Abstract

This study was based on the low learning outcomes of social studies in fourth grade students at SDN 167 Pekanbaru. To overcome this learning problem, classroom action research is carried out by applying the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) approach. The purpose of this study is to improve social studies learning outcomes by applying the CTL approach. This research is a classroom action research conducted in the fourth grade SDN 167 Pekanbaru with a total of 20 students. This research was conducted in two cycles, the data collection techniques used were observation and written tests. The analysis technique used is descriptive analysis of data on teacher and student activities and social studies learning outcomes. The results of the study state that the application of the CTL approach can improve the activities of teachers and students as well as social studies learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the application of animation films media in order to improve the ability to write anecdotal texts in students. The study was conducted on students of class X IPA 7 at SMAN 15 Surabaya. This research was a classroom action research study consisting of two cycles. Classroom action research is focused on improving the ability to write anecdotal text of students when learning slimming. The results of the research showed an increase both in terms of the anecdotal writing learning process (student cooperation, student initiative, student attention, and systematic work), as well as the quality of student skills results (students' ability to express ideas, vocabulary, use of EBI, and evaluation).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was conducted to determine differences in students' complex problem solving skills before and after the application of outdoor learning methods. This study uses a Pre-Experimental Design research method using one group pretest posttest design with a total of 19 students. The results of the study stated that in the pretest has an average value of 49.05 with the highest value of 76 and the lowest value of 11. After being given treatment using outdoor learning methods, the results of complex problem solving skills of students increased significantly namely having an average value of 60 with the highest value of 83 and the lowest value is 16. The average increase in the pretest and posttest is 0.21 with low interpretation. Therefore it can be concluded that there are differences in complex problem solving skills of students of class V SDN 56 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

The research aims to improve students' communication mathematis skills through the provision of an experiment that is the application of a problem based learning approach based scaffolding in elementary school students. The research design uses Quasi Experimental design with pre-posttest design. This research was conducted in 6 classes from 3 different elementary schools in Bandung with the number of research subjects consisting of 2 classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. Experimental class getting learning with problem based learning approach based scaffolding and control class getting conventional learning. The number of subjects was 191 students with details: in the experimental class were 89 students and the control class were 102 students, each of whom was spread over 3 different elementary schools. The results showed that there was an increase in mathematical communication skills after PBL-based scaffolding compared with students taught by conventional methods, where the estimated marginal mean value in the experimental group was higher than in the control group, which was 0.318> 0.124.

Abstract

Affective domain assessment at the spiritual level is one type of assessment in Islamic Religious Education learning. However, the problems found in the field, Islamic Religious Education teachers tend to ignore affective assessments at the spiritual level and focus more learning on cognitive completion alone. The purpose of this study is 1) To develop an assessment model of learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education in Private Madrasah Tsanawiyah Rokan Hulu Regency which has been carried out so far. 2) To develop an ideal Model of Learning Outcomes of Islamic Religious Education in Tsanawiyah Private Madrasah in Rokan Hulu Regency. This type of research uses the development (Research and Development). The results of this study are 1) The assessment model of Islamic Religious Education learning outcomes in Private MTs is declared invalid. and 2) The ideal model of assessment of learning outcomes of Islamic Education in Private Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Rokan Hulu Regency, the writer does through the process of research and development (Research and Development). After the formulation of a model for evaluating Islamic religious education learning outcomes is formed, the model for evaluating Islamic religious education learning outcomes is more effective and efficient.

Abstract

This research aims to describe to enhancement malay cultural knowledge of students Elementary School in Pekanbaru. The research was conducted at SDN 191 Pekanbaru City with the focus of the object of the research werw the students of class VI. The design of this research was PTK (Classroom Action Research). The initial data of students was obtained namely 66.38 and in the first cycle 72.75 increased by a difference of 6.37 units. While the average student learning outcomes in the first cycle of 72.75 and in the second cycle of 78.81 has increased by a difference of 6.06 units. The action is carried out by the teacher, by the teacher together with the students, or students under the guidance and direction of the teacher, with a view to improving and improving the quality of learning.

Abstract

This research purpose to knowing affected of: 1) crosswords puzzle learning to learning motivation at third class in Harapan Umat Elementari School IT Purbalingga, 2) Crosswords puzzle learning to learning result at third class. Research method was experiment, with two group treatments that were control group and experiment group. Group control was 3C class and experiment group was 3F class. Data using in this research were primary and secondary data. And then data be analyzed by Independent Sample t-test. Result of the research have shown: 1) crosswords puzzle learning significant affected to learning motivation at third class in Harapan Umat Elementary School IT Purbalingga; and 2) crosswords puzzle learning affected to learning result at third class.

Abstract

The background of this research is the problem of reading ability of first gradestudents in SDN 009 Kepau Jaya, Siak Hulu Subdistrict, Kampar Regency. The students have difficulty recognizing letters, even though the teacher often repeats the letters in front of the class, saying words, and matching pictures with writing when the teacher uses the task of matching images with children's writing, and it tends to be less able to do it. This study aims to analyze the first grade students’ reading ability . The population and sample in this study were all first grade students, 30 students, from SDN 009 Kapau Jaya, Siak Hulu Subdistrict, . The method used in this research is quantitative. The data collection technique used was observation and they were analyzed to find out the results of descriptive statistics that illustrated the level of first grade students’ reading ability. Based on the results of the study it was found that the first grade students’ reading ability was low. This can be seen in the category of scores obtained by students where 60% of students are in the low initial reading ability, while the remaining 40% of students are in moderate reading ability. This is influenced by physiological factors, intellectual factors, environmental factors, and psychological factors.

Abstract

This research aims to: 1) find out how the management of improving the quality of SD Negeri 1 Gumelar as a superior school; 2) find out the impact of school quality improvement management on student achievement; 3) find out the impact of school quality improvement management on the results of USBN grade VI students. Research activities carried out at SD 1 Gumelar Elementary School. The study was conducted for 4 (four) months, starting from March until June 2019. This research is a descriptive study with qualitative and quantitative approaches. Data collection techniques and tools were carried out by distributing questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of the study show that: 1) Gumelar Elementary School 1 has implemented management of quality improvement in eight national education standards well and optimally. Management of quality improvement that has not been optimal can be seen in graduate competency standards, educator standards and education staff as well as standards of facilities and infrastructure. 2) The management of quality improvement carried out has a very good impact on student achievement. It was proven that SD Negeri 1 Gumelar became the overall champion in the race activities at the sub district level in 2019. 3) The results of the study showed that the management of quality improvement had no impact on the results of USBN for Grade VI students in 2018 and 2019. The results of USBN in 2019 only reached 25 Gumelar District.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the scientific approach in the curriculum 2013 in class VB Public Elementary School 13 of Pekanbaru. This research is a descriptive qualitative study. The subjects in this study were teachers of class VB Public Elementary School 13 of Pekanbaru. Data collection techniques used in this study include: observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that the teacher has carried out learning activities by applying the scientific approach. Activities carried out in learning include observing activities, the questioning activity, the activity of trying, reasoning, dan communicating activities. To activities of teacher of class VB SDN 13 Pekanbaru has carried out learning by applying the scientific approach but has not been implemented optimally.
