Abstract

The Objective of the research is to study the effect of the extension strategy, the educational level and the interaction effect of those two variables to concern on the environmental health. The research was conducted in Purwakarta Regency with a sample of 36 housewives by using an experiment with analysis technique was used ANAVA with 2 lines; 2x2 factorial design, significantly ?: 0,05. Based on the results of these research are: 1) Basically we could find the influence towards the housewives concern on the environmental health of using the cooperative extension strategy and the presentation strategy. 2) The housewives who have high educational level more highly concern towards the environmental health than of those who received presentation. 3) The housewives who have low educational level and received presentation strategy more highly concern towards the environmental health than of those who received cooperative strategy. 4) There is an interaction between extension strategy and the educational level towards the housewives concern on the environmental health.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media grafis dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA kelas VII SMP Negeri 209 Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik penelitian tindakan kelas, yaitu suatu tindakan yang dilakukan oleh guru untuk memperbaiki atau meningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di kelas. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa proses pembelajaran IPA dengan menerapkan media grafis dalam proses belajar sangat sesuai dengan hasil belajar siswa yang tinggi, situasi belajar semakin menyenangkan dan diminati siswa. Nilai awal pada prasiklus yaitu 39 dengan nilai terendah 20 dan nilai tertinggi 60, kemudian pada siklus I rata-rata nilai yang diperoleh siswa mengalami peningkatan yaitu 61 dengan nilai terendah 45 dan nilai tertinggi 85 dan bertambah meningkat pada siklus II dengan rata-rata nilai 69 dengan nilai terendah 45 dan nilai tertinggi 85, kemudian pada siklus III semakin meningkat secara signifikan dengan rata-rata nilai 84 dengan nilai terendah 75 dan nilai tertinggi 95. Hal ini menunjukkan kemajuan, dimana siswa telah mendapatkan hasil belajar yang meningkat dari prasiklus, siklus I sampai dengan siklus III. Kata kunci: Efektivitas, Media Grafis, Hasil Belajar IPA.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the method of learning the physics student learning outcomes, to determine the effect of the level of formal reasoning students' physics student learning outcomes, and to determine the effect of the interaction methods of learning and level of formal reasoning. The method used is the method exsperimen. Samples were taken by 30 students to 15 students in the control class and 15 students of class exsperimen, and simple random technique. The data was collected by distributing directly to the sample test. Data analysis using descriptive statistics such as finding the mean, median, mode, standard deviation, and inferential statistics is to find the coefficients. The results showed: 1) a positive effect on learning outcomes approach to learning physics students with Fcount (43.199)> F table (4.02). 2) There was a positive influence on students' level of formal reasoning physics student learning outcomes Fcount (10.746)> TTable (4.02). 3). The interaction method of learning with students' level of formal reasoning with the Fcount (8694)> F table (4.02). 4) There is an average difference between the learning outcomes approach to learning (inquery and conventional) with t0 = 5.585 and sig = 0.000 <0.05. 5) There is an average difference between the levels of learning outcomes of formal reasoning (High and Low) with t0 = 2.291 and sig = 0.026 <0.05.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of satisfaction of mathematics education students to the service of the study program. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. Subjects in this study are active students of mathematics education courses semester academic year 2016/2017. Aspects reviewed to find out the satisfaction of the service of mathematics education program based on five dimensions of responsiveness, reliability, empathy, assurance, and tangibles. The results showed, in general of the five dimensions, the satisfaction of students of mathematics education to service study program in terms of five dimensions feel quite satisfied.

Abstract

The general objective of this research is to find and analyze empirically the influence of students' perceptions of pedagogical competence of teachers and learning habits of students together to learn mathematics achievement. Influence student perception of pedagogical competence of teachers to learn mathematics achievement and learning habits influence students to learn mathematics achievement. The research design used by the three variable regression technique which consists of two independent variables, namely the perception of students about the pedagogical competence of teachers and students' learning habits and the dependent variable, namely the achievement of learning Mathematics. The resulting regression equation Y = -207 + 1.37 X1 + 1.54 X2 with a correlation coefficient of 0.919 and a coefficient of determination 0.844 or 84.4%. It can be interpreted that the higher the students 'perceptions of teachers' pedagogical competence the better the learning achievement of the higher math and study habits, the higher the student achievement of learning Mathematics.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of logical intelligence and interest in learning to Mathematics achievement. The method used in this study from survey and the study was conducted in SMA Depok municipality. Techniques used in the data collection done by using a questionnaire written test multiple choice test and questionnaire. Analysis of the data in this study using descriptive statistical methods with multiple regression testing.where this research results showed in: there is a significant influence jointly between logical intelligence variables (X1) and interest in learning (X2) on mathematics achievement (Y),which means learners have a good logical intelligence and has been interested in Mathematics will greatly affect the learning achievement in SMA Depok municipality

