods: Analytical Research Design with a cross sectional approach. Independent variable Body Mass Index and Blood Pressure, dependent variable results of urine protein examination. The sample of this study were 210 pregnant women who carried out Integrated ANC at the Bangkalan Health Center, the sampling technique used Simple random sampling. Secondary data collection by looking at medical record data, statistical tests using Rank Spearman. Results: Based on statistical tests using Rank-Spearman, the results showed ρ value (0.024) <α (0.05) indicating that there is a relationship between Body Mass Index and urine protein examination results. The results of the study ρ value (0.020) <α (0.05) there is a relationship between blood pressure and the results of urine protein examination. Conclusion: Detection of proteinuria is very important in the diagnosis and treatment of hypertension in pregnancy. Proteinuria is the last symptom to appear in patients with preeclampsia.

Abstract

Background: Currently, the trend of patients admitted to the hospital is increasingly complex and has many co-morbidities, some of which the patient's condition will suddenly worsen or become critical, due to various interrelated causes such as weak monitoring systems and staff reactions to emergencies. Delays in treatment or inadequate care for patients who are treated in the Hospital Ward can result in several adverse conditions, namely increased patients transferred to the ICU (Intensive Care Unit), increased LOS (Lenght of Stay) in the hospital, heart attacks, or patient death. Purpose: The purpose of this study to analyze the differences in the modification of the NEWS observation sheet on the emergency conditions of patients at the hospital. Methods: The type of research used is quasi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test control group design. With a population of 160 patients and a total patient sample of 62 patients with 31 patients for the intervention group and 31 patients for the control group. How to take samples with purposive sampling technique. The independent variables in this study were the NEWS observation sheet and the NEWS modification, while the dependent variable was the patient's emergency condition. The instruments in this study were NEWS observation sheets and NEWS modifications, integrated patient development record sheets, pre-test and post-test sheets. Data analysis used Wilcoxon test and Mann Whitney test with a value of α = 0.05. Results: The results showed that the modification of the NEWS (National Early Warning Score) observation sheet with a graphic was more influential than the NEWS observation sheet in increasing vital sign monitoring with p=0.00, while the NEWS observation sheet as a control had an influence with a significant level of p=0.043, both the model shows that it is equally influential in detecting changes in patient conditions and as an aid in communicating with other health workers. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that after being given a modified NEWS observation sheet which is a scoring system that is simple, practical and proven to increase alertness and response to signs of bad physiological changes so that patient safety can be monitored optimally and mortality rates can decrease.

Abstract

Background: A common symptom of SAD is significant impairment in interpersonal relationships that can affect various aspects of life as well as daily functioning and lead to decreased quality of life. Individuals with high social anxiety will tend to withdraw from social environments. Purpose: This can eventually lead to loneliness and depression. Therefore, early detection is needed to find a diagnosis early on and prevent the condition from worsening. This review aims to determine the clinical picture in patients with SAD and to find out the instruments that /have been used for clinical enforcement in the field. Methods: We conducted a comprehensive search for full-text articles comprising case reports, case-control studies, cohort studies, and cross-sectional studies published between January 1, 2013, and December 30, 2023. The search encompassed databases such as PubMed, ScienceDirect, SAGE, and Scopus. It's important to note that this review does not delve into other clinical conditions associated with Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD), such as anxiety and depression, as they have been addressed in separate discussions. Additionally, the identification of anxiety and depression is excluded from this review. Results: Out of 78 articles that were screened, only 56 met the eligibility criteria to be selected for further review. The initial steps that need to be taken include 1) defining the research objectives; 2) establishing inclusion criteria; 3) developing a search strategy for data retrieval or study selection; 4) collecting data; 5) assessing the quality of studies; and 6) synthesizing the results. Risk of bias was performed using FEAT principles and reviewers’ discussion. A total of 11 final articles that were reviewed showed a significant correlation between anxiety disorder and detection. Conclusion: As individuals with SAD are large in number, based on this review, early detection is required using methods used by local health regions such as through interviews or clinical symptom assessment. This aims to find cases as quickly as possible and provide appropriate interventions.
