Abstract

ABSTRAK   Jati merupakan  salah satu spesies perkebunan yang menjanjikan di daerah tropis, maka perakitan calon tanaman jati unggul diperlukan. Untuk itu dilakukan penelitian dengan  tujuann menganalisis variasi genetik varian jati arboretum dengan penanda mikrosatelit. Sebelum melakukan analisis variasi genetik, terlebih dahulu dilakukan Optimasi kondisi PCR untuk berlangsungnya proses amplifikasi DNA sampel. PCR peka terhadap sejumlah parameter meliputi: magnesium klorida, DNA templat, konsentrasi primer, dan suhu annealing selama amplifikasi. Kondisi reaksi dioptimalkan sebelum amplifikasi guna menghindari produk amplifikasi tidak spesifik seperti ukuran pita DNA yang  heterogen. Di samping itu penggunaan pewarnaan perak juga perlu diperhatikan meliputi, komponen-komponen larutan yang digunakan, tahapan-tahapan pewarnaannya harus benar-benar dilakukan sesuai petunjuk dan butuh keterampilan serta kehatia-hatian. Hal ini dilakukan untuk memperoleh pola pita DNA yang baik sehingga memudahkan analisis selanjutnya dalam hal ini variasi genetik.   Kata Kunci: Varian Jati Arboretum, Optimasi, PCR , Mikrosatelit, Pewarnaan Perak

Abstract

This research is a development research with the aim to produce product in the form of IPA Module of Solar Matter Based on Perspective Al-qur'an Verses In SMPIT and MTs class VII. The problems in this study include, the limited module used as a reference of learning that contain the relationship between science materials and verses of the Qur'an. So that raises the formulation of the problem how to develop IPA module Solar Problem Material Based on Perspectives Al-qur'an verses are valid, practical and effective. This research is expected to facilitate the comprehension of students in understanding the science materials related to the verses of Al-Qur'an and not only to increase the knowledge of students but also to play a supporting role in filling the students character education. This research development uses R & D method (Research and Development) with 4-D development model (Four D Model) with three stages of research that is Define (define), Design (design) and Develop (development). The module validation test generated in this study was conducted by 3 expert validators in the field of science education.The trials were conducted on 20 MTs students. Manbail Futuh Jenu class VII. Data collection to test the practicality of this research using observation and test techniques. Collecting data of effectiveness using questionnaire technique. The results show that the modules developed have met the valid, practical and effective criteria.

Abstract

The development of science and technology encourages the development in the aspect of education including learning resources. Learning resources should be developed in accordance with the needs of students and curriculum that apply the curriculum 2013. LKS as a source of learning should contain a summary of material and some student activities in learning, but in reality LKS used today is not qualified (valid, practical, and effective) . The number of plants that grow in the school environment encourages the development of LKS, by identifying plants in particular leaves can be used as a material for the development of LKS, especially sub chapter based Plantae leaf morphology identification into LKS more qualified. This research is aimed to develop LKS Plantae based on leaf morphology to be valid, practical, and effective. This research is a research development with R & D method (Research and Development), and use model development of ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). LKS results of development will be measured validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Kevalidan is measured using instruments by experts, practicality is measured based on student activities during LKS use, effectiveness measured by improvements in learning outcomes and student responses. Validation results have been declared valid by experts with 79.17% percentage, the observation result of practicality get percentage of average 70% with practical criteria, student response result gets percentage average 98,5% with criterion very effective, result learn learn got 98% percentage and N-gain analysis result is 0.69 with medium criterion. So LKS is declared worthy as a teaching material for students.

Abstract

Scientific process skills are a very important skill in science learning process.Another thing that should also be considered is the cognitive style of students.Based on the description how the skills of science process students SMP Negeri 1 Jenu on learning Biology through Think Pair Share learning model with image-based media reflective cogitive style and impulsive cognitive style. The purpose of this research is to describe the skill of science process of students of SMP Negeri 1 Jenu on Biology learning through Think Pair Share learning model with image media based on reflective cognitive style and impulsive cognitive style.The type of this research is descriptive explorative.The subject of research data are 12 reflective students and 11 impulsive students. The instruments used are MFFT (Matching Familiar Figures Test) test sheets and students' science skill test sheets.Data collection techniques use MFFT (Matching Familiar Figures Test) tests and science skills process tests.Data analysis of science process skills based on reflective cognitive style and impulsive cognitive style tested by non parametric test of Mann Whitney.The results of research indicate that with Think Pair Share learning model with cognitive reflective-style student image media in answering science skill process problem in more detail, thorough and complete.While impulsive students are less detailed and less complete. The conclusions in this study there are differences in the ability of students' cognitive reflective-style student science skills and also students with cognitive impulsive style.

