Abstract

Peace in the Central Asia region is a very dynamic situation and changes rapidly from time to time based on the important role of each country in the region. Various conflicts of interest occur in Afghanistan, ranging from the internal conflict in Afghanistan itself and external conflicts involving many countries including the United States, Israel, Russia, and so on. Indonesia, as one of the countries with the largest number of Muslims, also has a major concern for peace in the Central Asia region, especially Afghanistan. This study aims to analyze Indonesia's role in achieving peace in the Central Asia Region, especially in the Afghanistan conflict area. The approach used is the System Dynamic method approach. This method is expected to be able to provide scientific contributions in analyzing Indonesia's role in peace in the Afghanistan region so that it becomes the main basis and consideration in making important decisions and policies towards peace in Afghanistan. The results achieved in this study are several analyzes of the role of Indonesia which is very dynamic based on a systemic concept that produces a dynamic causal loop diagram system that reflects the dynamic efforts by Indonesia to participate in maintaining peace in Afghanistan, under the politics of a free and active Indonesian state. Abstract

Sea transportation mode is still the favourite in the business world because of its high carrying capacity (capacity) and more competitive costs compared to other modes of transportation. As a country that has a vast marine area, Indonesia certainly has many problems related to its marine area. Indonesia faces various potential trans-national crimes that usually occur at sea such as illegal fishing, smuggling of goods, drugs and human, terrorism and piracy. Based on the complex conditions of the potential problems that arise in the maritime sector, all stakeholders and law enforcement officers at sea need integrated maritime information management to support their duties in maintaining security in Indonesia's waters. Therefore, it is hoped that the use big data of maritime information will be able to help stake holders involved in overcoming these problems. Abstract

Hospital Auxiliary Ship is an Indonesian Navy ship produced by PT. PAL Indonesia (Persero). The construction of this BRS ship was very time consuming and one of the main parts of the ship building project was the construction of the hull structure. In relation to time and production costs, the shipyard must be as efficient as possible in the use of time in each activity or activity, so that costs can be minimized from the original plan. Acceleration of the total duration in a project is done by accelerating critical activities in the project. To find out which are the critical activities of a project, the Critical Path Method (CPM) technique is used; namely by drawing a Network Diagram of the project. By using the CPM method in scheduling a ship hull construction project, it can be seen which activities should take precedence so as not to experience delays and waste. After that, the crashing method is carried out by increasing work hours (overtime) which aims to speed up the time of the project. The results of research for activities that are in the initial critical path with the CPM method can be seen as activities A, C, H, M, R, W, AB, AC, AD, AI, AP, AT, BA, BJ, BN. After accelerating, the critical path activities include activities A, C, H, M, R, W, X, AC, AD, AI, AP, AT, BA, BH, BO. Calculation of the project during initial conditions with Early working days without using overtime hours PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) costs Rp. 5,299,631,000, - while the Crashing Method is through the addition of 1 hour / day overtime so that the project implementation can be accelerated from the initial implementation of 450 days to 412 days and PT. PAL Indonesia (Persero) issued a project cost of Rp. 5,323,752,480, -. Keywords: Hospital Support Ship, Scheduling, CPM, Crashing.

Abstract

Abstract

Indonesian domestic workers have been an interesting issue for several years. The existence of the workers, in one side, has played significant roles in generating income, reducing poverty, and generating economic development of the sending country. But in another side, they have also created complicated problems. The problems have frequently involved multiple stakeholders including governmental, non-governmental institution, and private sectors. Therefore, this study focuses on explaining Government participation in managing Indonesian domestic workers in China. China was chosen due to the number of the domestic workers. In order to explain the phenomenon, the researchers used qualitative research method. Consequently, the primary data was collected from interview. In addition, documentary analysis was also used in order to support the data. The study showed that there are at least some Government involved in managing Indonesian domestic workers such as National Agency of Placement and Protection of Indonesian Workers, Private Agencies in sending and receiving country, Ministry of Labor, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. There are three processes of worker placement namely pre-placement, while-placement, and post placement. The private agencies participated practically in almost all of the process including recruitment, providing education and training, and placement the workers. While, other Government participate in providing administrative process such as providing agreement, documents needed, legalizing private agencies, and collecting the data of the labors. However, administrative process was not run properly. It was because the workers and private sectors have to report their conducting activities. This condition gave impact to the lack of control to the activities. This was also exacerbated by the lack of participation from the workers. They don’t have any information about the job and power to get protection. It was because of the existence of the law and lack of education. Therefore, knowledge about job, law, and involved Government was needed to increase participation and protection of the worker.
