Abstract

According to KPU data, the abstention rate in the 2014 elections in Indonesia is still relatively high, namely 49,212,161 (29.1%) out of 176,411,434 permanent voters. The low political participation of the Indonesian people is caused by several factors. One of them is the lack of election education and also the high abstention rate. The data from the SUKOHARJO KPU states that community participation in elections has increased to 80% and the abstention rate has decreased to 4%, while this increase is not accompanied by a decrease in abstention among gen Z In Sukoharjo Regency, which actually experienced an increase in abstention of 2.21% from 2014 to 2019 in the presidential election contestation.The research was conducted with the aim of the communication strategy formed by the Sukoharjo KPU in order to reduce the abstention rate of the 2024 presidential and vice presidential elections among the Z generation. In a process of implementing this research, data collection methods were carried out through interviews with informants. The informants selected were 6 people who were representatives of the Sukoharjo Regency KPU staff. Data is analyzed and conclusions are drawn qualitatively without numbers. Data validity is proven by direct interactive with data sources (Source Triangulation). The results of the conclusion show that the communication strategy carried out by the KPU (General Election Commission) of Sukoharjo Regency in order to reduce the abstention rate for the 2024 presidential and vice presidential elections among the Gen Z generation is carried out with 3 strategic steps. That is the socialization of the importance of elections, maximizing the use of social media owned and working on online campaigns (online pamphlets and political education videos). Where from the three strategic steps of the Sukoharjo KPU, all of which fulfill the occurrence of a good communication strategy as quoted according to Harold Lasswell's communication theory (1948). KPU's communication strategy fulfills the 5 elements of Who, Says What, In Which Channel, To Whom, With What Effect.

Abstract

The Surakarta City Tourism Office held a public activity to bring food and market food back to Surakarta City with a flagship programme called SICF (Solo Indonesia Culinary Festival). Through SICF 2023, all potential tourism supporters are developing. The consequences that must be carried out in the implementation of SICF 2023, the tourism and culture office of the city of Surakarta has difficulty if it organises internally so that it collaborates with stockholders and partners. one of the obstacles in organising SICF 2023 is in terms of integrated communication with all organising stockholders. the purpose of this research is to find out the planning, implementation and evaluation strategies of integrated communication carried out by the Surakarta Tourism Office and stockholders in organising SICF (Solo Indonesia Culinary Festival) 2023 as an effort to preserve traditional Solo food. In the process of conducting this research, data collection methods were carried out through interviews with informants. The informants selected were 4 people who were representatives of the tourism office, representatives of the Office of Cooperatives and MSMEs, representatives of the Industry and Trade Office and representatives of the Sinergi Semesta Event Organiser. Data were analysed and conclusions were drawn qualitatively without numbers. Data validity is proven by direct interactive with data sources (source triangulation). The conclusion shows that the successful implementation of SICF 2023 with the theme Ragam Cita Rasa Kuliner Nusantara was carried out by applying 4 main indicators, namely Defining the problem, Planning and programming, Taking action and communicating, and Evaluating the problem. Abstract

This research aims to describe the quality of service in creating population administration. The type of research used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. The data collection techniques used were (1) interviews (2) observation (3) documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data collection, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this research show that the quality of service in making Population Administration based on the 5 indicators proposed by Parasuraman, et al, namely the tangible dimension is adequate and has satisfied the applicant. Meanwhile, there are still shortcomings in the ease of accessing services, namely that there are still many people who do not know that services are online. Based on the Responsiveness dimension, it is quite good in responding to applicants, but there are some applicants who do not respond well due to miscommunication between employees and applicants, and also online facilities and infrastructure are not responded well because errors often occur and applicants have to contact the Population Service for action. continued and took quite a long time. Judging from the reliability dimension, assurance dimension and empathy dimension, it has been implemented well and the public is satisfied with the services provided by the Surakarta City Population and Civil Registration Service. Researchers provide recommendations for improving or updating online service procedures, improving the quality of the online registration application/web so that there are no frequent errors when operated by the public and promoting the official Surakarta City Dispendukcapil website to the public. Abstract

