Abstract

Along with technology that is very fast image processing with high quality can be presented and displayed in many ways. The image has detailed information that can cause problems during processing. Image quantization is done as a preprocessing stage to reduce the number of colors in the image so that the resulting image approaches the original image. The purpose of this study is to group clusters of characteristics with the same image value.

Abstract

So far, the rural population of fuel users make firewood stoves from ground or cement. Often waiting is made less efficient and produces a lot of smoke pollution, especially if the level of dryness of the wood is low. From this background, then came the idea for the manufacture of stoves that save fuel wood and minimal smoke pollution. Furthermore, to be able to achieve this goal, in this study a biomass furnace will be developed that has a combustion air regulation system and a firewood drying system before use. Research implementation is divided into furnace design (design and fabrication) and testing (combustion characteristics and performance). Research begins with the design of the dimensions and shape of the furnace to be made. Furthermore, fabrication of stoves from Stainless Steel plate materials will be carried out at the Mechanical Technology Laboratory, IST AKPRIND. The stove produced by the construction will be tested with fuel wood in terms of combustion characteristics and performance. The results show that biomass stoves can be used and produced for household and small-scale industries.

Abstract

In the agricultural sector there are many mushroom farmers who do manual cultivation. Environmental factors that influence the growth of oyster mushrooms include temperature and humidity. This system was made to maintain the stability of temperature and humidity in oyster mushrooms’ greenhouse remotely. Communication of remote data exchange between Raspberry-Pi and Zelio using TCP/IP networks was successfully carried out. The system managed to run the features in the setting menu which is able to set the temperature and humidity set point values, set the on/off condition of the actuators, display the local system set point and set the on/off condition of the enable button in the GUI. Temperature and humidity values, and actuator status can displayed in monitoring menu. In the logging menu, the data was saved in csv format. Automatic file naming based on date was successfully done, the csv file was successfully opened  and displayed in graphical plot.

Abstract

The continued development of technology driven by the growing digital media facilities. A digital device in particular should pay attention to the level of security. Ease of sending messages in both text and image becomes very easy. However, one thing is important in the information, which can be performed using encryption steganography. In this thesis, steganography implemented by utilizing the mobile phone messaging facilities. The process of insertion into the text is converted into a binary image first, then take the final bit of the binary to insert text to be inserted. After the insertion process, the message to be sent by using the provider as the link destination address. The process of sending a message that has been tested on several telecommunication provider in Indonesia indicates the existence of different delivery success rate, but the message until it can not be opened unless the application has been made.

Abstract

Cracks that occur in the structure will be very dangerous if left alone. Cracks can propagate and will eventually cause the structure to fail. Cracks that occur will cause singularity at the end of the crack, and the stress level is very high or reaches without limit (infinity). Stress intensity factor (SIF) is used to determine behavior of structures with crack. One of method that can predict SIF is displacement extrapolation method. Displacement extrapolation methods predict SIF by nodal displacement near end of crack. This research is to predict SIF of a thin plate with a single edge crack of 1.27 mm. The crack mode used in this research is mode I (opening mode) with a tension stress of 60 MPa. Nodal displacement for calculating SIF is taken from result of analyzing the cracked model using Patran / nastran. SIF prediction result from displacement extrapolation then to be compared with the results of analytical calculation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of demographic factors ( age , gender , education , experience ) and personality factors ( computer anxiety , computer attitude , math anxiety ) to the end user computing expertise of personnel either partially or simultaneously . Models the influence of the demographic variables and personality skills in end user computing research model replicated from Harrison and Rainer (1992 ) and the research model and Gudono Rifa (1998). The study was conducted on teacher and administrative employees of State High School I to XI in Yogyakarta Municipality considering charging adminsitrasinya teacher certification performed with computerized online program for you State , appropriate curriculum in 2013 all teachers in the learning process to educate students using computerized , so too the acceptance of new students each academic year always use the on-line computerized . Thus both teachers and administrative staff are required to have expertise in End user Computing . So the research conducted to analyze the influence of demographic factors and personality to expertise in End User Computing. The results showed that demographic factors (age - gender - experience) has a direct influence on the expertise in end user computing 0 , 001 ; 0 , 027 ; 0,007 . Personality factors of computer anxiety (fear - Anticipation 0.057) ; computer attitude (Intimidation 0.05) has a direct influence on the expertise in end user computing . The results were quite surprising is the demographic factors (educational 0.117) , personality factors of computer attitude (0.760 pessimism - optimism 0.150) ; math anxiety (0.334) is not significant enough to expertise in end user computing . To improve performance in the Public High Schools in Yogyakarta municipality with regard to the introduction of new technology on- line computerized system above , need to be considered in decisions about withdrawal of the human resources , training and implementation of computer education for personnel and equipment. Provision of adequate facilities is expected to increase its expertise in end user computing , which in turn improves the performance of State High School and individual performance

