Abstract

Purpose: Hang Nadim Airport is the only airport in Batam. And recently, Hang Nadim Airport closed some of their flight route. This cause less plane to fly, and will increase the potential of flight delays. Flight rescheduling can be main reason of dissatisfaction. But besides that, this paper will also focus on check-in service speed, check-in hospitality, comfortability, security, hygiene, food & beverages, providing accurate information, pricing, online services, and facilities provided for the indicators on service satisfaction. The method used in this research is Interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA). The data obtained are: Hang Nadim Airport needs to improve on providing accurate information about departure and arrival time and facilities, food & beverages; pricing; and online services are the lowest priority at Hang Nadim Airport, and check-in service speed; check-in hospitality; comfortability; security; and hygiene is where Hang Nadim Airport needs to keep up the good work. Design/methodology/approach: Analyzing data collected from Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) questionnaire. Findings: Indicators that need to be improved, or keep up for Hang Nadim Airport. This way, they can give satisfying service towards passengers. Research limitations/implications: This paper is very limited on sample size. We were only able to collect total of 109 respondents, which is very small compared to Hang Nadim Airport user. Practical implications: Giving inputs toward Hang Nadim Airport many indicators to be improved, or keep up, in hope it will be implemented in the future. Originality/value: The analysis process of this research paper is originally made by authors and purely based on research and study. Paper type: Research paper.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to determine the factors that affect employee performance in higher education, consisting of job satisfaction and psychological well-being, where to produce high performance requires positive employee job satisfaction as well as the psychological well-being of employees in the institutional environment. Design/methodology/approach: The research used in this study is quantitative research Findings: There is a significant influence of job satisfaction and psychological well-being on employee performance at universities in Balikpapan or hypothesis 1 is accepted. good job satisfaction will result in good performance as well and Good psychological well-being at work is when individuals have motivation, are involved in a job, have positive energy, feel happy with all the activities undertaken and last long at the job they are currently doing. Abstract

Purpose: The goal of this study is to determine the effectiveness of village budget policies in community economic empowerment during the Covid-19 pandemic by analyzing the implementation of village funds. Design/methodology/approach: The data was analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis with village leaders and officials. Findings: According to the findings of this study, the implementation of the village fund policy in Pangkul village during the Covid-19 period went off without a hitch. The allocation of village fund budgets in empowering economic communities in Pangkul village was quite effective. People in Pangkul Village were educated on the Covid-19 pandemic. Practical implications: Pangkul Village has also developed a new program, namely a resilient village, in order to keep its community stable and maintained in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. Abstract

Purpose: The study draws on the social network theory to examine the influence of interpersonal relations on the task performance at the individual employee, team and divisional levels in the Nigerian Police Force. Design/methodology/approach: The study adopted a cross sectional survey design and a sample of 556 police men was selected through the application of multi-stage sampling procedures. The data collection instrument was designed in line with the 5-point Likert scale while the instrument was validated through content validity approach and the reliability of the instrument is determined using the test-retest method. Findings: Data were collected through the self-report of the policemen while analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics, run mean test and Chi-square test and the results indicated that interpersonal relations influence employee, team and divisional task performance in the Nigerian Police Force. Practical implications: We recommended that instrumental ties and social communities in the fabric of the Nigerian Police Force should be promoted to further advance the critical roles of crime fighting and prevention with a view to reducing criminality in Nigeria. Originality/value: To the best of the authors' knowledge, this research is original and adds new value to the field by being the first of its kind. Paper type: Research paper

