Abstract

This article provides a comprehensive introduction to research, focusing on the definition, objectives, and basic steps involved in the research process. Research is considered a systematic effort to answer questions and solve problems, and can be divided into various types, such as quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-method research. By providing a basic understanding of the research process, this article aims to help readers, especially students and novice researchers, understand and apply the principles of effective research. It explores the key characteristics that define quality scientific research. These characteristics include objectivity, systematicity, replicability, and accuracy. Through a literature review, this study found that objectivity is the foundation that allows research results to be widely accepted, while systematicity provides a clear structure to the process of data collection and analysis based on the literature review. These findings are expected to provide guidance for researchers and academics in conducting higher-quality research.

Abstract

Literature review is an important part of a research. Literature review is used as a basis for conducting research and a step to avoid duplication of research. This research uses a library research method by collecting information from various materials to be processed, concluded and presented simply. The results of the study show that literature review as a description of literature relevant to a particular topic not only provides a summary of research results but is also equipped with a critical assessment of the literature. By assessing and synthesizing various literatures from previous research, researchers will have a strong foundation regarding the urgency of their research

Abstract

Research is inseparable from research instruments. A good instrument is one that is valid and reliable. Validity means the instrument can be used to measure what it is supposed to measure. Validity refers to how well a test or tool measures what it is supposed to measure. Reliability refers to the extent to which the results of a measurement can be trusted. Validity and reliability are two crucial concepts that determine the quality of a measurement instrument. The purpose of this study was to determine the importance of validity and reliability in research for decision-making. This research method used library research from various materials such as reference books, previous similar research results, articles, and notes related to validity and reliability. The results showed that validity and reliability play a crucial role in research: improving the integrity of research results, ensuring proper data interpretation, being essential for decision-making based on research results, increasing confidence in research results, and without reliability, validity becomes questionable.

Abstract

Instruments play a crucial role in research. The importance of these instruments lies in generating data from the variables or focus of discussion by identifying their indicators. The research method used was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). SLR, as a research method, aims to comprehensively discover and synthesize research addressing specific questions using organized, transparent, and replicable procedures. Through inclusion criteria for relevant studies, articles were further categorized based on study characteristics or moderating variables, namely: year of publication, keywords based on the topic, journal indexer, country of study, applied research methods, data collection tools, sample study groups, and data analysis techniques.

Abstract

A variable in research refers to a measurable or observable characteristic or attribute that can vary between individuals, groups, or specific conditions. This study discusses various types of variables, including independent, dependent, and control variables, and the importance of operational definitions of variables in research. This research aims to provide a better understanding of how variables function in designing and conducting research, as well as their implications for the validity and reliability of research results. The findings indicate that appropriate variable selection and management are crucial for improving the quality and accuracy of research. The results of this study are expected to assist researchers in formulating and developing studies in the social and exact sciences.

Abstract

Thoughts about Sharia in Islam have experienced a significant evolution from its early days to the current contemporary era. Abdullah Ahmed Naim, a leading thinker in contemporary Islamic studies, offers a provocative perspective through his deconstruction of Sharia. An-Naim argues that Sharia should be seen as a product of human history and culture, not a static divine law. With a deconstructive approach, An-Nuaim highlights the importance of contextualizing Islamic law, emphasizing that the interpretation of Sharia must be adapted to continuously developing social needs and realities. This view invites in-depth discussion about the relevance and application of Sharia in the modern world. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a library study approach, where data is collected through collection from various academic sources, including books, journal articles and An-Na'im's own works. The analysis was carried out by reducing data, presenting the data, and continuing with drawing conclusions. The results of this research are that it can be seen that this approach is not only relevant for legal reform but also has significant implications for Islamic studies and society's understanding of pluralism in the legal context. Through the deconstruction of sharia, there is hope to create an Islamic legal system that is more just, inclusive and responsive to the challenges of the times.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology, the Industrial Revolution 4.0, and ongoing social changes demand that education become more responsive and adaptive to contemporary challenges. In this context, the implementation of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) in madrasas is essential for developing students' practical skills that are relevant to workforce demands and global challenges. This study aims to analyze the implementation of CBC at MTs Plus Al-Azhar Wlingi Blitar, evaluate its impact on students' competency development, and identify the challenges faced in its implementation. The research employs a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews conducted with the principal, teachers, and administrative staff directly involved in the CBC implementation. Based on interviews with the principal, curriculum vice principal, and teachers, the findings indicate that although there have been successes in CBC implementation, significant challenges remain. These include mastering more varied teaching techniques, time and resource constraints in project-based learning, and a gap between the skills taught and the needs of the industrial world. Proposed solutions include enhancing professional training for teachers, optimizing project-based learning planning, improving technological infrastructure, and strengthening partnerships with the industrial sector through activities such as field studies.

This study is a quantitative approach that is correlational. The sample in this study amounted to 93 female students who have been drawn using the Solvin formula and the value of e = 0.1 (10%) from a population of 1216 female students. The data collection technique used a questionnaire distributed to 93 female students and documentation. The instrument test is a validity and reliability test. The data analysis technique is simple linear regression. The results of the study showed that 65 female students (70%) were in the moderate level of dress, then 60 female students (65%) experienced catcalling treatment in the moderate level and the results of the influence of the way of dressing on the treatment of catcalling on female students had a significant negative effect, this can be seen from the t count of -7.268> -1.986 t table with a significance of 0.000 <0.05. So there is an influence of the way of dressing on the treatment of catcalling partially accepted. This means that the more sharia the way of dressing of female students, the more they will avoid catcalling.