Abstract

Pemantauan curah hujan yang dilakukan oleh BMKG, merupakan modal sebagai dasar penelitian ini yang bertujuan untuk membuat sistem peringatan dini bencana longsor berbasis web pada Kota Pagar Alam, dengan mendata curah hujan yang terjadi sebagai bahan antisipasi terjadinya tanah longsor di wilayah Pagar Alam. Agar penelitian ini berjalan sesuai dengan yang diharapkan menjadi sistem peringatan dini yang bisa diakses secara daring, maka digunakan metodologi penelitian dan analisa yang mendalam. Dengan metode pengembangan sistem Rapid Aplication Development (RAD), dengan perancangan menggunakan flowchart dan Unified Modelling Language (UML), dengan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan basis data MySQLi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sistem peringgatan dini bencana longsor berbasis web di wilayah Kota Pagar Alam yang merupakan daerah pegunungan, dengan memanfaatkan klasifikasi curah hujan sangat ringan, ringan, sedang, lebat dan sangat lebat.

Abstract

The use of optical fiber transmission media at the Air Data System is affected by the development of optical fiber technology. The system is able to present the data required by the flight crews quickly and accurately. Therefore, it supports the success of a certain mission. In addition, the air data system using the transmission medium optical fiber also has advantages other than the copper cables, i.e: immune to EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference), RFI (Radio Frequency Interference), EMP (Electro Magnetic Pulses), and will not experience any disruption caused by the occurrence of a short circuit.The fiber optic air data system is designed in consideration with the characteristics of it’s components i.e: the transmitter, optical fiber cable and the data receiver. The study also completely discusses the air data system, from the sensor, Air Data Computer (ADC), and the display of aircraft altitude and speed. .Kata kunci:    Serat optis, sistem data udara, air data computer.

Abstract

Smarthome is made to help relieve human work in the field of automation in residential environments. The purpose of this system is to control the lamps, curtains, and fence doors, which are equipped with the HMI (Human Machine Interface) to display the process in real time. The system of this smarthome is made using Schneider TM221CE24R PLC as a controller. This smarthome controls the lamp with five different lighting brightness conditions by using a UV (Ultraviolet) sensor, controlling the open and close fence doors using the PIR (Passive Infrared) sensor, and controlling the curtains with three different conditions (open full, half closed, full lid) with the LDR sensor. The control of these Smarthome objects is displayed in an HMI (Human Machine Interface). The Operator can monitor the objects that are currently working through the HMI view. Through the testing stage of the tool, there is a conclusion that this smarthome can control objects well.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence-based systems, particularly the field of computer vision more specifically the detection of objects always involves a process of training and testing. The quality of the object detection greatly influenced the training process object detection. Viola-Jones method is often used in object detection process where this method requires a classifier file obtained from the training process. This research is used to determine the trend of the number of the training process on the quality of bottle caps object detection fanta, sprite, Frestea, coca-cola and soda. Tendency obtained can be linear or exponential graph. the result of the research detection a bottle cap, happened saturation amount of test data so that a larger number no longer affect the quality of detection the bottle caps and the relationship between the number of files of positive file and negative file affect the accuracy in detecting an object.
