Abstract

Abstract Speaking skills are one of the skills that students must have in improving English language skills. However, one of the factors that make students unable to master speaking skills is the lack of confidence possessed by students. In addition, to make students confident, one of them is by increasing practice in speaking English and a supportive environment. Through the English Day program, students are required to speak in English for 2 days when learning in class and outside the classroom. This study aims to increase students' confidence in speaking English through the English Day program. In collecting data, researchers used descriptive qualitative methods. The collection techniques in this study used observation and interviews. The subjects used in the study were Full English 3rd grade students with a total of 32 children. From the results and discussion it can be concluded that the English Day program can increase students' confidence in speaking English. However, there are some students who still lack confidence in speaking English with the surrounding environment. Keyword: Self-Confidence, Speaking skill, English Day Program Abstrak Keterampilan berbicara salah satu keterampilan paling penting yang perlu dimiliki siswa untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbahasa Inggris. Namun, salah satu alasan mengapa tidak dapat mengusai keterampilan berbicara yaitu siswa memiliki rasa kurang percaya diri. Selain itu, untuk membuat siswa percaya diri salah satunya dengan cara memperbanyak praktik dalam berbicara Bahasa Inggris dan lingkungan yang mendukung. Melalui program English Day siswa diwajibkan untuk berbicara dalam Bahasa Inggris selama 2 hari ketika pembelajaran di kelas dan luar kelas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk membuat tingkat kepercayaan diri siswa meningkat ketika berbicara Bahasa Inggris melalui program English Day. Dalam mengumpulkan data memakai metode kualitatif deskriptif. Terdapat 2 teknik yaitu melalui cara observasi dan wawancara. Subyek yang ada pada penelitian yaitu seluruh siwa kelas 3. Dari hasil dan pembahasan bisa ditarik kesimpulan bahwa program English Day bisa meningkatkan kepercyaan diri siswa untuk berbicara Bahasa Inggris. Namun, ada beberapa yang belum berani mempraktikkan di lingkungan sekitarnya. Kata Kunci: Kepercayaan Diri, Keterampilan Berbicara, Program English Day

Abstract

Islamic education worldwide demonstrates significant diversity, shaped by various social, cultural, historical, and political factors specific to each country. This research explores how Islamic education is implemented across different regions, including the Middle East, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Europe, and America, and how variations in Islamic traditions and interpretations influence educational systems in each community. Using a qualitative approach with descriptive-analytical techniques, the study integrates literature reviews, interviews with Islamic education practitioners, and field observations at representative Islamic educational institutions. The findings reveal that while Islamic education is rooted in the teachings of the Quran and Hadith, its practices vary greatly depending on local socio-cultural contexts. For instance, in the Middle East, Islamic education is often integrated into national education systems, whereas in Western countries, it emphasizes inclusivity and diversity. In conclusion, despite the differences in practice, Islamic education plays a vital role in shaping individual and community character and addressing global challenges in the era of modernization and globalization.

Abstract

This study explores the dynamics of traditional and modern Islamic education within core and peripheral contexts, examining the challenges faced in a globalized world. The research utilizes qualitative analysis through a combination of literature review and case studies of Islamic educational institutions in both core and diaspora regions. Traditional institutions like pesantren and madrasahs preserve religious and cultural identity but often face criticism for their lack of relevance in modern contexts. The integration of secular curricula in Islamic education is critical for preparing the younger generation to meet global demands. Islamic education in the diaspora faces unique challenges in balancing traditional identity with local values. Moreover, the educational access gap in peripheral areas exacerbates these challenges. The study recommends an integrative educational model that bridges traditional and modern approaches, ensuring the relevance, adaptability, and sustainability of Islamic education. The research aims to offer insights into how educational institutions can adapt to globalization and the changing needs of society.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of Maqasid Syariah principles in religious court decisions related to child paternity cases, with a focus on Decision Number 123/Pdt.P/2024/PA. Prob. This research is motivated by the importance of protecting the nasab and rights of children in Islamic family law, as well as the need to understand how Indonesia's positive law can accommodate sharia values in the context of the family. This study uses a qualitative method with a type of empirical juridical research that focuses on field research. Data was obtained through interviews with related parties, observation of the trial process, and analysis of court decision documents. The findings show that the religious court's decision to reject part of the application in this case has reflected efforts to uphold the principle of hifz al-nasl (protection of offspring), but there are some inconsistencies in the application of hifz al-mal (protection of property) regarding the distribution of inheritance and protection of guardians of children. The findings are expected to provide new insights into how the principles of Maqasid Syariah can be integrated into the Indonesian legal system, as well as the importance of adjustments in the application of the law to better accommodate the rights of children and families based on Islamic teachings.

