The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of self-efficacy and locus of control on achievement of learning Mathematics. The method used was a survey. The sample size of 100 students in East Jakarta Regular SMAN randomly selected. Data collection is carried out by questionnaire and test engineering materials semester class X. Data analysis with path analysis techniques. The statistical test used t-test and SPSS. From the results of the study found that: (1) There is no direct effect of self-efficacy to locus of control with tcount = 0.8376 < ttable = 1.98; (2) There is a direct effect of self- efficacy to learning achievement Mathematics with tcount = 2.3148 < ttable = 1.98; (3) There is no direct effect of locus of control to learning achievement Mathematics with tcount = 1.8724 < ttable = 1.98; (4) There is no direct effect of self-efficacy to to learning achievement Mathematics through locus of control with tcount = -0.155 < ttable = 1.98.

The study objective was to determine the effect of the prior knowledge and interest in learning to learn Physics achievement. The method used in this study is a survey method. Analysis using multiple regression and correlation techniques. Sample size of 76 students obtained by Slovin technique. The instrument used was a multiple choice test to measure the prior knowledge and questionnaire to measure the interest in learning, while performance is taken from the document teacher learning. Results of the hypothesis test, namely (1) there is the influence of prior knowledge and interest in learning together toward physics learning outcomes (2) there is the influence of prior knowledge on learning outcomes of pyhsics (3) there is the influence of interest in learning on learning outcomes of pyhsics

This study aims to determine the attainment and increase the ability of understanding and communication students’ mathematical vocational high school (SMK) through learning by using constructivist Needham Model. This research is a quasi-experiment design with a control group of non-equivalence using purposive sampling technique. The population in this study were all students of class X SMK Pajajaran Bandung scattered in 6 classes, and that the research sample is as many as two classes. Of the two classified into two groups, the group learning by using Needham and conventional models. Class X PM used as the experiment group, while X AP classes serve as a control group. The data were analyzed quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative analysis was performed by using tt-test t’ test, Mann-Whitney U test. Qualitative analysis was conducted to determine the attitude of the students after getting a constructivism learning of Needham Model. Data collected through the test and attitude scale. The results showed that, (1) Improving the ability of mathematical understanding of students who get teaching Needham Model better than students who received conventional learning, (2) Increasing the capability of mathematical communication students who has learning with Needam Model better than students who received conventional learning, (3) in general, students showed a positive attitude towards learning mathematics, problems and communication as well as to study of mathematics that uses Needham Models Keywords: Constructivism Learning, Needham Model, The ability of mathematical understanding, mathematical communication skills.

This study aimed to analyze the improvement of critical thinking skills Improve mathematical methods to the material system of linear equations of two variables. The method used is the method of quasi-experimental data analysis using different test or the average of the t-test. Population affordable in this study were all students of class VIII A and VIII B grade SMP 248. Samples were obtained through random sampling techniques, namely random sample collection techniques. Testing requirements analysis consists of data from test to test methods Liliefors normality and homogeneity tests to test methods bartlett. Based on the results of the testing requirements of data analysis concluded that the two sets of data were normally distributed and homogeneous. Instrument variable mathematical critical thinking skills is a written test consisting of 20 items about. Based on the results of hypothesis testing and data analysis it can be concluded that the critical thinking skills of students who are taught mathematical improve method is higher than conventional methods. Based on these results, it is in an effort to improve students' critical thinking skills teachers should use mathematical methods improve.

This research aimed to determine the influences of variables of reading interest and learning motivation against students natural sciences achievement. The Research used a survey method with 100 sample students which taken by random sampling among the 8th-grade junior high school students in Sukmajaya district, Depok regency. Data collected with questionnaires that had been validated. The Research used multiple regression paradigms. The data were analyzed with statistic description and hypotheses test and also requirement data tests including normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test and heteroscedasticity test. The results of the research were: 1) reading interest and learning motivation were together significantly influenced students natural sciences achievement, 2) reading interest was not significantly influenced students sciences achievement 3) learning motivation was significantly influenced students sciences achievement.

This research was conducted for the purpose of getting a clear and complete picture conserning the quality of teaching and learning process through eveloping and implementing jigsaw type cooparative learning model for subject of Thermodynamics. The quality of teaching and learning process can be viewed by positive response of university students towards thermodynamics subject using the implemented jigsaw type cooparative learning model. The subject of this research were students of high school class X, semester II in the academic year of 2011/2012, which were listed as learning tools needed for thermodynamics of jigsaw type cooparative learning model. The learning tool which were being developed consist of teaching materials, learning plan, and student worksheet. The research prosedure consisted of developing the tools of teaching and learning process, and the followed by realization of learning in class using the jigsaw type cooparative learning approach. The research instruments were to be observation sheet and student response questionaire towards the learning process. The reseach data were analyzed using percentage statistic. Based on the refection result towards the action which was planned beforehand and also the researh result discussion, it was found that the learning process of hermodynamics which was done by implementing the jigsaw type cooparative learning model can increase student activity in his study. Implementing the jigsaw type cooperative learning can increase the learning result of students. Most of the students who partisipated in the thermodynamics class agree and give a positive apreciation towards the implementation of cooperative learning model. They believe that with the learning group can help them overcoming the learning deterrent.

This research was conducted with the purpose of knowing the self concept and anxiety influence students towards an understanding of mathematical concepts. The methods used in this research is a survey method. Affordable population are students of Class XI Science social sciences academic year 2014/2015 in Depok. Large sample as much as 90 students, with a sampling technique used was a combination of proportional and random, taken from three private schools. Research instrument used, namely the now self concept as much as 37 statement, now as many as 36 students anxiety statements, test understanding math concepts shaped 24 multiple choice question, which has been in test validitasnya. Data analysis using path analysis. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that: 1) there is a significant direct influence on the concept itself against the understanding of mathematical concepts. 2) there is a significant direct influence on anxiety of students towards an understanding of mathematical concepts. 3) there is a significant direct influence on the concept of yourself against anxiety students. 4) there is an indirect influence on the concept of understanding the mathematical concepts themselves against through the anxiety of students. Keywords: self concept, to the dismay of the students, understanding of math concepts.

Education has an important role in the information age and knowledge, which in this era of rapid change in many areas of life. Mind, knowledge, and the organization is a prominent factor in the era of information and knowledge. Educational institution should be able to prepare the profile of graduates who have the competencies relevant to the new age or information age. Some of the competencies necessary to be able to survive in the information age and knowledge are: 1) critical thinking ability and willingness to work hard, (2) creativity, (3) kalaborasi, (4) cross-cultural understanding, (5) communication, (6) operates a computer, (7) ability to learn independently. In this regard it is in science education should be reinforced with mathematics as a way of thinking of science, science laboratories equipped, the education of creativity, development of digital education.
