Abstract

Simulation is one of the tools to solve the problems in a system, including hospital systems. The hospital has objectives and entities that are different from other systems, namely service to patients (humans) primarily, so making some decisions requires consideration due to the complexity of the variables within them. This preliminary study will discuss what problems might occur in the hospital and how the application of the simulation in solving the problem. Based on observations and interviews conducted, it is known that there are four issues: 1.) hospital services 2.) labor allocation (nurses) 3.) capacity and number of rooms/beds 4.) drug supply. Based on the literature search results, it is known that the simulation has the ability to solve these problems. The results of this literature review will then be used as a basis for developing simulation models in hospitals which are the object of research.

Abstract

The increase of transportation need affects an increase in the need for fuel oil. The high fuel consumption can be controlled by refining the combustion process in the combustion chamber, one of them is by heating up the fuel. It could be one way to save fuel. The tests conducted on the Yamaha Jupiter MX assemblied in 2011 on the power, torque and fuel consumption by heating and without heating the fuel. Thevariations of engine speed used were 5000 rpm, 6000 rpm, 7000 rpm and 8000 rpm. The results indicated that the fuel heating through helical coil heat exchangers with oil fluid could increase the average power (7.03%) and the average torque (5.83%) at 6000 rpm - 8000 rpm and decrease the average spesific fuel consumption (17.13%) at 6000 rpm - 8000 rpm

Abstract

PT. XYZ is one of the companies engaged in the production of motorcycle spare parts. In carrying out its operational activities, PT. XYZ has a procurement process. Generally in applying of good procurement, employees must submit a document submission of goods in the printed form and must meet their supervisor directly to ask for approval in a signature. This condition requires quite a long time until the submission document reaches the Director because they have to wait for the signature of each related section. That is quite an obstacle for the employee who submits because the longer the approval process, the longer the procurement process. To overcome this obstacle, a good procurement information system web based was built using phased development methodology. The information system uses SQL Server as database and ASP.Net as programming language. Good procurement information system web-based can accelerate the procurement process.

Abstract

Parallel processing is an effective strategy for describing large problems in smaller problems, in which computing techniques use two or more computers to perform a task simultaneously by optimizing the resources of existing computer systems. This study uses parallel processing techniques, in which the object of the search is the process of finding the number of triple vertices not represented in the graph. The parallel worker process then divides the workload into each process and distributes it to other threads in the system to solve a problem. The model used in parallel processing is shared memory. This model optimizes the performance of threads on the processor. The experiments carried out make it possible to conclude that the processing speed of a parallel system is influenced by the number of processes and the number of vertices. On a single computer, the larger the process, the shorter the process. The same with the increase in the number of vertices resulting in a longer time.

Abstract

The use of questionnaires is needed by a lecturer to make improvements in the implementation of the teaching process in the classroom, so that it can correct deficiencies in the teaching process that has taken place. The results of the questionnaire cannot show the variables that must be corrected by a lecturer based on the item questionnaire. So we need a grouping of data for each variable in the results of the questionnaire. The clustering approach model cannot directly group a variable into an object to be clustered. This study clustered the variables on a questionnaire with the approach of Complete Lingkage Clustering by calculating the distance of the matrix using the Product Moment Corelation to find correlations for each questionnaire variable, so the cluster results obtained were several optimal clusters with the membership of each cluster variables from the questionnaire. Clustering data for questionnaire variables can be applied properly by applying product moment correlation to calculate the distance matrix. The cluster results can show the components of the questionnaire variables that must be corrected by the lecturer.

Abstract

This paper aims to observed the performance of Savonius windmills with 16 guide vanes with variations in the guide vane angle of 30 °, 45 ° and 60 °. Tests are carried out openly with the help of a fan as a source of air flow. The best performance results obtained at wind speeds of 5 m / s, namely the highest power coefficient occurs on the mill with a 45 ° angled guide vane of 24%. The highest torque coefficient is owned by a windmill with a 45 ° angular guide vane of 20% at a rotational speed of 100 rpm.

Abstract

Laravel is one of several frameworks owned by the Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) programming language. Laravel itself was created to facilitate programmers in creating a website with a framework that laravel is expressive and has syntax that is easy to understand. Laravel can also automate common things that are commonly used when building an application such as: Database library, Templating Engine, Session Management, etc. So much used to create a web application. Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and PHP programming languages: Hypertext Preprocessor is the most widely used programming language for creating a web sistem, using the Blade Templating Engine feature in the Laravel Framework will make it easier for programmers to create dynamic interfaces where programmers do not need to repeat the same code on each page, like; Navbar, Sidebar, footer and so on. By using directive yield, section and extends to call the template that has been created.