The rapid development of communication technology has also led to the development of communication media from conventional media to a social media platform. This development is then utilized by business actors to carry out promotional activities through social media for products. One of the media that is considered appropriate to use at this time is TikTok, TikTok media is considered to have promising prospects because its users are increasing day by day and is also popular among young people. Based on this description, researchers are interested in conducting research on how the Somethinc official brand strategy increases consumer buying interest through its TikTok account as a marketing tool. The research method used is documentation and interviews with Resellers and female students domiciled in Soloraya. The findings in this study highlight the importance of promoting a product on TikTok to build consumer awareness, and that TikTok has an important role in increasing consumer awareness and buying interest, thus showing the potential of the TikTok social media platform as an effective marketing tool for a business. Abstract

The issue of Jakarta's air pollution, highlighted in the 2024 Presidential Debate, has sparked both support and criticism in the public sphere, with various parties presenting opinions and critiques regarding the proposed solutions. As a social watchdog, the media is expected to be neutral. However, political affiliations and other interests often cause media to deviate from the principle of objectivity, thereby influencing public perception. This study aims to compare the framing strategies of Tvonenews.com and Metrotvnews.com in covering Anies Baswedan's responses to the air pollution issues in Jakarta during the First Presidential Debate of 2024. The research employs a qualitative method and the framing approach of Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki. The findings reveal that Tvonenews.com emphasizes Anies's sharp responses to criticisms from Prabowo Subianto, whereas Metrotvnews.com focuses on presenting policy explanations but does not delve deeply into the effectiveness of the policies or the broader context.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The use of technological advances in the development of cultural values ​​contributes to the integration of digital technology and culture which will become a special attraction for the wider community. Culture has philosophy, artistic and moral values ​​as well as entertainment. Meanwhile, the aim of this author is to examine the existence of the traditional media Wayang Orang Sriwedari as a development information medium in the digital era? The aim of this research is to examine the existence of the traditional media Wayang Orang Sriwedari as a development information medium in the digital era. This type of research uses qualitative descriptive research while data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation. Data sources use written reports, photos, documentation, field observations and websites. The results of research on wayang orang as a performing art that conveys values ​​in a symbolic, connotative and aesthetic form by conveying the message of rules, norms and life guidelines that are expected to be followed by the next generation as well as the existence of the traditional media of wayang orang Sriwedari as a medium for development information in the digital era so that continues to exist, strengthened by supporting factors, namely community appreciation, support from the government and innovation and creativity. In this way, it is a form of anticipation to introduce the younger generation so that later it can have an impact on the emergence of younger generations and consistent audience attendance. Abstract

Seperdua Kopi is one of the coffee shops located in Solo City, precisely at JL. Yos Sudarso No. 233, Kratonan, Serengan. Seperdua Kopi has a distinctive coffee taste resulting from a mixture of different coffee beans, such as its mainstay menu "Dailly Latte" which has a unique taste characteristic. This study was conducted to determine the perception of Seperdua Kopi Solo customers towards service quality. The theory used in this study is the perception theory according to Dedy Mulyana which states that perception is an internal process that allows us to choose, organize, and interpret stimuli from our environment and this process affects our behavior, the theory of service quality according to Tjiptono, namely service quality is a service or satisfaction service offered for sale. Service is a process consisting of a series of intangible activities that usually occur in interactions between consumers and service employees or physical resources, goods or service provider systems provided as solutions to consumer problems. This study is descriptive with qualitative methods. The results of this study conclude that Seperdua Kopi customer perceptions of service quality are positive and good. Customers are satisfied with the staff's ability to process the drink or food menu served to customers, the fast and responsive menu serving and ordering process, staff service that provides a friendly, polite and courteous attitude, staff concern in prioritizing customer needs and the comfort provided by staff through cleanliness and the atmosphere of the place. Abstract

