Abstract

Purpose: The fundamental purpose of the study was to determine which domain of the online advertising significantly influence consumer buying behavior. Design/methodology/approach: This study employed a quantitative non-experimental research design utilizing correlational technique. The survey was conducted at Tagum City, Davao del Norte, Philippines. A total of 365 customers participated in this study. Findings: Results revealed that online advertising is much evident as perceived by the customers. On the other hand, the consumer buying behavior towards purchasing smartphones is much observed. The statistical result further revealed that there was a significant relationship between online advertising and consumer buying behavior of smartphone customers. Research limitations/implications: There are only two variables considered in this paper: Online advertising and consumer buying behavior; Intervening variables are not considered and the sample for this study is 365 using a random sampling method. Practical implications: Among the five indicators, stimulation, brand recall, and necessity were found to have significantly predicted consumer buying behavior in purchasing smartphones. Originality/value: This paper is a collaborative effort of the researchers to understand consumer behavior of smartphone customers relative to online advertising. Paper type: Research paper

Abstract

Destination: to analyze and prove the effect of work ethic on organizational commitment and its impact on employee performance. This type of research is included in explanatory research or explanatory research. The population in this study were all employees atNorth Kalimantan Forest Service Design / methodology / approach: The data analysis technique used in this study is a path analysis approach. Findings:The results showed that partially work ethic has a significant effect on employee performance with the assumption that organizational commitment is considered constant. In addition, the results of this study also indicate that partially work ethic has a significant effect on employee organizational commitment. Then partially organizational commitment has a significant effect on employee performance with the assumption that the work ethic variable is considered constant. Furthermore, a simultaneous test was carried out where the results of this study showed that work ethic and organizational commitment together had a significant effect on employee performance. Organizational commitment is able to mediate the effect of work ethic on employee performance. Abstract

The main goal of this study was to determine if there is a significant relationship between work values and organizational commitment among employees of UM Tagum College using quantitative non-experimental research design utilizing correlational technique with 106 employees of UM Tagum College using purposive sampling technique in determining the respondents. Mean and Pearson (r) were the statistical tools used for data treatment. Results showed a very high level of both intrinsic and extrinsic work values among employees of UM Tagum College. Moreover, high level of organizational commitment was attributed among employees of UM Tagum College. Lastly, the result further showed that intrinsic work values and extrinsic work values have significant relationship with organizational commitment among employees of UM Tagum College.

Abstract

Purpose: The objective of this article is to clarify the mechanism through which entrepreneurial passion affects entrepreneurial intention. This article empirically investigate whether perceived behavior control have a mediating effects on the relationship between entrepreneurial passion and entrepreneurial intention. It is based on cognitive perspectives; the present study aimed to identify the impact of entrepreneurial passion on entrepreneurial intention. Design/methodology/approach: The research method is quantitative. The sample of this study comprised 240 respondents from the public of Tunisian project leaders. Data were gathered using a self-report administered questionnaire, and hypotheses were tested with structural equation modelling. Findings:. The results demonstrate that the relationship between passion and intention is mediated by perceived behavioral control. We found that the mediating effect of perceived behavioral control is partial. Implications/recommendations: Our study has some practical implications for the researcher and entrepreneuship education who are directly and indirectly involved in enhancing the growth of entrepreneurship. Practical implications: This article gives rise to a new reflection on the analysis of entrepreneurial behavior based on a psychological and affective approach. Paper type: Research paper

Abstract

Purpose: is to find out and analyze determine the effect of service quality on customer satisfaction, service quality on customer loyalty, customer satisfaction on customer loyalty and the role of customer satisfaction as a mediation of the effect of service quality on customer loyalty in Teluk Lamong loading and unloading container terminal. Design/methodology/approach: Design of this research uses quantitative research. Research limitations/implications: This research conducted on Teluk Lamong customers with include 229 respondents samples and are distributed through questionnaires, as well as the data results are processed using SEM PLS version 3.0. Practical implications: The results prove that there is a significant effect of service quality on customer satisfaction at PT Terminal Teluk Lamong. The second results imply that there is a significant effect of service quality on customer satisfaction at PT Terminal Teluk Lamong. Likewise, the effect of customer satisfaction on customer loyalty at PT Terminal Teluk Lamong is also significant. Satisfaction is also confirmed to mediate the effect of service quality on customer loyalty. Originality/value: This Paper Is Original Paper type: This paper can be categorized as case study paper.