Abstract

The demand for curriculum 2013 requires students to think critically in the learning process. However, the current process of learning in schools about the aspect of critical thinking has not been empowered. In addition, another aspect that has also not been considered is the cognitive style of students. The cognitive style of the students shows the variation of student learning styles. The purpose of this research is to describe critical thinking based on reflective and impulsive cognitive style on students of SMP Muhammadiyah 15 Sedayulawas class VII-B in biology study of environmental pollution subject through Think Pairs Share model and poster media. This research is a descriptive explorative research type. Subjects in this study were students of SMP Muhammadiyah 15 Sedayulawas class VII-B consisting of 9 students of reflective cognitive style and 9 students of cognitive impulsive style. Data of critical thinking ability was obtained from the critical thinking test sheet of critical thinking indicator which refers to bloom taxonomy on C3 (Applied) and C4 (Analysis) level, while cognitive style data obtained from cognitive style test refers to known cognitive style test instrument (MFFT).Data analysis technique of critical thinking ability in non parametric statistical analysis with Mann Whitney test. For analysis of cognitive style data obtained by Matching Familiar Figures Test (MFFT) test. From the results of data analysis, students with reflective cognitive styles have higher critical thinking skills compared to students of impulsive cognitive styles. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the students' critical thinking ability with reflective cognitive style is better than the cognitive impulsive students after through the TPS (Think Pairs Share) learning model combined with the poster media.

Abstract

Biology lesson demands in the national curriculum are expected to be able to think critically. In addition, other aspects that must be considered in the learning of the cognitive style of students. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research that aims to describe the critical thinking ability of cognitive and implusive cognitive-style students in Biology learning through Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with Puzzle media. The subjects of this study consisted of 24 students of class VII G SMP Negeri 2 Tuban consisting of 12 students reflective cognitive style and 12 students cognitive style implusif. Data collection techniques in this research are Matching Familiar Figures Test (MFFT) developed by warli (2010) to find out students 'cognitive style and students' critical thinking test that refer to Ennis (1985) indicator. Further data on students' critical thinking ability with reflective and implusive cognitive style were analyzed using non parametric statistic using Mean Withney test. Based on the results of data analysis shows there are differences in the way students think critically between the cognitive-style reflective and implusive. Cognitive-style students are reflective in critical thinking higher than students with cognitive-style impulses. So it can be concluded that students with cognitive-style reflective critical thinking skills are better than cognitive-style students are implusive in Biology lesson through Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model using Media Puzzle.

Abstract

Analisis Variasi Genetik Varian Jati Arboretum dengan Penanda Mikrosatelit Abstract:  The selection of teak is to obtain superior properties is not enoughby only through morphological markers , but also need to use molecular markers based on DNA polymorphism. Based on these studies, it is need to be done in terms of plant genetic identity at the DNA level, to look at genetic variation. Genetic variation identity information required for the supply of seeds for the development of industrial tree plantations, with the aim of preventing inbreeding and for conservation purposes. The purpose of this study is to analyze the genetic variations teak variant arboretum with microsatellite molecular markers and develop enrichment book studies of the molecular basics of plant particularly microsatellite molecular markers in the analysis of genetic variation in resulting of high quality variants of teak-arboretum. As for achieving the first objective research steps performed is as follows: DNA isolation, DNA amplification, and electrophoresis of amplification product. The data obtained are analyzed with the GENEPOP Package version 4.0.10 program, the results are in the form of information about the frequency of alleles, heterozygosity, genic and genotype differentiation, and migration of alleles. The research design is by Plomp (1997) which only up to 4 stages, namely: 1) the initial assessment stage; 2) design stage; 3) the realization phase (construction); and 4) the stage of testing, evaluation, and revision. The conclusions obtained are: 1) variant of teak arboretum showed as high genetic variation; 2) resulted in the enrichment of book studies the molecular basics of plant quality. Key Words: genetic variation, variant teak, arboretum, microsatellite markers, books enrichment Abstrak: Seleksi tanaman jati untuk memperoleh sifat unggul tidak cukup melalui penanda morfologi, tetapi juga perlu digunakan penanda molekuler berdasarkan polimorfisme DNA. Berdasarkan hal tersebut perlu dilakukan kajian tanaman jati dari segi genetik pada level DNA, untuk melihat variasi ge-netik. Informasi variasi genetik jati diperlukan dalam pengadaan bibit untuk pembangunan hutan tanaman industri, dengan tujuan mencegah terjadinya inbreeding dan untuk keperluan konservasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis variasi genetik varian jati arboretum dengan penanda molekuler mikrosatelit dan menyusun buku pengayaan kajian dasar-dasar molekuler tumbuhan khusus-nya penanda molekuler mikrosatelit dalam menganalisis variasi genetik varian jati arboretum yang berkualitas. Adapun untuk mencapai tujuan pertama dilakukan langkah-langkah penelitian sebagai berikut: isolasi DNA, amplifikasi DNA, dan elektroforesis hasil amplifikasi. Data yang sudah diperoleh dianalisis dengan program GENEPOP Package versi 4.0.10, hasilnya berupa informasi mengenai frekuensi alel, heterozigositas, genic dan genotype differentiation, serta migrasi alel. Rancangan peneliti-an yang digunakan menurut Plomp (1997) yang hanya sampai 4 tahap, yakni: 1) tahap pengkajian awal; 2) tahap perancangan; 3) tahap realisasi (konstruksi); dan 4) tahap pengujian, evaluasi, dan revisi. Simpulan yang didapat adalah: 1) varian jati arboretum menunjukkan adanya variasi genetik yang tinggi; 2) menghasilkan buku pengayaan kajian dasar-dasar molekuler tumbuhan yang berkualitas.Kata kunci: variasi genetik, varian jati, arboretum, penanda mikrosatelit, buku pengayaan

