Abstract

The study of knowledge and faith in Islam holds great urgency, especially in understanding how both serve as key factors in elevating a Muslim’s rank. Surah Al-Mujadalah [58]:11 affirms that Allah raises the ranks of those who believe and those endowed with knowledge. This study aims to examine the interpretation of the verse from the perspectives of Fakhruddin al-Razi in Mafatih al-Ghaib and Muhammad Izzat Darwazah in At-Tafsir al-Hadith, in order to understand the meaning of believers and the knowledgeable, as well as the concept of “ascending in rank in the sight of Allah” as explained in classical and modern exegesis. This research employs a comparative method through a library research approach. The results show that both al-Razi and Darwazah agree that faith is not merely verbal acknowledgment, but must be realized through concrete actions. However, al-Razi emphasizes the hierarchical relationship between knowledge and levels of faith, where deeper knowledge leads to higher spiritual attainment. Meanwhile, Darwazah highlights the social dimension of faith and knowledge through ethics, manners, and social practice in communal life. These differences indicate that classical and modern exegesis possess distinct interpretative orientations in understanding the relationship between knowledge and faith in QS Al-Mujadalah [58]: 11.

Abstract

In Muslim-majority yet religiously plural societies, da‘wah increasingly unfolds within multicultural and digitally mediated public arenas where its social and ethical consequences are closely scrutinized. Although recent scholarship on digital da‘wah has generated important insights into media adaptation and audience engagement, it often conceptualizes da‘wah instrumentally, prioritizing visibility and communicative efficacy over ethical formation. This article reframes da‘wah as moral presence, understood as ethics-centered communication grounded in embodied character, relational restraint, and public responsibility. Employing the Qur’anic moral figure of ʿIbad al-Rahman as a conceptual lens, the study develops a normative framework that foregrounds ethical subjectivity as integral to communicative effectiveness in plural contexts. Rather than offering textual exegesis, the article synthesizes empirical findings on digitally mediated preaching, intercultural sensitivity, and religious personality with normative discourses on harmony and moderation. It argues that da‘wah attains public legitimacy not through persuasion alone, but through the moral comportment of the da‘i as a public ethical actor.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of public trust in zakat management by LAZISNU Metro City and to determine the role of the partnership between LAZISNU Metro City and BMT Artha Buana Metro in improving the effectiveness of zakat management. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation with informants consisting of the Head of LAZISNU Metro City, the Manager of BMT  Artha Buana Metro, and one of the muzakki. The collected data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that the level of public trust in zakat management by LAZISNU Metro City is still not fully optimal, as some people still prefer to distribute their zakat directly to mustahik. However, from the institutional perspective, the level of public trust shows an increase, which is indicated by the growing number of muzakki and community participation in LAZISNU social programs. The partnership between LAZISNU Metro City and BMT Artha Buana Metro is implemented in the form of cooperation in the collection and distribution of zakat funds in a formal and administrative manner. Factors influencing public trust include trust in the institution, a well-planned organizational work system, centralized management of zakat funds, and the mechanism of zakat distribution carried out through a survey process of prospective mustahik. Based on these findings, it is recommended that LAZISNU Metro City continue to improve transparency and accountability in zakat management, strengthen public socialization regarding the importance of distributing zakat through official institutions, and optimize cooperation with Islamic financial institutions such as BMT to enhance the effectiveness of zakat collection and distribution.

Abstract

Man is a perfect being created by the Lord as a filling and casting agent to accomplish the task which he has been given. Human beings as caliph are so often misunderstood by most people. Most people misinterpret the concept of human caliph itself, assuming that man as a caliph is directed toward men as a woman.  Such efficiency would certainly violate the very definition of caliphate. Since the qur 'an and the mufastors were clearly not claimed that the caliph was directed to men only. We reflect to the qur 'an that in every verse it is mentioned, there is no reference to caliph towards men only, because all the caliph words that are in general meaning, do not point to a single gender.  From here it must be understood, that human beings as caliph are addressed to all male and female sexes. Because humans are defined by men and women. There's no text that humans are just men. It is this understanding that needs to be clarified and explained, as in this infamy will provide a description that man as the caliph is addressed to men and women.