Abstract

Objective: is to analyze and get empirical evidence of the effect of investment decisions, funding decisions, dividend policy, good corporate governance and profit management both partially and simultaneously on economic value added. Design/method/approach: the method used is quantitative method with causality, survey and explanatory as well as predictive. The population in this research is manufacturing companies in Indonesia from various sectors of 2013-2017 and based on purposive sampling technique, the sample is 37 companies. Results: the result of the study shows that of the five predictor variables, the dividend policy is the only predictor variable that has effect on economic value added, while simultaneously all predictor variables are not able to affect the economic value added variable. Limitations/research implications: the population of this study is manufacturing companies from various with different industries ratio. Practical implications: to meet the economic value added value, the profit management (income smoothing) does not need to be implemented. For the investors to pay attention to the financial decisions of the companies. Originality/value: is using the profit management, especially income smoothing action as a predictor variable on economic value added. Abstract

Purpose: This study discusses the influence of Corporate Governance and macroeconomics on financial stability in the Islamic banking sector. Design/methodology/approach: This study employed a quantitative and Data analysis uses panel data regression. Findings: while the independent variable in this study is Corporate Governance and Macroeconomics, with the results showing that Corporate Governance and macroeconomics have no partial effect.. Research limitations/implications: There are only two variables considered in this paper: corporate governance and macroeconomic. Practical implications: partially corporate governance has no effect and macroeconomics has a negative effect. Originality/value: TThis study calculates and finds out the truth of corporate governance and macroeconomic variables on financial stability. Abstract

Purpose: The informal sector consists of all unregistered businesses operating as street vendors and home-based businesses. Although these businesses employ about 6 out of every 10 workers worldwide, they encounter numerous challenges in carrying out their daily operations. Therefore, in this chapter, the challenges faced by informal traders located in the Durban central district of South Africa’s Kwa-Zulu Natal province are investigated. Design/methodology/approach: This study employs the qualitative research approach utilising structured interviews to obtain data. The Snowball sampling method assisted the researchers to obtain the required data and was analysed using Content Analysis. Findings: The results shows that, lack of business space for trading and storage, lack of funding to expand business, poor hygiene and the lack of ablution facilities for traders as well as municipal harassment were the major constraints of the informal operators.

Abstract

The role of law and social stratification for online taxi bike consumers regarding implementation Law No. 8 of 1999, using normative descriptive methods. The Law uncurtained concerning taxi bike position as a transportation mode. And since motorbike is likely uncommonly used public transportation. Not only for the taxi bike driver in general, but this issue is also addressed to Gojek driver since the main service of Gojek is using a motorbike as made of transportation. Regarding the after-mentioned issue, according to article 1 1 of Law No. 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection (BFL) on 20 April 1999(Indonesia, 1999) it is obvious that the relation of online taxi bike system is so relevant, observe by social stratification approach since it is hierarchically structured. Thus causing a relationship between law and social stratification as are chain reactive it is stated within by the law. There is existing discrimination in public caused by social discrimination that can be legally overcome, and law guarantees equality for all.

Abstract

In the era of business volatility and uncertainty, there are companies that dealing with loss caused by fraudulence and unethical actions. Good Corporate Governance (GCG) known as one of the best management frameworks, is now being adapted and implemented by many of companies around the world. It is often referred as the formal standard for business principles and corporate ethics. This research paper aims to measure the influence (including correlation) of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) implementation towards the employee performance in PT. XYZ, Surabaya. Method used in this study is simple linear regression applying the equation of Y=a+bX. Some of activities done here include observation and analysis where survey is conducted using questionnaire, process of identification and data modelling, parametric testing, goodness of fit evaluation, and also hypothesis examination. Based on the analysis result, it is found that Good Corporate Governance implementation has influence towards employee performance positively and significantly in PT. XYZ with coefficient determination value at the number of 0,41 which is categorized as fine correlation.