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji tentang teori kemampuan membuktikan pernyataan dengan strategi scaffolding berbasis komputer. Kajian yang tertulis dalam artikel mempunyai tujuan untuk memberikan penjelasan bagaimana kemampuan membuktikan pernyataan dengan strategi scaffolding berbasis komputer. Strategi scaffolding dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam memahami bagaimana cara menyelesaikan permasalahan dengan bertahap yang cocok dengan zone of proximal development mahasiswa. Melalui kegiatan komputer mahasiswa bisa memandang konsep-konsep matematika yang abstrak dari sisi kongkrit sehingga bisa meningkatkan nilai tes retensi serta memecahkan sebuah masalah. Dengan memanfaatkan komputer, pembelajaran dapat efektif dan efisien sehingga sangat cocok jika  scaffolding yang diberikan dalam pembelajaran mendayagunakan teknologi komputer. Bentuk scaffolding yang diberikan dengan memanfaatkan penggunaan komputer dalam membuktikan sebuah pernyataan bisa berbentuk video, gambar dan animasi. Dengan demikian aktivitas komputer bisa menjadikan matematika jadi lebih bermakna dan meningkatkan motivasi mahasiswa dalam membuktikan pernyataan. Teori yang telah dirangkum oleh penulis dalam artikel ini terdiri dari berbagai sumber dan teori, serta artikel yang telah ditulis penulis sebelumnya yang dapat dijadikan sebagai acuan dalam menguatkan sebuah pendapat.

Abstract

Struktur aljabar merupakan salah satu materi matematika aksiomatik yang syarat dengan definisi dan teorema yang memuat konsep yang abstrak, karena sifatnya yang abstrak mahasiswa merasa kesulitan dalam memahaminya. Kendala yang dihadapi mahasiswa dalam mengikuti matakuliah struktur aljabar adalah kesulitan menyelesaikan masalah yang berhubungan dengan bukti. Berdasarkan beberapa penelitian para ahli mahasiswa cenderung mengalami kesulitan dalam mengkonstruksi bukti. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dalam kegiatan pembelajaran mahasiswa perlu mendapatkan bantuan dari seorang dosen atau orang yang lebih ahli untuk menjadi fasilitator. Scafolding adalah pemberian bantuan dalam proses pembelajaran kepada mahasiswa untuk menyelesaikan masalah, tugas yang berupa gambar, petunjuk, dan pemberian contoh yang bertujuan agar mahasiswa mampu menyelesaikan masalah matematika yang diberikan secara mandiri. Jadi scaffolding dalam struktur aljabar merupakan salah satu bentuk pendampingan kognitif dosen kepada mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan pemahaman baru yang bisa juga dituangkan dalam buku ajar/lembar kerja mahasiswa maupun model pembelajaran sehingga mahasiswa mampu bekerjasama dalam menyelesaikan suatu masalah serta mampu menjaga  mahasiswa dari rasa gagal melalui berbagai bantuan berupa strategi dan prosedur-prosedur kunci untuk menyelesaikan soal struktur aljabar yang difokuskan pada tujuan pembelajaran dan kesuksesan mahasiswa.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji teori tentang tehnik scaffolding dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membuktikan pernyataan pada mahasiswa. Kajian dalam artikel bertujuan memberikan penjelasan tentang bagaimana tehnik scaffolding dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membuktikan pernyataan. Kemampuan membuktikan pernyataan sangat penting bagi mahasiswa matematika, mengingat pentingnya hal tersebut, maka perlu diberikan tehnik perkuliahan yang bias membantu dalam tahap awal perkuliahan kemudian mengurangi bantuan dengan memberikan tanggung jawab atau kesempatan pada mahasiswa menjadi mahasiswa yang mandiri dan bisamengoptimalkan kemampuannya. Tehnik scaffolding telah banyak digunakan dan diteliti untuk mewujudkan tujuan perkuliahan dan kesuksesan mahasiswa.  Teori yang di rangkum oleh penulis didukung  dari berbagai sumber dan teori yang telah dirangkum yang dijadikan acuan penulis untuk menguatkan pendapat.