Abstract

Seiring dengan perkembangan dunia industri saat ini, kebutuhan material untuk sebuah produk bertambah pesat. Para ilmuwan berlomba-lomba untuk menciptakan material baru yang lebih ringan, tahan korosi, dan lebih ekonomis dari logam. Komposit sandwich merupakan jenis komposit struktur yang dikembangkan dan digunakan dalam dunia industri pesawat terbang. Komposit sandwich adalah material komposit yang terdiri dari dua buah skin dimana diantara dua skin tersebut terdapat core. Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui kekuatan bending komposit hybrid sandwich serat Rami-E-glass yang sudah dilakukan treatment alkali dengan orientasi arah serat Undirectional (0°) dan matriks Epoxy Bakelite EPR 174 dengan variasi ketebalan core ukuran 3 mm, 5 mm, dan 8 mm menggunakan metode manufaktur hand lay-up dan vacuum bagging. Pengujian bending mengacu pada standar ASTM C 393 dan ASTM D 792 untuk pengujian densitas. Hasil dari analisis pengujian bending komposit hybrid sandwich Rami-E-glass/Epoxy Undirectional (0°) dengan variasi ketebalan core ukuran 3 mm, 5 mm, dan 8 mm menunjukkan kekuatan bending core kayu balsa 3 mm rata-rata 89,55 MPa, dengan core kayu balsa 5 mm rata-rata sebesar 100,55 MPa, dengan core kayu balsa 8 mm rata-rata 51,49, dan densitas komposit rata-rata sebesar 0,726 gr/cm3.

Abstract

Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance Systems (TCAS) pada pesawat Boeing 737-800 NG memiliki fungsi utama untuk menghindari dan memberi peringatan dari suatu potensi tabrakan antar pesawat di udara. Dengan menganalisis berbagai input dari sinyal balasan pesawat lain dan kemudian memberikan peringatan visual dan/atau aural kepada crew berdasarkan perintah TA maupun TA/RA yang dipilih. Dengan demikian crew bisa mengambil suatu tindakan sehingga potensi kecelakaan bisa dihindari. Pada penelitian ini metode yang digunakan untuk penelitian adalah dengan melakukan observasi langsung dan melakukan penanganan kegagalan kerusakan pesawat Boeing 737-800 NG Garuda Indonesia di Hanggar 2 PT. GMF AeroAsia. Selain itu dilakukan analisis kegagalan pesawat dengan menggunakan metode fault tree analysis. Hasil  troubleshooting dan  fault  tree analysis  ditemukan kegagalan pada TCAS antenna, coaxial cable dan REU yang berpengaruh pada navigasi pesawat. Proses troubleshooting TCAS mengacu pada FIM Boeing 737-800 NG chapter 34-45 task 803 dan 804 dan juga FIM B737-800 NG chapter 23-51 task 803.

Abstract

Keunggulan 3D printing stereolithography (SLA) dalam mencetak spesimen dengan geometri yang komplek dan kekasaran permukaan yang rendah menjadikan teknologi ini semakin banyak digunakan di berbagai bidang. Terlepas dari keunggulan yang dimiliki, sifat mekanis spesimen hasil cetak SLA yang rendah menjadi salah satu kekurangan utamanya. Dari beberapa penelitian telah dilakukan pengujian mekanis yang menunjukkan bahwa parameter cetak mempengaruhi sifat mekanis spesimen hasil cetak. Pada penelitian ini, pengaruh variasi parameter cetak dan post process pada kekerasan spesimen hasil cetak 3D printer SLA diteliti. Variasi parameter cetak pada penelitian ini antara lain build orientation (0o dan 90o), layer thickness (0,05, 0,1, 0,15, dan 0,2 mm), dan curing time (10, 20, 30, dan 40 menit). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa parameter cetak dan post process terbukti mempengaruhi tingkat kekerasan spesimen hasil cetak. Tingkat kekerasan tertinggi yang bernilai 87,9 Shore D didapatkan pada variasi build orientation 0° dengan layer thickness 0,05 mm dan curing time 40 menit.