Abstract

This paper discusses the provision of a summary as one component of the learning strategy that plays an important role in improving learning outcomes optimally. Summaries can be done at the beginning of learning, and can also be given at the end of the lesson. Giving a summary at the beginning of learning, work gives an overview on the learner about the content of the material will be presented, and help learners to determine attitudes toward the content of these materials will be presented. While granting summary of a presentation made at the end, serves to review the main ideas of the material that has been presented so that there is an opportunity for students to recall material that has been presented it. So the summary is a component of a strategy that includes all the content areas of study are important, such as understanding ¬-brief understanding of the concepts, procedures, or principles learned. There are five types of summaries are often used in learning, namely: verbal summary, summary charts, summary tabulations, summary groves, Summary schematic. While giving a summary of strategies that are often used, namely: learners is asked to make a summary of what has been taught, and learners is asked to make a summary of what has been read to show a better performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve SMP students’ activity and learning achievement, in mathematics, with the application of the Modeling the Way method, during the 2012/2013 academic year. This research is a classroom action research (PTK) that is conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of preparation, action, observation, and reflection. Cycle I and Cycle II are executed within three meetings each. Subjects are IXF grade students of SMP N 1 Ceper amounting to 24 students consisting of  9 male and 15 female students. The data was taken by increased observation of students’ activities during the learning process, while their achievement was measured by evaluating them in the form of tests. The results showed that: (1) The students’ activities have increased from the first cycle to the second cycle. (2) The students’ learning outcomes have also risen, as shown by an increase in the cycle’s final test results. The average final test scores, from cycle I to cycle II, has risen from 71.04% into 79.17%. While the minimum percentage of completeness increased from 70.83% to 87.5%. The test results of the second cycle have reached the indicator of the success that has been established when 80% of students reached the Value Minimum Criteria for completeness (KKM), which is 68. From the results above, it can be concluded that the application of the Modelling The Way method can increase the activity and learning achievement of IX SMP students during the 2012/2013 academic year. Keywords: Modeling the Way method, activity, and achievement

Abstract

There are several issues that arise related to education. Education is not the same as teaching. Education is a business that is conscious, deliberate, patterned, and can be evaluated by educators to foster and develop the potential that exists within learners. Direction of education policy at the level of the nation was held in the framework of the intellectual life of the nation that is based on faith and piety and noble character. Direction of the nation's education is aimed at producing human resources in Indonesia that have character: faithful and pious to God The Godhead, noble, healthy, knowledgeable, skilled, creative, independent, being a democratic citizen, and accountable. In the level of practice; the implementation of education has not implemented correctly in accordance with the direction of education policy. The practice at all levels; including at the level of early childhood and elementary school still more emphasis on teaching to the intellectual property in sharpening cognitive potential alone, and very little regard for moral education/character. For that, there needs to be a correction to the process of implementation of education policy to achieve quality education that produces superior human resource, righteous and noble.

Abstract

The mathematical problem-solving ability of students needs to be supported by the role of the teacher in the learning process of students. However, the learning that takes place in schools generally conducted teacher-oriented. Therefore, the need for learning that is able to facilitate students so that students become active in the learning process. Based on the above presentation, this research was conducted to determine the difference between the problem-solving ability of students to learn to use problem posing with students who learn to use problem-based learning. The sampling technique using a two-stage sampling, the technique purposive sampling and cluster random sampling, as tested homogeneity and normality, then, do equality test on average between classes. The sample measurements validity of using content validity, construct, and empirical. Instrument reliability coefficient is calculated using Cronbach Alpha. Testing normality test at significance level Liliefors? = 0,05. Testing homogeneity with Fisher's test and hypothesis testing was performed using t-test with a significance level ? = 0,05. The result of validity are t_(observe)=3,759 and t_0,95=1,664 , t_(observe)> t_0,95, then reject H_0. It can be concluded that the mathematical problem-solving ability of students to learn by learning problem-based learning is higher than the problem posing.