Abstract

Citizens have a fundamental role in the life of the nation and state, where they become both the subject and object in the administration of the state. Therefore, the state has an obligation to guarantee the rights of citizens and ensure they fulfill their duties. This research aims to analyze the rights and obligations of citizens from a legal perspective. The research method used is juridical-normative, by collecting and analyzing secondary data sourced from primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. The research results show that the rights of Indonesian citizens have been guaranteed in the 1945 Constitution, including the right to personal data, the right to a good and healthy environment, and the right to receive health services. On the other hand, citizens also have an obligation to obey the law, pay taxes, and participate in national development efforts. This research concludes that the state has a responsibility to protect and fulfill the rights of its citizens, while also ensuring that citizens fulfill their obligations in order to create an orderly and prosperous life as a nation and state

Abstract

Interpersonal communication is one of the key elements in effective communications. The ability to communicate personally and in depth with the Jamaah can be a very powerful tool in conveying religious messages and building a close relationship with the Mad’u. The aim of this study is to find out how strategies of communications of devotion use interpersonal communication approaches. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with critical discourse analysis techniques. The subject of this research is the Gus Muhammad Iqdam Kholid, and its object is on Gus Mohammad Iqdan KHolid's document on the youtube platform. The data collection techniques used in this research are observation and documentation. As for the data analysis method used, the critical discourse analysis technique. Based on the results of this study, it is shown that the strategy of communication using the interpersonal communication approach of Gus Muhammad Iqdam Kholid exists two types, namely diadema and triadema. The mechanisms used are: 1. determining the theme or object of the conversation, 2. exchanging views and thoughts, 3. finding a better solution.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi pengelolaan Koperasi Pondok Pesantren (Koppontren) Al-Ma’arif Sintang dengan pendekatan Maqasid Syariah dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan anggota. Peneltiian dilakukan dengan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis terhadap wawancara kepada pengurus dan anggota koperasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, koperasi ini beroperasi berdasarkan maqasid syariah dan prinsip koperasi sesuai Undang-Undang No. 25 Tahun 1992, yang meliputi keanggotaan sukarela, pengelolaan demokratis, pembagian Sisa Hasil Usaha (SHU) yang adil, serta kemandirian finansial. Pendekatan Maqasid Syariah menunjukkan bahwa koperasi mendukung nilai-nilai agama (hifzh ad-din), kesejahteraan jiwa (hifzh an-nafs), pengembangan intelektual (hifzh al-‘aql), pengelolaan harta yang halal (hifzh al-mal), dan stabilitas keluarga (hifzh an-nasl). Melalui unit usaha seperti simpan-pinjam, kantin santri, dan ATK, koperasi memberikan dampak positif pada peningkatan pendapatan, perbaikan fasilitas tempat tinggal, akses pendidikan, dan kesehatan anggota. Sebagian keuntungan juga dialokasikan untuk pembangunan pesantren dan beasiswa santri, mencerminkan komitmen sosial koperasi. Koperasi ini menghadapi tantangan seperti optimalisasi unit usaha yang belum berkembang dan partisipasi anggota. Rencana pengembangan, termasuk diversifikasi usaha dan perluasan layanan, diharapkan memperkuat keberlanjutan koperasi. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa Koppontren Al-Ma’arif Sintang dapat menjadi model inspiratif dalam pengelolaan koperasi pesantren yang mengintegrasikan nilai ekonomi, sosial, dan spiritual.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji tentang dialog lintas agama dalam perspektif agama Islam dan Kristen, serta fungsinya sebagai tali pengikat kebhinekaan di Indonesia. Indonesia dengan ciri khas negaranya yang kaya dengan budaya dan agamanya jika tidak diminimalisir dengan pemahaman inklusif dan dialog, maka akan menjadi sumbu terjadinya gesekan sosial (konflik). Kebhinekaan di Indonesia perlu dirawat dengan upaya bersama dalam berdialog satu sama lain untuk saling memahami. Penulisan artikel ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan langkah library research. Sumber primer diambil dari buku dan jurnal bereputasi sebagai bahan kajian utama, dan sumber sekunder diambil dari website dan pendapat para tokoh perbandingan agama. Model analisis data yang digunakan dalam artikel ini yaitu ala Miles & Huberman, yang melibatkan reduksi data, display data, perumusan kesimpulan, dan verifikasi. Hasil temuan artikel ini adalah dialog bukanlah tempat untuk berpolemik, berdebat, atau memaksakan keyakinan seseorang kepada pihak lain. Masing-masing individu maupun kelompok harus dan wajib mengamalkan upaya saling memahami satu sama lain dalam pola beragama mereka. Harapan besar berlabuh bahwa dialog akan dapat menerangi jalan bagi kemanusiaan yang ada dalam semua agama. Para pemeluk agama didorong untuk lebih menerima pemeluk agama lain melalui dialog antar agama. Alih-alih mempromosikan kekerasan dan perselisihan, agama seharusnya berkembang menjadi wacana spiritual yang mempromosikan keamanan dan ketenangan di tengah keragaman dan kebhinekaan negara Indonesia.