Abstract

Purpose: This research was conducted at SMA (Senior High School) and SMK (Vocational High School) Kawung 2 Surabaya with the aim of analyzing the influence of the work environment on teacher performance, analyzing the effect of compensation on teacher performance, and analyzing the effect of work professionalism on teacher performance, analyzing the influence of work environment mediated by work professionalism on teacher performance, analyzing the effect of compensation mediated by work professionalism on teacher performance. Design/methodology/approach: The population of this study were teachers of SMA and SMK Kawung 2 Surabaya with a total of 52 teachers. Data analysis using multiple linear regression using SPSS software. Findings: The results showed that work environment has a significant effect on teacher performance, compensation has a significant effect on teacher performance, work professionalism has a significant effect on teacher performance, work professionalism is able to mediate the effect of work environment on teacher performance, and work professionalism is able to mediate the effect of compensation on performance teacher. Abstract

Purpose: Knowledge management nowadays becoming a huge area in terms of managing in any organization that closely related to human resources, organizational development, change management, information technology, brand and reputation management, performance measurement, and evaluation. The emergence of knowledge management in light of the very dynamic workforce in the hospitality industry especially in developing states ignites the need to understand its role. Thus, this study aims to discover the relationship of knowledge management and employee commitment in the hospitality industry so organizations can devise a good HR plan most especially for committed employees. Design/methodology/approach: This study was done in Davao Region, Philippines with 450 employees from the various sectors of the hospitality industry using a survey method. Findings: Empirical findings revealed that knowledge management and organizational commitment are of high levels are described by the respondents. Further, knowledge management and organizational commitment are significantly correlated with each other which implies significant role in the developing and molding skillful and committed employees in the hospitality industry. Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the effect of accountability, transparency, and supervision on value for money-based budget performance in Mojokerto City. Design/methodology/approach: In this study, sampling is carried out using the purposive sampling method. The research sample consists of 51 respondents in regional apparatus organizations in Mojokerto City. The analytical technique used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis. Findings: The results show that transparency and supervision have a significant effect on value for money-based budget performance, while accountability has no significant effect on value for money-based budget performance. Abstract

Purpose: Human Resources are the most important thing in the organization, so that the company's activities can run well, as well as efforts to carry out all organizational activities to the maximum extent possible so that employee performance increases. The factor that needs to be considered is the leadership style, this is important because it is one of the components that affect performance. The second factor is the workload that is not in accordance with the work that should be done by other parts, in the end they are passive in responding to work. Work stress also affects employees who work hand in hand at work that is not actually part of their job, employees become ineffective in doing their jobs. This study aims to determine the effect of leadership style, workload and work stress on the performance of employees. Design/methodology/approach: This type of research uses a quantitative approach. Findings: The results of this study indicate that leadership style has a negative and insignificant effect on employee performance; workload has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The influence of leadership style, workload and work stress has a positive and significant effect on performance. Research limitations/implications: The scope used in this study only covers one area in the Unit Polisi Pamong Praja of East Java Province which is not too large and broad, so the research results cannot be generalized to the wider population. In addition, this study only produced data from a questionnaire instrument based on the perceptions of the respondent’s answers. Originality/value: This paper is original. Abstract

Purpose: The Covid-19 pandemic has led to corporate financial decline caused by reduced profits and sales. Additionally, the decline in corporate finances has also been attributed to a decrease in sales within companies. The purpose of this research is to investigate the impact of sales growth on the occurrence of financial distress in food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange. Design/methodology/approach: The variable used in this study is sales growth, which is used to measure a company's ability to maintain its economic position in a growing economy, as well as in the industry or product market in which it operates, as a means of survival in the face of intense market competition. Findings: This study utilises a qualitative approach, employing descriptive analysis techniques through a literature review (library research). The findings of this research indicate that sales growth has a significant impact on financial distress in food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange during the 2019-2020 periods. Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to determine the development of research on social media marketing articles and find out how VOSviewer visualization is based on keywords and author collaboration on Scopus indexed journal articles. Design/methodology/approach: a systematic mapping with quantitative descriptive method with social media marketing based on bibliometric analysis Findings: Based on the results of the VOSviewer visualization, 6 clusters and 42 keywords were found with 891 authors. Research on social media marketing written by authors from the United States is the most research published on Scopus.
