Abstract

The aim of this research is to improve speaking skill of elementary teacher by using Role Play. . Data of this research uses pre – test and post – test of 30 teachers in SD IT ANNUR Gemolong Sragen. Meanwhile, this research was conducted using proportional stratified random sampling for taking its data sample andindependent sample t-testfor analyzing its data. According to the research result, the average of pre-test in 4th grade, 5th grade and 6thgrade (before any treatment) is lower than the post test. The data analysis shows that the average of pre-test is 54 and post-test is 72 for the teachers of 4th grade, the pre-test is 51 and post-test is 73,5 for teachers of 5th grade, the pre-test is 49,5 and post-test is 82 for the teachers of 6th grade. Students had improvement in understanding the materials after Role Play Method was given. It means that Role Play Method can improve teachers’ English speaking skill.Keywords: Teaching, English Teaching Method, Teaching Speaking, Role Play Method

Abstract

Kegiatan IbM yang diusulkan bertujuan membentuk dan mengembangkan masyarakat yang mandiri secara ekonomi dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat dengan memanfaatkan limbah kayu menjadi produk kreatif yang bernilai ekonomis tinggi. Permasalahan prioritas yang akan ditangani dalam kegiatan IbM ini adalah: bagaimana membentuk system pemberdayaan pengrajin kayu sehingga dapat mengolah limbah menjadi produk bernilai ekonomi. Target khusus dari kegiatan IbM ini adalah : 1) Kesadaran dan motivasi mitra, akan dampak limbah kayu yang mengganggu masyarakat, sebenarnya dapat diolah menjadi produk bernilai ekonomi tinggi, 2) pengetahuan, kemampuan, ketrampilan dan kreativitas mitra untuk dapat membuat produk mainan edukasi dari limbah kayu yang berkualitas, bernilai seni dengan desain unik dan beragam dapat meningkat, 3) kemampuan mitra untuk melakukan kegiatan promosi untuk mengenalkan produk mainan edukasi dari limbah kayu kepada konsumen potensial dengan menggunakan berbagai media dapat meningkat. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra adalah dengan metode pelatihan, pendampingan, penyuluhan. Hasil kegiatan dalam program IbM yang diusulkan berupa model pemberdayaan yaitu, 1) pengolahan limbah kayu dan peningkatan kualitas produk olahan kayu. 2) peningkatan pengetahuan desain olahan limbah kayu dan penerapan teknologi berupa alat produksi. 3) keberlanjutan pendampingan dalam pembutan dan pemasaran produk education toys.Keywords: pengrajin kayu, limbah kayu, Education Toys.

Abstract

This activity aims at empowerment and development of snack business based on local potency. Mitra is a group of Micro small and Medium Enterprises community of Ganesha (KUB Bahtera) Purworejo and culinary group of Angudi Laras Purworejo (KBU Satu Hati). There are 8 participants. Problems faced by partners include: Lack of marketing access, low production capability, low access to capital for funding, Low financial management capability and business accounting administration, Limited human resources marketing and Production. To solve these problems, the program solutions offered are: 1) Increased marketing access, 2) Improvement of product processing techniques, 3) Strengthening of loan access to various funding sources, 3) improvement of financial management and business administration, and 4) Strengthening Partnership. The method used is training and mentoring. The results achieved are: the increasing ability of participants in the field of online marketing, enhancement of capabilities in designing product packaging, increasing sales through the implementation of online marketing, and strengthening the partnership relationship between groups.Keyword: snacks, business groups, online marketing

Abstract

Mother is a leader figure in a family who is in charge of managing family healthy food needs. The knowledge about hygienic food for the Family Welfare Coaching Mothers at Dasa Wisma Kalongan Kulon, Tasikmadu is still limited, because many of them come from poor families and have less educational background so that the basic knowledge of the family is not maximal (less attention). This community service activity aims to improve understanding of family welfare coaching mothers to know healthy and hygienic food, to improve understanding of family welfare coaching mothers about healthy and hygienic food characteristics and to improve awareness to society not to buy food at random. The method of counseling is done by lecturing method and explanation about healthy and hygienic food and contamination or contamination of bacteria in siomai sauce from peddlers with media poster and power point. The results of community service activities are family welfare coaching mothers understand about healthy and hygienic food and food contaminated or contaminated with bacteria, especially in siomai sauce. The conclusion of this community service activity is family welfare coaching mothers can know the benefits of healthy and hygienic food for body and family welfare coaching mothers are aware to be more careful in buying food outside so that family health, especially on school children is more secure and family welfare coaching mothers understood how to choose healthy and hygienic food for her family.Keywords: Family Welfare Coaching Mothers, health, hygienic, sauce of siomai

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk (1) meningkatkan pemahaman tentang pekarangan, sayuran organik dan teknik budidayanya; serta (2) meningkatkan keterampilan teknik membudidayakan sayuran secara organik. Sedangkan target khusus yang ingin dicapai adalah PKK Rt 05/RW 08 dapat memproduksi sendiri berbagai sayuran organik sehingga mnereka dapat merasakan manfaat dari nutrisi sayur yang belum memudar, rasanya yang masih segar, serta menghemat pengeluaran rumah tangga. Kegiatan ini telah dilaksanakan di kelurahan Banyuanyar kecamatan Banjarsari, Kota Surakarta, Jawa Tengah, yang diikuti 30 orang peserta dari PKK Rt 05/RW 08. Metode kegiatan yang digunakan adalah “pemberian pengetahuan dan pembentukan sikap melalui ceramah, diskusi, dan praktek budidaya sayuran organik. Hasil pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa Ibu-Ibu PKK Rt 05 RW 08 sudah dapat memahami dan membudidayakan sayuran organik secara benar.Kata Kunci : Pekarangan, sayuran organik, teknik budidaya