This study will examine the implementation that occurs in society engaging in fundraising activities. This research is qualitative and falls under empirical juridical research. The approach used is statutory with a descriptive method. Data for the study are sourced from observations, interviews, and literature studies of legislation, books, journals, and other documents. The findings of this research are as follows: First, there is a gap between existing legal regulations and practices in the field, especially regarding supervision of the implementation of fundraising activities. Second, the impact of the Bandung City Social Welfare Office's performance and the implementation of fundraising activities in general can improve the welfare index, but there are still many areas that need improvement. Third, Bandung City Regional Regulation Number 24 of 2012 was created as a form of state responsibility (mas’uliyyah ad-daulah). The Bandung City Government provides social guarantees in two forms. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of financial readiness in strengthening family resilience in Indonesia through the perspective of national development law and Maqasid Sharia. The research employed a normative legal method using conceptual and statutory approaches. Data were collected through library research from legislation, scientific journals, academic books, and macroeconomic data published by Statistics Indonesia and the Financial Services Authority. The results indicate that financial readiness has a close relationship with family resilience because it affects the economic, psychological, and social stability of households. Financial literacy, cash flow management, emergency funds, investment, and financial protection are important factors in maintaining family sustainability amid economic instability. In addition, the concept of financial readiness is closely related to the principle of Hifz al-Mal in Maqasid Sharia as a form of protection for family economic sustainability. Therefore, strengthening financial readiness can become an important strategy for developing independent and sustainable families.

Abstract

This research was conducted to examine the use of digital information systems to improve the quality of Quran memorization in junior high school students. The background of this research is based on the demands of Quran memorization educational institutions to adapt digital technology as a supporting instrument for learning and monitoring Quran memorization. The purpose of this study is to analyze the concept of digital information systems, describe their implementation by Quran memorization administrators and student guardians, and identify supporting and inhibiting factors in improving the quality of Quran memorization in first-grade junior high school students. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study approach. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted interactively through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions using triangulation techniques to ensure data validity. The results indicate that digital information systems play a role in increasing transparency, the effectiveness of memorization monitoring, and the involvement of student guardians. However, optimizing their use still faces obstacles such as limited digital literacy, technology access, and system stability. This study confirms that the integration of digital information systems with tahfizh learning management and Islamic boarding school culture is able to improve the quality of tahfizh Al-Qur’an in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

QS. Al-Baqarah [2]: 222 discusses menstruation through the concept of adha, the prohibition of sexual intercourse, and regulations of cleanliness until a state of purity is attained. In the classical exegesis of al-Qurtubi, this verse is understood within the normative-legal framework of fiqh al-taharah, thereby confining its meaning predominantly to ritual jurisprudential rulings. Such an approach reveals limitations in interpreting menstruation as a multidimensional phenomenon that also encompasses biological and psychological aspects. This study is a library-based research employing an integrative thematic exegesis approach, combining linguistic analysis, al-Qurtubi’s tafsir, and relevant biological and psychological literature. The findings indicate that adha refers to biological disruption and physical-emotional discomfort, rather than merely “impurity”. The phrase fa’tazilu is also understood as a protective restriction of sexual relations, rather than social isolation. The integrative analysis demonstrates that menstruation represents the unity of physiological, psychological, and spiritual dimensions. Thus, the verse is not solely normative-legal in nature, but also contains protective, relational, and reflective meanings in understanding women’s bodily experience in a more holistic manner

Abstract

Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah plays a strategic role in shaping the character and religious understanding of students (students). The sustainability and quality of Madrasah Diniyah implementation are greatly influenced by the ability of the institution's management to manage the roles of all members of the Madrasah community, including the principal, teachers, guardians, and the community. This study aims to describe and analyze Madrasah Diniyah management in managing the roles of members of the Madrasah community at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Nurul Anwar Karduluk, Sumenep Regency. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study approach. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Research subjects included the Madrasah principal, teachers, guardians, and other relevant parties. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with data validity tested using source and technique triangulation. The results indicate that Madrasah Diniyah management in managing the roles of members of the Madrasah community is implemented through four management functions: planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring. Planning is carried out in a participatory manner, involving members of the Madrasah community. The organization of roles is tailored to the competencies and conditions of each madrasah member. Role implementation is quite effective, despite limited facilities and resources. Internal supervision is conducted by the madrasah principal through evaluation of learning activities and madrasah programs. This study concludes that participatory management contributes positively to the sustainability and effectiveness of madrasah diniyah management.
