Abstract

This article is focused on describing the concept of competency-based Islamic religious education curriculum planning in schools and madrasas. This competency curriculum planning discussion aims to direct students towards the expected behavioral changes. The planning process involves determining goals and making decisions that will be realized in the form of activities or actions that focus on the future. This study uses a literature study design with a philosophical approach. The data analysis technique used is analytical technique, namely drawing conclusions about objects, both from thoughts, systematic images and factual in nature. The results of this study indicate that competency-based curriculum planning for Islamic Education (PAI) focuses on achieving students' competencies comprehensively, encompassing cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. This curriculum not only emphasizes mastery of subject matter but also fosters tangible behavioral changes and the development of relevant life skills. The expected competencies include critical thinking skills, social abilities, and the internalization of spiritual and moral values. Moreover, competency-based curriculum planning is characterized by clear concepts, a holistic approach, and a systematic framework. Learning objectives are formulated as observable and measurable behaviors, enabling accurate evaluation of educational outcomes. This study also highlights the importance of involving all components of the learning process, including educators, students, materials, methods, evaluations, institutional managers, and other educational resources. Therefore, competency-based curriculum design provides clear direction for PAI learning, ensuring the achievement of educational goals that support the development of students’ character as individuals who are faithful, knowledgeable, and morally upright.

Furthermore, students are expected to collect and organize their ideas before processing them into sentences that are in accordance with Arabic language rules. Supporting factors in this learning include correct pronunciation, adequate vocabulary, and understanding of grammar. The teacher acts as a facilitator who helps students understand the material and provides opportunities for discussion. In addition, the use of media such as textbooks, reading materials, and technology is also expected to enrich students' learning experience. In conclusion, teaching Maharah al Kalam at the beginner level requires a systematic approach and a variety of techniques to increase the effectiveness of learning, so that students can gain optimal Arabic language skills.

Abstract

Arabic language learning at various levels of education plays a strategic role in developing students' competencies, both as a formal subject and as a medium to understand religious literature and Arab culture. However, Arabic language teaching still faces significant challenges, particularly in the development of relevant, flexible, and student-centered teaching materials. Ideal teaching materials should be systematically designed, engaging, and oriented toward achieving the desired competencies. This study aims to analyze the concepts and principles of effective Arabic teaching material development.  The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a library research approach, referring to theories of education, language, and teaching material development. The analysis results show that the development of teaching materials must consider principles of relevance to the curriculum, effectiveness, efficiency, and adaptability to student needs. Additionally, theoretical approaches such as behaviorism, constructivism, and communicative methods provide a solid foundation for creating teaching materials that support active and participatory learning processes.  The integration of technology in teaching materials, such as the use of interactive and audiovisual media, is also an essential element for increasing students' interest and motivation. With innovative and contextual teaching materials, Arabic language learning is expected to enhance students' competence in active and functional communication while supporting the achievement of learning objectives efficiently and effectively

Abstract

This Community Service Activity (PKM) aims to enhance public understanding, particularly among the women of Majelis Ta'lim Utsman Bin Affan, regarding nikah sirri from the perspectives of Islamic law and state law. Through interactive socialization and guidance, participants were provided with detailed explanations and engaged in discussions to facilitate better comprehension of the consequences of nikah sirri. These include its impacts on legal, social, and psychological aspects of family life. The activity showed significant results, with participants demonstrating an 80% improvement in understanding compared to their initial knowledge. This initiative not only increased participants' awareness but also encouraged them to share the knowledge gained with their families and communities. The education provided highlighted the importance of considering religious, legal, and social dimensions in choosing formally registered marriages. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of religious values in shaping adolescents' character in facing negative influences, particularly LGBT, in both the school and family environments. The methods used in this research include in-depth interviews with Mr. Wawan Iwank Kurniawan, an Islamic Religious Education teacher at SMKN 1 Cikampek, and direct socialization to students in the classroom to enhance their understanding of the importance of religious values in dealing with such social issues. The findings indicate that religious values such as faith, worship, and morality play a crucial role in shaping adolescents' character. Parents, as the "first madrasa," play a primary role in instilling religious values from an early age, while schools contribute by reinforcing religious understanding through humanistic and relevant teaching. Although most parents at SMKN 1 Cikampek are aware of the importance of religious education at home, challenges in optimizing their role still exist. The collaboration between parents and schools has proven effective in strengthening students' character and countering negative influences such as LGBT.