Abstract

The aim of this research is to improve English grammar skill of private vocational students by using Grammar Translation Method (GTM). The grammar itself focuses on simple present tense and simple past tense. Data of this research uses pre – test and post – test of 35 students majoring accounting in SMK Saraswati. Meanwhile, this research was conducted using proportional stratified random sampling for taking its data sample and independent sample t-test for analyzing its data. According to the research result, the average of pre-test (before any treatment) is lower than the post test. The data analysis shows that the average of pre-test is 52 and post test is 76. In this case, students had improvement in understanding the materials after the application of grammar – translation method in classroom. It means that Grammar – Translation Method can improve students’ English grammar skill, especially students having trouble to comprehend grammar material in fully English.

Abstract

The main objective of the community service activity is to provide the partners skills on coconut waste processing technology to transform coconut waste into products with economic value. Through this transfer of technology activity, it is expected that new entrepreneurs will emerge. In addition, it is hoped that the targeted partners will be able to transfer their newly-gained skills to the neighboring communities, particularly to the Family Welfare Program (PKK) members and coconut farmer groups in Kohod village, Pakuhaji sub-district. The approaches utilized to solve the existing problems are transfer of technology method (science and technology) and entrepreneurship to generate value-added products. The activities of the Community Service Program are divided into three stages: preparation, implementation, and monitoring. The outputs of this activity are nata de coco, briquettes, and liquid smoke. All participants could follow the activities well. They were very inquisitive about the materials shown by the presenters. Follow-up activities were conducted after the participants partially implemented the knowledge presented by the Community Service Team. The purpose of the follow-up activities is to study the impact of this community service activity. As a follow-up, the participants were required to demonstrate the production process of nata de coco, liquid smoke, and briquettes from coconut shells. It is to ensure that the participants understand each stage in the waste processing of the products. Through the evaluation, it is found that in relation to coconut processing, the participants have shown improvement in their knowledge and skills. They have also realized that there are opportunities to increase their income. Around 85% of the participants responded positively to the knowledge and skills instilled by the Community Service Team.Keywords : nata de coco, liquid smoke, briquettes, coconut shells

Abstract

Tujuan Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah pertama: Untuk memberikan penjelasan kepada para stakeholder pendidikan tentang: “Kebijakan Program Pendidikan Gratis dan Berkualitas Pada Stakeholder Dan Dewan Riset Daerah/ Litbang Bappeda Kabupaten Wonogiri”, agar lebih memahami dan mengaplikasikannya. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan ceramah, paparan, diskusi dan tanya jawab. Yang menjadi sasaran adalah Stakeholder Dan Dewan Riset Daerah/ Litbang Bappeda Kabupaten Wonogiri”. Hasil dan target yang diharapkan adalah agar para Stakeholder pendidikan dan Dewan Riset Daerah/ Litbang Bappeda Kabupaten Wonogiri” mampu melakukan inovasi tentang konsep pendidikan gratis di Kabupaten Wonogiri. Hasil yang diharapkan oleh para Stakeholder Dan Dewan Riset Daerah/ Litbang Bappeda Kabupaten Wonogiri adalah mampu menerima, memahami dan bersedia akan mengembangkannya kualitas pendidikan di Wonogiri. Sebagai tindak lanjut dan hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah akan dilakukan kajian sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan minat para pemerhati pendidikan untuk mewujudkan pendidikan gratis, tanpa mengurangi nilai kualitas dan pelayanan pendidikan.Kata Kunci: Kebijakan Program Pendidikan Gratis, Berkualitas.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative research.The short-term goal in this study is to find out whether intellectual capital has a positive effect on productivity, while for the long-term goal is to know how much intellectual capital plays a role in improving company performance.The data used is secondary data from the annual report (annual report).Population in this research is company which go public in Indonesia which is listed in BEI.The samples are companies that go public in Indonesia listed on the Stock Exchange in 2013 until 2015, which includesinfrastructure, utilities and transportation.Sampling is done with purpose sampling.Variable used is independent variable that is intellectual capital and as dependent variable that is productivity.Data analysis using multiple linear regression.The result of this research is that there is negative influence of intellectual capital toward productivity in companies that go public in Indonesia.Keywords: intellectual capital,productivity

Abstract

Balm, a pharmaceutical product that is no stranger to the community, therefore, this product is one of the most potential commodities developed into a home industry that can improve the economy of the community. relatively simple balm formulation and easy in material, is very possible to be applied in the community. This article is a form of publication of community service that has been carried out on Tuesday, February 6, 2018,at RW XXII Bibis Luhur Kel. Nusukan Kec. Banjarsari Surakarta Central Java. This community service is entitled "training of sticks from herbal and pioneering industry as a home industry" which aims to provide understanding and skill through counseling, training, and application of herbal balsam in the form of sticks, and utilization in health by empowering natural resources optimally, produce new products, besides can be made for self-use, sticks balm is a product that is very much needed by the community, so it is possible to develop its production in the scale of home industry to improve the economy of the community.