Berita berasal dari realitas sosial yang terjadi dan menjadi suatu kebutuhan informasi yang tidak lepas dar kehidupan manusia, apalagi pada zaman sekarang membuat kebutuhan akan informasi sebagai faktor utama dalam mengetahui segala sesuatu yang sedang terjadi, terutama yang berhubungan dengan sesuatu yang dekat dengannya. pembuatan berita berisikan gagasan 5W + 1 H (What, Where, When, Who, Why, How). Sama seperti halnya dengan Harian Bhirawa Suravaya merupakan kantor berita yang bergerak di bidang birokrasi. Dalam penelitian ini penulis merumuskan masalah yakni “Studi Implementasi Manajemen Pemberitaan di Harian Bhirawa Surabaya”. Tujuandari penelitian yang dilakukan ini untuk mengetahui strategi seluruh wartawan dalam melakukan pembuatan berita dari proses peliputan berita hingga publikasi berita di Harian Bhirawa Surabaya. Penulis melakukan observasi secara langsung di Harian Bhirawa Surabaya, serta mendokumentasikan hal – hal penting di Lembaga tersebut. Hasil dari obesrvasi menunjukan bahwa para wartawan memiliki strategi manajemen dalam mempertahankan eksistensinya, seperti melakukan peliputan berita selarsa dengan bidang birokrat. Serta melakukan perencanaan, evaluasi, serta pelaksanaan kepada para wartawan.   Kata kunci: Berita, Wartawan, Harian Bhirawa Surabaya, Birokrasi .

Abstract

Jurnalistik atau kewartawanan erat kaitannya dengan pemberitaan, mulai dari proses pencarian, pengumpulan, peliputan, dan penulisan berita itu sendiri untuk kemudian disebarluaskan melalui media massa, media cetak, maupun media elektronik. Jurnalis merupakan seseorang yang bertugas dan bertanggung jawab dalam memberikan dan membuat berita yang valid untuk audiens atau pembaca. Jenis berita yang dibuat pun beraneka macam, mulai dari soft news, hard news, dan feature. Meski demikian masih banyak ditemui surat kabar dengan media cetak atau lebih familiar disebut Koran. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian observasi, observasi dilakukan di Harian Bhirawa Kota Surabaya dengan memperhatikan teknik manajemen kerja, waktu kerja dan suasana. Fungsi dari observasi ini adalah untuk memperjelas pemahaman mengenai Harian Bhirawa Kota Surabaya. Aktivitas jurnalistik Harian Bhirawa Kota Surabaya merupakan suatu kegiatan menghimpun, menulis, dan menyebarkan informasi aktual kepada publik. Pengelolaan manajemen pemberitaan yang baik sangat diperlukan dalam memproses sebuah berita mentah menjadi berita  yang siap terbit agar informasi yang akan disampaikan tidak menimbulkan masalah baru dan lebih efisien waktu. Abstract

The klitih phenomenon is an act of violence or criminality committed by children or adolescents, which has become a social problem that disturbs the local community. One of the klitih phenomena occurs in Pokak Village, Ceper District, Klaten Regency. Where the city of Klaten is one of the cities that has high crime in Central Java, and the majority of the perpetrators of criminal acts are teenagers who are still in school education. Researchers are interested in examining the communication experience of children who commit klitih. This study aims to describe social communication in the Communication Experience of Klitih's Child Perpetrators. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach that aims to explore phenomena related to the communication experience of children who commit klitih. Data collection in this study was carried out through interviews with klitih perpetrators, parents, and siblings as well as observation and documentation to support the interview results. The results of this study found that children who commit klitih tend to have communication experiences that are influenced by negative factors from their social environment, such as peer group pressure, lack of emotional support from family, and lack of positive interaction in the community.
